She was always so responsive over the many months of planning, and any question we had, she was able to offer options for. She gave us sound advice about numbers to keep wasted food and money down. And our tasting experience, which my parents joined us at, was SO much fun. Our guests are still talking about our food, that it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding.The fried chicken with hot honey is a MUST. We are so incredibly glad that we hired Devil's Food for our wedding, and I could not recommend them enough for any of your catering needs!

Everyone who worked the event was so kind - several of our servers went out of their way to say congratulations to us. We had an insane amount of dietary restrictions and allergies, and they nailed every one of them and handled them all with grace. Most importantly, the food and cocktails were amazing, and people have been complimenting us since on how good our food was. Their menu options were extensive, and they were incredibly flexible and wanted to make our food and drink vision come to life. I would recommend Devil's Food without hesitation to anyone looking for the most delicious and stress-free catering experience!

aken care of. Dan dropped off a tasting menu at our house so we could sample before going with them, and then talked with us multiple times about making our vision come true. We had some odd requests (squeezy bottle cocktails as an homage to the bar where we first met), and Devil's made everything happen seamlessly. I cannot express enough how beyond delicious their food is! Our guests could not stop talking about not only how incredible the food was, but also about the impeccable service. Every team member was so professional, personable, and one of the bartenders even remembered all the guests' names! By far, they were the best wedding catering I've ever experienced and multiple guests said the same. Pro tip: put the fried chicken on your menu--you won't regret it!!

beyond special- it was personalized with a custom menu, complimented by delicious wines, and in the most adorable and chic space. We were hooked the minute we got there, and the food exceeded all expectations with unique flavors and amazing sauces. By the time our big day came Devils Food made our wedding complete perfection. With a narrow window to flip our space we returned post vows to the wedding reception of our dreams. Elegant table settings, delicious aroma of food, and the most professional team of servers we have ever seen. In our families- the dinner table brings us together and we wanted that family style feeling at our wedding. Devils Food could not have done a better job of bringing that to life. ly-style wedding dinner was D E L I C I O U S. Fried chicken with hot honey—I'm still thinking about it. Moroccan-spiced lamb—it was fall-apart tender and perfectly seasoned. Polenta spoonbread—my daughter ate 6 pieces. Massaged kale salad with pomegranate—I don't usually fantasize about salads but I'm making an exception. They did such an incredible job I was literally worried I might get a cramp on the dance floor after dinner from eating so much. Hire Devil's Food Catering. For everything. Weddings, baby showers, bar mitzvahs. 15/10.

s SO professional and on point, and it really illustrates their best-in-class service. All of the food was delicious, and many of our guests commented on how good it was (rare for wedding food, in my opinion). They also had so many interesting and unique options, and they were able to seamlessly pull off "family-style" dining, which is not an easy feat. Dan was so responsive and easy to work with, and he went out of his way to accommodate any requests we had and even stayed late on the day of the wedding to be there for our arrival!

so there on the day of the wedding and it was very comforting knowing he was in charge. Not to mention the food was phenomenal (pics attached). There was a good selection of different appetizers we could go with that were seasonally relevant and guest were able to choose between salmon, steak, and vegetarian for dinner. Hands down would recommend for any event, and especially a wedding!

For the planning, knowledge, professionalism and responsiveness in the months leading up to the wedding, I give them 5 stars. The reason I docked one star was because of the staff at the actual event. The staff seemed unpracticed and inexperienced, 2 entire trays of wine glasses were dropped (at our cost) and EVERY TIME someone put down their drink it was cleared away, which meant each guest had to leave the dance floor and go to the bar another time and get a whole new drink (at our cost). This alone probably increased our bar bill by at least 20%. I would recommend Dan and Devil's Food to someone getting married in the Portland area, but would urge anyone using them for bar service to speak directly with the staff about the aforementioned issues before the event.

y were bustling around. They also did a great job of checking in with us to see when and how we wanted things done. They allowed friends and family to bring pies for dessert and even provided ice cream! I would highly recommend them!

ood. The owner and event leader that we worked with have great vision for how things should be, but don't seem to have the staff to execute. They rented the wrong set up for the beer, so the reception started without beer, the servers were not knowledgeable about the food or drinks they were serving, and several items went missing in areas that made it clear the went home with wait staff. On top of everything, when they sent the invoice, they tried to charge us for 19 more people than we'd rsvp'd for (we did not have more guests attend than we'd planned). They corrected that per our request, but then wanted us to pay for vendor meals twice (we'd rsvp'd for them and then they charged for them again separately). They did not remedy this as they should have. And finally - and perhaps most frustrating, they charged us 68% more for service than they had quoted. I don't expect estimates to be perfect, but this was absurd. I hope that they are working on improving these thing. We really liked them when we first met and they serve great food, but some of the details they messed up ended up being a major, and expensive, disappointment.
