Highly recommend! We had our main wedding cake, which came out exactly as we wanted! We also had a smaller, dairy free cake due to a dairy allergy. The bakery worked with us so well! Guests are still saying how much they enjoyed the cake!

We LOVED our wedding cake(s) from DessertWorks! They were so unbelievably delicious, all of our guests told us they enjoyed the cake. I shared a vague description of our vision for the visual, and they completely nailed it! Highly recommend their italian buttercream. I’m not always much of a frosting person, but the italian buttercream is absolutely delicious.

We are grateful to Dessert Works for their loving care of our wedding cake. The Lenox Hotel was our wedding venue. They partner exclusively with Dessert Works for wedding cakes and the cake is included in the Lenox's package. But even so, the cake was an afterthought to us at first, and we opted to exclude it. Wrong idea. We finally got around to looking at Dessert Works' website and when we saw their enticing list of flavors, our mouths started watering. We followed up with the Lenox and said hey, we DO want the cake. We worked with Ashley at Dessert Works. Her warmth and kindness over emails and calls did not go unnoticed. She made it clear that our big day was special for Dessert Works too. She made the process easy as could be, from intake to the final call to confirm the guest count. We were super excited for the cake tasting. Dessert Works gives you their 6 most popular flavors to sample, with the option to add flavors for a small fee. We got 8 flavors which proved more than we needed! We couldn't do the tasting at the bakery, because we were coming from out of town and were on a tight schedule, but Dessert Works made it easy to do our tasting to-go. They packaged all the cake slices into a neat box, with containers of their American and Italian buttercreams on the side. Because neither of us had time to pick it up ourselves, Dessert Works kindly let my mother-in-law pick it up for us. She reported back that the service was great. We chose a combination of their Chocolate Mousse and Vanilla Chocolate. Both have chocolate mousse, of which I am a huge fan. The mousse is delicious, but not too rich. The cake is moist, and not overly sweet. The lightness of the vanilla cake and the density of the chocolate cake provide balance. We had an extravaganza doing a self-led cake tasting with the matron of honor - herself a chocolate lover who affirmed that the mousse was the right choice. From there, Dessert Works kept things moving without ever stressing us out. For the cake design, they sent us a photo gallery of past designs as inspiration. We quickly latched on to an elegant yet simple design of lotus branches with pretty red and pink flowers. We had a video call with Ashley and filled out a comprehensive questionnaire. And that was all we needed to do for cake planning. On the day of, our 3-tier cake exceeded our expectations. Delivery and setup were so seamless, we had no idea it was happening. We didn't think about the cake until we walked in for our reception, and there it was, sitting majestically atop a table. It was DEFINITELY more beautiful in person than in photos. We wish we had more time to admire it. And how did the cake taste that day? Delicious. I had a slice of the Chocolate Mousse to end the night, and it was the best piece of chocolate cake I've had in a long time. Oh, and that tradition of saving a slice of the cake for your anniversary? Dessert Works takes that to the next level with their "honeymoon cake," a beautifully packaged mini version of the wedding cake. It was the cherry on top. We are thrilled with what Dessert Works gave us: A terrific cake created by terrific people. It's funny, we never got to meet any of them in person, so we'll just have to stop by the bakery in Westwood on our next trip to Beantown.

We booked our wedding cake through the Lenox Hotel, and it was so easy to work with Dessert Works. I loved their “take it home” tasting kit, and we ended up going with lemon citrus. We did gold ribbons around the cake, and it was very elegant. Thank you!

We worked with Dessert Works for our wedding as a part of a package with the Lenox. Ashley was great to work with and the cake was perfect! All the flavors we tasted were delicious, and we went with the Boston cream pie flavor. We even received a mini replica of our cake for our anniversary.

Working with Jovani was nothing short of wonderful. Trying to pick through a sea of photographers was definitely a challenge but after browsing Bold As Love's beautiful past work online and speaking to Jo on the phone I knew it would be a perfect fit. Jo was responsive, friendly, and collaborative every step of the way and delivered beautiful work. Taking family portraits the day of our wedding was definitely a challenge because our wedding party and family was larger than most and people kept disappearing or chatting amongst themselves. Despite these challenges Jo and her associate were patient and composed and still managed to capture all the shots on our (very long) shot list. I really appreciated when Jo was able to get a tricky first kiss shot we requested despite warning us that it may be impossible - we really loved her dedication to giving us exactly what we asked for! Aside from professionalism and expertise, Jo was comfortable, funny, and had great shot ideas on the fly that ended up being some of our favorite photographs. DEFINITELY recommend!

