as i hadnt heard anything from them. There was an upcharge for a second sound system because our ceremony was outside and I was told the two systems would allow for seamless flow of music from ceremony into reception without having to tear down, move, and reset one system. I was assured both systems would be ready to go at least 15 minutes before our ceremony started and everything would flow seamlessly. We booked DJ and photobooth for 6 hours. That plus the extra sound system came out to just over $2200. The day before our wedding I got a call that the photobooth package we booked "might be unavailable" (?) So they wanted to know if we were OK with a free upgrade to a 360 video booth instead. I was assured there'd be someone there to operate it as we're not the most tech-savy bunch, and confirmed the song we wanted the videos set to via text with their event coordinator the night before. The day of our wedding the DJ was the last person to arrive, less than 15 minutes before our ceremony was scheduled to begin. He quickly got set up for the ceremony, props to him for that, but was clearly frazzled and missed a few song transitions during the ceremony. I'm not sure how long it took him to get set up inside after the ceremony as we were doing family photos outside, but when we came inside the 360 photo booth was not assembled yet. When that went up it became evident that the poor DJ was on his own, and he struggled to bounce back and forth between the music and helping guests operate the rotating photo camera. One of the groomsmen had to nudge him into the speeches to keep everything moving. He was clearly flustered for most of the night and had some rough song transitions because of it. It wasn't until about an hour before the end of the reception that someone else showed up, and that person did very little except stand next to him chatting. The night came to an end and it was nearly a month later when I finally reached out to them inquiring about the videos from the booth. I was then sent 38 video file, all set to the wrong song, which apparently can't be fixed after the fact. I inquired about additional files ( we had over 100 guests and the machine was in use all night) and was told that's all that had come through. Operator error, probably, but also exactly what I feared would happen and why I wanted someone there to assist with the booth. All in all I think our event was either forgotten about until the last minute, or overbooked by a higher profile event. It felt like we got the short end of the stick and nothing was done to make up for that. I would not recommend.

everything was such a smooth process. Their website makes it so easy to relay all the information the DJ needs for the wedding to ensure everything runs exactly how you would like it to. They have a planning form for your wedding as well as a timeline in which you can make changes to as you progress with the wedding process. Now to the day of the wedding. Chuck was prompt and on time. He had everything set up and ready to go as well as was willing to work on an alternative plan in case the weather did not cooperative for our outdoor ceremony. He made sure to check in multiple times throughout the night with the bride and groom to make sure he was doing everything he needed to and was on the same page with us which was very nice. Chuck was a phenomenal DJ. He interacted with the crowd, did a few ice breakers, and really made everyone feel very comfortable throughout the wedding. Our wedding venue was a little different being that we had and indoor venue that opened up via garage doors to a large outdoor patio. Later in the evening the doors were open and most of the guests were outside. Chuck did an amazing job playing music that everyone outside would enjoy. Later on in the night as everyone came back inside he transitioned to more upbeat dance music, which is was we wanted and everyone had a blast. I received so many compliments on chuck throughout the night for the music he played and just his overall character. If you are looking for a DJ that isn’t just a “sit behind the booth and play music” kind of DJ then I definitely recommend chuck and Detroit DJ Entertainment. He will have your guests feeling involved all while making sure the wedding is going exactly how you want it to. Thank you again Chuck. ed. Unfortunately, the major problems we had came on our wedding day. So for starters, we never spoke with our actual DJ and only spoke with Chuck during the planning process. From our initial conversations, I knew there was a possibility that he wouldn't be our DJ but was never told otherwise so we assumed it would be him. Just something to keep in mind that you'll never talk to your actual DJ until the day of. We had chose special music for our wedding party and me (the bride) ceremony entrance. I don't know the specifics of what happened but from what my coordinators told me, the DJ's laptop overheated or something and there was an issue loading the music. As a result, my wedding party walked to a completely different song and our ceremony was delayed starting by at least 15 minutes while they waited for him to get the music going. This obviously delayed the rest of the events for the entire evening. Then when it came time for my entrance, I was told that he was downloading my song at the moment I was supposed to be walking! I sat there waiting and waiting for the music to start and it never did. It was embarrassing and I was MORTIFIED. I ended up standing there in front of everyone waiting for the music to start and just started walking with no music at first. When it came time for the reception, I had a lot of guests complain to me after the fact that there were only 2 speakers or something and 1 of them was placed right next to their table which was by the DJ booth. I did notice from the head table that it was really hard to hear anyone with a microphone. I don't think the speakers were placed throughout the room for even sound but I'm not sure. I had stressed from the beginning that I wanted a DJ that could read the crowd and vibe. There were a lot of times only a few people were on the dance floor which was pretty upsetting. It's not the DJ's fault if no one wants to dance, but I had heard that there were a lot of people disappointed that there weren't any slow songs played. A lot of guests also told me afterwards that they had requested songs which were played hours later or not played at all. That's not a big deal but if there's only a few people on the dance floor and someone requests a song, you'd think it would get played immediately. It was disappointing how many people weren't dancing and just sitting at their tables. And then I'd find out that they just weren't vibing with the music. Overall, I was just disappointed. Booking a good DJ was one of my top priorities and it seemed like we had a good one based on the amazing reviews.

ith not a very large overlap of similar taste in music. When our wedding day came, our DJ and MC read the crowd expertly. Every song was a hit and almost everyone was dancing. There were some family members I never even expected dancing! The transitions were great and even when some funny dancing accidents occurred that they used to make the crowd laugh and engaged. They were an awesome team that made our day unforgettable. All of our guests mentioned how much fun they had dancing. I highly recommend!

we gotta say he did an absolute amazing job! From the very beginning of booking them, Chuck was such a pleasure to work with. Because of COVID, we had to scrap our original wedding plan. Not only was he so flexible with moving dates and venues, he even went through the trouble to travel to be there for our day. Bringing us to the day of the wedding. He supported music for our ceremony. He did such an amazing job cuing the music at the perfect moments. He even included filler music during parts that I didn't even know needed filling. I married into an Albanian family, so during the reception, we wanted a fair amount of Albanian music played and he did such an amazing job working with us on exactly what we wanted. Even playing other music, he does such an awesome job watching the dance floor, seeing what sparks peoples interest and keeps them on the dance floor. We had also gotten a photo booth and our guests had so much fun with it! We had the pleasure of having Chucks fiance, Nikol there to help with the photo booth. She also was so wonderful to work with and have at our wedding! From start to finish, we had an absolute blast! Our guests can't stop talking about the amazing time they all had!
