Thank you so much to Devotion Studio for making both the trial and wedding day so easy and stress-free! Kirsten (hair) and Sandy (makeup) were absolutely incredible. I don’t wear much makeup normally and really wanted to look like myself — and Sandy nailed the perfect, subtle, natural look that lasted all night. Kirsten gave me the most beautiful Hollywood waves that held up perfectly through dancing and happy tears! I got so many compliments, and my bridesmaids all loved their looks too. You truly helped make the day feel effortless and unforgettable!

Devotion studio made our day so perfect! All our stylists did a wonderful job and listened to mine and my bridesmaids wants and executed perfectly. We had Camille, Adeline and Taylor and the three of them had such a fun vibe but were so chill which was exactly what we needed. It was a perfect morning and day, thanks to them!!

They were so wonderful! The artists were very friendly, open to feedback, and made myself and my bridal party feel very comfortable. Of course, they did a wonderful job on everyone and my hair and makeup lasted all day! During my trial, my hair actually lasted through a flight and through the next day. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. 

Kirsten was super professional, great at communication, and highly skilled at hair! I have hair that's difficult to hold a curl and she was able to get it to tor the whole day! Kirsten also did hair for my mom and my mother in law, both of which turned out beautiful and they were thrilled with the results. I would highly recommend Kirsten for any wedding!

Devotion Studio did an amazing job with my bridal hair and makeup and my bridesmaids’ makeup! Their communication throughout the process (initial inquiry, booking, HMU preview, adding services close to the wedding, and of course the wedding day!) was exceptional. They were quick to respond, clear, and accommodating. After my HMU preview, they were very open and encouraging of feedback on the look. When I asked for some modifications, they happily made the changes and brought my wedding look into reality! Their general style also aligned perfectly with our wedding aesthetic: natural with a touch of elegance. It was such a pleasure working with them, I highly recommend!

Devotion Studios was super easy and great to work with for my wedding! We hired four people from their team (two makeup artists, two hair stylists) to do our hair and makeup for wedding day (20 services in total). All stylists arrived and finished on time, were skilled in their craft, and were receptive to feedback, which produced results that everyone loved and felt beautiful on the special day.

I reserved Devotion Studio for myself and my maid of honor on my wedding day. Additionally, my mother-in-law and her mother received hair and makeup services and looked absolutely stunning. My makeup was done by Jen, and my hair by Sara. They both are highly skilled professionals, super friendly, sweet and their attention to detail was excellent. As someone who is quite shy and indecisive when it comes to personal decisions, they both made me feel very comfortable and ensured that everything went smoothly. They listened carefully to my vision and took the time to confirm that I was satisfied with the results. Communication with Kirsten, the owner, from the trial through to the wedding day was excellent. Throughout the months and weeks leading up to the event, I reached out with numerous questions, and Kirsten was consistently prompt and helpful in her responses. I am very grateful to everyone at Devotion Studio for being part of my special day. Thank you all for your time, attention, and care. I am so happy I had Devotion Studio for hair and make up on my wedding day. Kirsten and Nicole were both so professional, kind, and talented. They helped me figure out what I wanted at my hair and make up preview and were so great with small changes I wanted for my wedding day. My wedding was on 4.27.25. My hair stylist was Adaline (did the hair and “make-up” for the trial and hair for the big day) and the make up stylist for the big day was Taylor. I want to preface this review that I have received refunds for SOME but not ALL issues I had with Devotion Studios. I will explain all in the review below. If you are a destination bride/groom, I suggest you READ this whole thing. Let's start with the pricing. The pricing overall seems fair for the Napa area. Tips are paid for upfront with the bill, claiming that this is so the bride, groom and their guests won’t need to worry about money on the big day or after. Wish there was more of a retainer option, but whatever, not much I can do there. Now for the trial stage. I did need to reschedule a few times due to being sick (1st time) then I had an unexpected event that made me need to rebook (2nd time). Kristen, business owner, was very flexible and rebooked for me no problem. I was able to meet up the 3rd time and make the 2 hour drive one way to their studio (Cupertino to Sebastopol). I was told via email and contract that this would be a 3 hour trial for hair and make up together. I paid for both beforehand with tips (was required). It took 4 hours to just do my hair, and after another 45 mins I got to see my only eye makeup. I felt pressured to end before seeing all my face because my now husband came to pick me up at the 3 hour mark AND the stylist had a wedding she needed to get to after my trial. I never received any kind of refund (full or partial) for not seeing my whole face for my make up trial. When I brought up this concern, instead I was at first told I could drive up again and pay for another trial at 50%. After some back and forth and me asking for pictures of the eye make-up (that was not given) I was offered to do the trial a few days before the wedding. Money was not mentioned so it was unclear if I needed to pay more. At this point I should have backed out, but I did not because my hair after the trial was great especially with the extensions, this detail is important later. Also, I didn’t want to argue more about money. On the big day, both stylists arrived at their agreed upon time. Everything was going smoothly despite the drama from the trial until it came to me (the bride) getting ready to do my hair. The stylist forgot my hair extensions! Fortunately, my maid of honor brought her own. It wasn't enough for my thin hair and it was a few shades different but it was the only option I had. I won't get into how upsetting this was for me given how much time, effort, money, and energy I've put into planning our wedding and how I would look. But you can put together by the rating and length of this review, I was enraged. My make-up was light and great, Taylor was able to make me feel better and make me look beautiful. Was I refunded for the extensions (I had to prepay for) and my hair for the big day without asking? Yes. Did I have to specifically ask that my MOH’s hair get refunded? Yes, and it was refunded. Despite all of this, all my guests said my hair looked great, but the shade difference in the extensions was NOT what I wanted and not what I saw in the trial. How I decided a 3 star rating was fair. It would have been a 5 star review if my extensions made it to the big day and I was given a partial refund (never got it) for the make-up trial fail without needing to go back and forth via email. My makeup on the big day was great! If I could rate only that part of the experience I would give a full 5 stars. I would have made this a 4 star review if I was given a partial refund for the make up trial fail. I felt that a 2 star review would have been too harsh since I was given an email apology and refund of my hair and my extensions without needing to reach out on our mini honeymoon. Kirsten and the team were absolutely amazing for our wedding earlier this month. The makeup and hair were absolutely flawless for our entire group. Devotion Studio did an excellent job and would highly recommend them!

