She was kind, warm, made me feel comfortable and took a genuine interest in my husband and me. As a bride that wanted to be more involved in the planning and design, she gave me the flexibility to be as much or as little involved in each step of the process, which was super important to me. I left the call feeling 100% confident in moving forward with her, and we decided on the partial planning package for our intimate wedding of under 50 people. We spent a year and a half planning our perfect day with Sahr, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. Sahr completely understood our vision, and we were blown away by our initial design deck and how well she nailed it. She just gets it! She knew the areas to really focus on, very easily understood our taste and preferences, and was transparent and respectful of our budget. She is very good at helping you understand where it is important to spend and where it isn’t. She is passionate about her vision but remains open and adaptable when you have ideas or want to adjust. Her pool of vendors that she has cultivated relationships with over time are incredible at what they do, and clearly respect her vision and the level of service she provides her couples. She even helped us with vendors outside of our package that weren’t design related. When you get close to your wedding day there are SO many small and large decisions that have to be made, and the process can feel daunting. Sahr made this as smooth as it could be. She is extremely organized and the communication back and forth around each step was seamless. Any time I felt stressed, she eased my mind and reassured me that she had us and everything would be figured out. We had some challenging situations arise with two of our vendors and she stepped into to help us navigate and resolve any issues that came up. I truly could not have done this without her. We chose a venue that was not full service, and we had to bring everything in. Sahr managed and coordinated with 8 different vendors flawlessly. She is extremely focused, direct, and an incredibly effective communicator. The day of our wedding we were able to be completely present because she thought of every single detail, and we did not have to worry about anything. We floated from step to step of our wedding and truly had the perfect day with our family and friends. Her team was kind and checked on us constantly to make sure we had everything we needed. We received so many compliments from our family and friends on how beautiful and smooth the day was. I was so sad to leave Sahr at the end of the night knowing our work together was done! We are eternally grateful to her for giving us the wedding of our dreams, and we’ll never forget this experience! If you are getting married in Chicago (or anywhere she travels!) there is truly no other choice.

eamy special day for my husband and I. We got married in downtown Chicago at a Catholic Church with our reception at Chicago Cultural Center on June 24, 2023. When I first found Sahr via a mutual friend, we instantly clicked on our first call; I knew instantly that I wanted her to help bring my wedding vision to life. I quickly learned that she has exquisite taste that feels fresh, fun, unique and innovative. With her design support, she was able to help me hone in on my vision and elevate it even further. Sahr and her team were there for me through every stressful situation and obstacle that came our way while planning and on our wedding day (including one of her employees running to grab safety pins when I had a dress emergency!). I live in California and our wedding was in Chicago, but Sahr made me feel at ease throughout the entire process. Sahr has incredible contacts in the industry and has great relationships with all of her vendors, some of which I was lucky to work with. My only regret is not hiring Sahr sooner, before hiring any vendors on my own. After going through this process, I believe hiring a wedding coordinator or planner with partial or full planning service is critical if you want a seamless wedding day. The day flies by and hiring an A-team like Details Chicago will allow you to truly live in the moment and soak it all in. They have absolutely everything covered behind the scenes! I will forever be grateful to Sahr and her team for making my special day even more magical than I could've ever dreamed of. I'm excited to work with her again in the future! <3
