and we used her officiant services, her photography services, and we also received a bouquet and cake. We booked the Asheville botanical gardens for the elopement ceremony and we met at Katrina about a hour before the ceremony at the venue. Immediately she mispronounced the couples names and continued to do so throughout the entire ceremony. The bride’s name is Andrea and the groom’s name is Dominic. They were Aaaandreya and Dominique during their wedding. Katrina also decided to wear her cameras during the ceremony so they were included in all the ceremony photos. The couple also selected a reading for the ceremony and Katrina barely read off of the script and kept advertising for her business during the ceremony. We learned all about the weddings she has previously done during my best friends wedding. After the ceremony we did wedding photos, the couple was asking for specific shots and poses and Katrina kept reminding them that she was a professional and she knew what looked best, oh her daughter was supposed to be her second shooter and I barely saw her taking any photos. We went to dinner after finishing up photos and upon inspection of the cake it was not at all what the couple asked for. The couple requested a gluten free baked vanilla cake with vanilla icing and strawberry syrup on top. The couple was given a completely iced cake with no strawberry syrup and when we inquired about this Katrina stated it was baked into the cake, ok cool, no biggie. Well, we cut the cake open and alas no syrup, so the wife was afraid that the cake wasn’t even gluten free so she couldn’t eat her wedding cake. Month and a half later we receive wedding photos… these were laughable. Pictures weren’t centered or focused on anything specific. Pictures of people just standing around were included. Filters were placed on the photos that changed the colors away from the wedding colors. Pictures were crooked and blurry. We contacted Katrina to try to resolve the issue but she cited recent rain and uneven ground as the cause for the terrible photos. We requested the raw images to have them re-edited by a professional and instead she sent us re-edited photos that were just as bad. Needless to say we contacted another photographer and had their photos professionally done.

ur elopement dreams come true. Katrina helped us create the most perfect day that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Our whole experience was such a gift and we could not have asked for a better officiant to join our lives together in marriage, especially during the times we are living in today. Our ceremony was so meaningful, spiritual, and most importantly filled with so much love in and around us. Katrina helped us make the day exactly what we wanted and more! We also booked with Ashley Steffens Photography who captured the day perfectly.

emony. Also she called a few days ahead to get to "know us" so it felt a little more personal the day of. Sabrina was our photographer and was not listed as one of the main photographers on the page so we were not totally sure what we were going to get...but HOLY COW our photos are freaking amazing!!! Also Sabrina and her husband were the sweetest/ most down to earth and were willing to come out to our airbnb to capture our first look and dance. If you are thinking of eloping or having a small wedding, we couldn't recommend it or this company/ team enough! It was the perfect day and you can make it exactly how you want, without worrying about other peoples/guests feelings/thoughts. 10/10

Many of her guests commented on how heartfelt her ceremony was and that they weren't bored by it like they find themselves at other weddings. Our photographer even thanked her because she makes sure that she steps to the side before she tells the couple to kiss! That way she isn't in the back of all of your photos! I am so happy that I came across Destination Elopements and decided to book her!

We live 6 hours away from where we go married and she just made it so easy! Day of she kept us on track and just made us feel so special and took all of the worries away which Was amazing cause things get hectic! Cannot recommend enough from start to finish Katrina made it perfect!

