Detail and design knocked my wedding and the details out of the park!!! I cannot recommend them enough! They made my wedding day not stressful whatsoever and the whole day was like a dream thanks to them!! My guests raved for WEEKS about the decor and venue setup! ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!!! I planned my wedding from out of state and was so nervous during the process of finding vendors! Gene created the most wonderful Christmas wedding with the flowers and decorations and Darcie was everyones eyes, ears, and brain when it came to making sure everything ran seamlessly on our wedding day! Flowers and Decorations My ideas for Gene was that I wanted the chapel for the ceremony to look like a church at Christmas and the ballroom for the reception to look like a New York City Christmas! I LOVED LOVED LOVED his creative process!! Once I sent pictures of things I liked and gave him my ideas, he created a story book proposal with pictures and descriptions for how he envisioned our wedding!! It was wonderful to read through and visualize what I had imagined!!! I was always told it’s best to talk to a florist without giving your budget first, because if they know how much you want to spend, they will find a way to make you spend that much. Gene gives you his vision from your ideas first and then asks how much or how little you want to spend. He can make make your dream flowers and decorations cost as much or as less as your budget allows!! He knows how to scale back or add more to fit your wedding vision and your financial budget!!!! THE ABSOLUTE BEST PART IS THAT YOU GET TO MEET WITH HIM BEFORE YOUR WEDDING AND HE SHOWS YOU A SNEAK PEAK OF WHAT HE HAS PLANNED!!!! In all of the florists I researched and talked to, he is the ONLY one who provides that. He cares so much about his clients and his reasoning for doing this is because he wants his clients to happy with his creations!! I felt like I was in a Hallmark Christmas movie when I got to see my sneak peak and on my wedding day, EVERYTHING was beyond what I could have ever imagined!!! He is so talented at what he does and I am so thankful that he was apart of my wedding day!! Wedding Planner Darcie was my wedding planner and she was the absolute best!! She had everything for our wedding day planned out so perfectly and I trusted her completely!! I DID NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT A THING!!! She took care of everything, from guests who did not RSVP, letting hair and make up know where to be and what time to arrive, trying to help fix my bustle, helping the DJ with lights when my family and I did a Backstreet Boys dance, and making our wedding day so so stress free!! There is SO SO much that she took care of so that me, my husband, and my family did not have to worry or think about. Because of Darcie, we got to really enjoy our wedding day!! Darcie and Gene work perfectly together and the whole Detail and Design staff is amazing!!!

I truly can't say enough amazing things about Detail + Design, Gene and of course, Darcie! They are the team you want from the very beginning, especially when as a bride, I never really thought about my wedding day and my only request was royal blue and open bar (which was delivered) and they ran with it and truly brought to life a vision that left me incredibly happy. Their knowledge of vendors, venues, wedding details, planning, helped make all the decisions needed painless, which is great for someone who plans events as a profession to not have to think too much about it. They were there every step of the way and offered advice on ALL things! Day of, without a doubt, went off without a hitch because of their preparedness, understanding of my expectations (along with my husband, mother, etc.), a timeline that flowed perfectly throughout the day and into the night for our guests and kept vendors moving along, and were just overall enjoyable people to be around and share this special day with. Our venue required touches of elegance - Detail + Design did not disappoint! On the day of the event everything was handled professionally. We were on site getting ready for the wedding in the Wedding Cottage and hardly knew they were busy transforming the venue. Everything was gorgeous!