We worked with Dessert Works for our wedding as a part of a package with the Four Points by Sheraton, Norwood. Ashley and the rest of the team were so great to work with, and our cake was absolutely perfect. So many people complimented it and told us it was one of the best wedding cakes they had ever had. The mini cake for our anniversary was perfect too! Thank you for being a part of our perfect day!

We picked Dessert Works from the options our venue, Blue Hill Country Club provided us, since the cake was included in our package. The cake was gorgeous and delicious. It was exactly what we expected from our tasting. They were so easy to work with. Everyone keeps raving about the cake and loved the look of it.

Working with the Dessert Works team was an absolute breeze, even through countless postponements and adjustments due to the pandemic. The best part?? Dessert Works was perfect to work with! Very responsive, did what they said they would, looked at pictures and heard are wishes, the cake was delicious, and they offer a free cake tasting, other vendors wanted to charge. I found the staff friendly and easy to work with. They also did my daughters bridal shower cupcakes and cookies. Highly recommend!

Dessert Works did such an amazing job creating our wedding cake exactly as we had requested. The scrollwork and design were beautiful and the colors of the flowers on the cake matched our fall wedding theme perfectly. We had Dessert Works provide our cake for a 150 person wedding and it was perfect! We went with something pretty simple, but it was flawless and tasted amazing. We got a lot of comments on how good the cake was from our guests. I love that they provide a separate anniversary mini-cake as well - great touch! Due to covid we did a "virtual tasting" where we picked up samples to try at home, and honestly this was amazing - gave us the chance to try the cake at home in our sweatpants with a glass of wine. Will definitely be return customers and would recommend to any couple for their wedding cake!

Our cake was perfect! We wanted a two-tiered wedding cake with a backup sheet cake to feed all our guests plenty of cake. The lemon summer berry cake with Italian buttercream was everything a wedding cake should be: moist, delicate, and not too sweet. They reinforced our cake to hold our handmade (and heavy) cake toppers and the buttercream flowers were beautiful. Our guests with food allergies loved the chocolate "nothing" cupcakes too!

We hired Dessert Works to make our wedding cake for our June 2022 wedding, and were extremely happy with the results. After the design was settled, the final result on the day of was a stunning, scrumptious, and moist cake that exactly matched what we were looking for. They skillfully applied our florists' flowers to the cake to match the aesthetic of the rest of the wedding. It looked absolutely gorgeous. Dessert Works also gave us an extra sheet cake and a miniature cake for us to eat on our anniversary. It is these touches that make vendors like Dessert Works a joy to work with. A big thank you to Ashley also who was so responsive and kind during the stressful wedding planning period. Dessert Works has our strong recommendation!

We used Dessert Works through the package with Four Points Sheraton in Norwood, and I’m so grateful they were the bakery! We needed a fully gluten free cake, and WOW did they deliver! Our chocolate cake was truly incredible: every single guest was shocked and awed that it was gluten free and many even said it was the best wedding cake they had ever eaten. They made the whole process so easy for us, and created a beautiful design. One thing to note: the tasting was lovely but for gluten free slices, there are fewer tasting slices included. We still got plenty but just a note. Seriously if you have a gluten allergy, this is the place!

Absolute professionals! Our venue recommended working with Dessert Works, and we're so glad we did! They managed everything directly with the venue so I didn't have to think about a thing. So accommodating and knowledgeable. I absolutely love what they do for the mini anniversary cake to freeze! SO glad we went with them!

Ashley and the DessertWorks crew were absolutley incredible to work with! After a last minute venue change, the shop was super responsive and worked with us to create the cake of our dreams! We requested a three layer wedding cake in Ripe Red Raspberry, and got a second cake in Tuxedo Torte to feed our guest count. We loved the tasting and service so much we even got cupcakes for our rehearsal dinner through Dessert Works! After looking at many south shore bakeries, we are so thankful we found this yummy bakery!