e and plan our dream wedding! We had 9 months to plan our destination wedding. We live in Raleigh but wanted to get married somewhere in Asheville, with waterfront/scenic landscape. It was to be an intimate family gathering with our children and aging parents. Some of the spots we liked along the Parkway would have been too difficult for our parents to walk/hike to, or just not feasible given the number of guests. After talking to Katrina multiple times, we decided on Olivette RoseBay Park. It was perfect! One of the many things we love about Katrina is the relationships she has with so many vendors. We didn't want to spend a fortune for our wedding and were looking to cut costs anywhere we could. It was clear in our first conversation that Katrina had our best interests in mind and could match us with the right vendors. She made the wedding planning so incredibly easy - taking all the stress out of the process. One thing at a time, she presented the next vendor decision (9 months out = photographer, 8 months out = flowers, cake; 6 months out = hair, makeup), taking away that overwhelming feeling of "OMG where do I even begin looking?". Her lists of vendors is top notch and we did our homework researching all of them. You can't go wrong with any of the vendors Katrina works with, and because of her quality professional relationships, we saved a ton of money! Her experience in performing weddings in Asheville makes her the go-to officiant in town! There's no task too big or small. In fact, we opted not to rent (10) chairs from the venue to save money, and instead buy them from Amazon. Our only dilemma was how to get them from our house in Raleigh to Asheville. Katrina again saved the day! She offered for us to have them shipped from Amazon to her house - and she delivered them to the ceremony on our wedding day! She also picked up our cake and flowers as well! We communicated with her numerous times throughout our 9 month engagement. She is easy to reach via text, email or phone and responds so quickly. We had so many chats with her that once we finally met her face-to-face on the day of our wedding, we felt like we had known her forever! She has that caring, warm personality backed with the confidence and knowledge of the best of the best. You can’t go wrong! Katrina functioned as our "day of wedding coordinator" and officiant. This was beyond helpful in the days leading up to our July 2 wedding. Weather in the area had been rainy and stormy, and it looked like a high chance of some amount of rain for the ceremony. Katrina had it all under control and was in contact with all of the vendors to make sure everyone knew where to be in the event of Plan A, B or C! Unfortunately the only thing none of us could control was the Phil. Airport where the groom’s parent’s got stuck and at last minute were unable to get to our wedding. Katrina made sure to rearrange the ceremony just a bit to mention them and how much we wished they were there. All wedding things big and small, Katrina can handle it! She’s amazing and our wedding day was absolutely perfect! We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful start to our marriage! Whether you have 1 day, 1 week or 1 year to plan your destination wedding, be sure to use Katrina @ Destination Elopements WNC!

mate, personal, and very touching. Our witnesses said it was one of the cutest weddings they had ever seen! The process was very simple and very easy for us. We changed locations a couple of times, then the ceremony time and Katrina was able to meet all our accommodations. I liked being able to personalize our wedding ceremony in every facet and Katrina allowed us to do that. I would recommend this company, especially if you're looking for elopement options or a micro wedding. However, I think she'd do just as good at a big wedding in front of a crowd of people!

email communication. Before our elopement we met for tea and went over the ceremony and got to know each other better. I would recommend meeting up with Katrina before your elopement if possible; she is a great conversationalist and it talking through it all calmed our nerves. She helped make back up plans incase of bad weather, though we luckily didn't need to use them. Our family was impressed with her professionalism, friendliness, and humor. I would highly recommend Katrina! She helped make our waterfall elopement perfect.

n my end. As we got closer to the wedding, she began coordinating with the vendors and connecting all of the dots. She was very involved the week of and days prior to the wedding. Katrina was also our officiant and day of coordinator. I couldnt imagine our wedding going as smoothly without her. Thank you for all of your help!! I would recommend her highly!

ceremony Matt and I met with Katrina over a cup of coffee and it was quite quaint. The morning of the ceremony, Katrina touched based via phone call and that was very reassuring. When it came down to the ceremony, Katrina made sure to figure everything out considering we didn’t have a rehearsal. There was a mishap with my name but then again growing up everyone got it wrong. All in all, Katrina has a uplifting personality and the words she spoke were very touching!

She is so kind and caring and devotes all of her energy into making sure your day is as perfect as it can be. She walks you through each step and explains whats going to happen so your stress level is non existent (if thats possible :) ) I am so glad I went with her because her personality and services were so refreshing for my husband and I!

w up 20/25mins late but she also called me Becky during our ceremony (my names samantha). My mother, father & MOH calmed me down as I panicked to try and find a wedding ceremony on google from the top of a mountain with little cell service. I would of just laughed both things off, but for the money I spent (all she had to do was the ceremony, nothing with a marriage license) I was pretty disappointed with our services.

However, the day of the wedding (we didn't do a rehearsal, and really regret it) it was clear that she did not know the ceremony at all - she did not know how to lead the pseudo-rehearsal we had 30 minutes beforehand, asking questions and writing things in that were already written into the ceremony elsewhere, was very awkward reading the ceremony itself, and did not know how to roll with when one aspect of a ring warming went longer than planned (and instead asked us to REPEAT OUR VOWS again - so awkward!). Definitely look elsewhere if you want to write your own ceremony, and not use one of the few templates that she must know inside out.

I told her I wanted to involve my daughter and she knew just how to fit her into the ceremony seamlessly. We loved working with Destination Elopements WNC.
