I had never worked with a travel agent before, so she guided me through how it works, what services she could provide and I my reaction was, you are my angel! :) My fiancé and I became engaged in late October 2018 and wanted to marry when would be convenient for our friends and family, that being June 2019. That left about 7 months for us to work through the whole planning process from my initial outreach to her to the wedding date. And let me tell you, I was never stressed! We had decided on a destination wedding a few years before while taking a trip to Cancun. I saw a wedding taking place at the resort we stayed at and my reaction was, that is what I want! When we asked our immediate family if they would be interested, they unanimously said yes, that it sounded like the best idea ever. Check! Most important to me to making it a smooth process was ensuring first that our “must attends” where able to travel and spend the money. From there, working with Roxanne was so pleasant! She helped me (this is only a handful of highlights):  Figure out my preferences for a resort (I already knew I wanted the Cancun, Mexico area) such as accommodations, budget range for our guests, wedding packages, etc. Her proposal of options she sent me was beautiful and so much fun to look through! All her recommendations where spot on and it made it a tough choice! Our decision out of about six resorts was Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa Resort as it allowed children, was in our guests budget range, was located directly across from Isla Mujeres which is my favorite place in Cancun, and was absolutely stunning!  Roxanne then took charge in helping me with content for my wedding website to help explain that she will book all guests. Each person commented to me personally how amazing she was to work with, that her prices were all the best they could find and that she was just a pleasure. Even those who booked, then wanted to change flights or extend their stay, she was happy to help.  Roxanne also ensured I was connected with the right person at the resort, assigned my wedding coordinator for on-site and gave me her opinion on things when I asked for it, which was often! She had knowledge of the process for wedding planning but also the area and resort which was so helpful considering I had never been. When I had delays or questions on the planning process, she had the connections at the resort to get me answers. Whew, this saved me a lot of sweat!  To the most fun part, Roxanne also helped us choose our honeymoon destination and resort. After considering a few locations outside of Mexico, we decided it was too much travel time and money given we were leaving right from DPM. Ultimately we decided between about 5 resorts (again presented beautifully in a digital proposal) on UNICO in Riviera Maya. It! Was! The! BEST! Gorgeous, exquisite food, service and the whole place smelled like a spa. Roxanne knew it was top notch and pointed us in this direction, it did not disappoint. She even secured us an amazing swim out room in the best, most private location in the resort. We spent every morning here, relaxing and enjoying how stunning our surroundings where in privacy.  She even took care of the smallest details – making sure our guests had the right travel information and where prepped to make the journey and enjoy their trip. She offered excursions, recommendations on restaurants and spa services. After, she followed up with us to hear how things went, as well as our guests. The planning process was very difficult when I attempted to do so on my own, before reaching out to Roxanne. Searching resorts, the millions of reviews, trying to find the wedding packages offered and even to get a response from wedding departments was too much to handle. Roxanne swept right in and took charge, had the right contacts and information and was simply the best! I felt like she was my honorary maid of honor with how much work she put in. :) If you are planning a destination wedding, a group outing or looking for someone to make recommendations and take care of your travel arrangements I would absolutely point you to Roxanne at Destination Luxe.