Dessert Works did such a fantastic job with our cake. We went to so many tastings and Dessert Works is where we stopped looking. The cakes not only look amazing, but these are some of the best tasting cakes I've ever had. I was talking to my wife about how forgettable wedding cakes are when it comes to flavor a few weeks before our wedding. After our wedding, so many guests commented on how good the cake was that I was truly surprised at the amount of comments and reactions we got. We had three flavors and the actual cake was gorgeous. I can't recommend Dessert Works enough for their flexibility as well during COVID and our many date changes. Overall, this is our new favorite cake place for all occasions.

We had a great experience with Dessert Works for our wedding cake! The bakers and staff were so nice and responsive to questions via phone calls and email. I sent multiple pictures and my wedding invitation to them for inspiration, and they really created such a beautiful cake - I was blown away when I saw it our wedding day! The cake flavors were SO good, and we were able to have multiple flavors for no extra cost. We were also given a smaller version of our cake, called the "honeymoon cake" that we will enjoy on our anniversary - it is so adorable, and such a unique idea. I cannot recommend Dessert Works enough!

We loved our experience with Dessert Works for our wedding cake. Ashley and Kristen were great to work with. We really weren't picky about our design and they were very helpful in keeping it simple for us and the result was beautiful. The cake itself was delicious and I thought the pricing was extremely fair. We really enjoyed our at-home tasting experience during COVID and it didn't take away from it at all, we were able to decide so quickly as to what we liked, and it was all delicious. We can't wait to have our "honeymoon" cake over the next few days to relive our wedding night.

Dessert works designed our wedding cake beautifully! Ashley was very communicative and kind. The two flavors we chose tasted phenomenal. They used the fresh florals we brought them and the cake looked lovely! Would highly recommend them as your wedding cake vendor!

We had a great experience with Dessert Works. Their standard flavors, which all have mousse fillings, were delicious, but I chose to add the lemon summer berry to our tasting on a whim. It was phenomenal! We ended up picking that for our flavor and then worked with Ashley to complete the design. She was very helpful and responsive. The final product was beautiful and tasted just as good as the tasting slice. We got many compliments from guests. Our complementary honeymoon cake (red velvet) was also very tasty and adorable. We highly recommend Dessert Works!

Due to changes in COVID protocols they had two weeks to make us a larger cake with a complicated anthurium design...and they nailed it! The cake design was gorgeous and so many guests raved about how light and flavorful the cake was - highly recommend

I HIGHLY recommend Dessert Works! We have been getting cakes here for years so when we started planning our wedding we knew this is where we had to get our Wedding Cake. Kristen, Auz and the whole team were amazing! They provided take home slices for the trial and it was so hard to choose! Every flavor was delicious. Last minute we needed to change our 3 tier cake to cupcakes and they completely accommodated us without any hesitation. The cupcakes were beautiful and they even added a little candy bee last minute for us. We can’t wait to work with them again for our larger reception.

We got a small cake and cupcake tower for our wedding and everything was delicious! They captured our colors perfectly and we were so pleased with how it turned out.

My husband and I had to postpone our wedding twice due to COVID. Dessert Works was extremely accommodating with all the changes we had to make. They also put together a fantastic cutting cake and cupcake display for the mini-ceremony we chose to have this year. Everything was so delicious and we can't wait to have them make our cake again next year!

We ordered our wedding cake/cupcakes from Dessert Works, and everything was absolutely wonderful. We live locally and have enjoyed their desserts before, so we didn't feel it was necessary to have any sort of tasting. Flavor selections were limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we didn't feel like it was a big deal. I was able to place the entire order remotely via email/phone. I sent them a photo of a cake I found online, and they were able to replicate the style exactly. We ordered a small cake to cut at the wedding, a few dozen cupcakes, and rented a cupcake stand. Dessert Works delivered the items and set them up on the day of the wedding. Everything was absolutely gorgeous and most importantly DELICIOUS! We received tons of compliments. I highly recommend them to anyone! There are of course fees and charges for all the various aspects of the order, but the end result is fabulous and totally worth it.

Best cake ever! My guests are still talking about the Italian buttercream frosting. There were a lot of hiccups given my wedding is during this pandemic. I even had to change venues 5 days before my wedding day. She was supportive and open to every change with complete patience. She even halved the delivery fee because my venue switched to a neighboring state last minute. She is amazing at what she does! We wish we could be eating some of our cake right now!