Devotion studio was great! They were such sweet women and took such good care of the wedding party. We all felt so beautiful. As someone who doesn't normally wear make up I thought my make up was perfect! It was subtle but gave me that glamorous effortless look and lasted all night! And my hair was great, we made some adjustments after the trial and the wedding day look was better than I imagined! They did a wonderful job and I would highly recommend!

I absolutely love my hair! I can’t stop running my fingers through it! I was nervous to cut and color my hair because it had been a while. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted or what would look good on me…Kirstin walked me through her thoughts and opinions in a professional yet compassionate way. Devotion Studio nailed the prompt! Kirsten was easy to work with to get everything setup, and our four stylists (Nicole P, Nicole F, Sara & Natale) dolled everyone up in all the right ways! Hair and makeup lasted well over 12 hours and didn't feel caked on or over the top. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The team at Devotion Studio did an amazing job on hair and makeup for our wedding! Tamra did hair and Natale did makeup for me, my sisters, niece, mom, and mother-in-law for our micro-wedding on the Sonoma Coast. Tamra listened carefully to what each of us wanted for our hair and completely delivered. After my preview makeup appointment I decided I wanted a more “natural” look and Natale did an incredible job making my vision a reality. In addition, both Tamara and Natale were such a pleasure to chat with on the wedding morning – they brought a fun, relaxed energy that perfectly suited our small family wedding. I would absolutely hire Devotion Studio again – they were a dream to work with!

Working with Kirsten at Devotion was great! They are organized and timely with their responses. They were flexible with a lot minute location change and their stylists made us all look amazing on my wedding day. Everyone's hair and make up lasted beautify despite it being a windy day. Devotion studio styled my bridesmaid’s hair and makeup for my wedding and they did an amazing job. Chyrel and Heather are incredible artists and stylists and a joy to work with. They were very professional and did a great job with the range of hair types and skin tones in my bridal party. They were also incredible and patient with managing my party starting late due to a member of the party breaking her leg the night before. They helped us keep a positive attitude and still finished in time. I also want to add that while I didn’t work with Kirsten directly, she was super organized and one of the easiest and most joyful vendors to coordinate with leading up to the wedding. Kirsten and Adeline from Devotion Studio were an absolute pleasure to work with! They did my hair and makeup for my wedding day, along with my mom and sister. We were all really happy with the result and their professional work! Our makeup lasted all night! Adeline did an amazing job creating a colorful and fun look for my sister that wasn't even planned, and she knocked it out of the park. Kirsten worked with me on my hair, giving me two looks: an updo for the ceremony and hair down for the reception. She was especially awesome in helping me with my unique veil request - my veil was especially heavy and long, and Kirsten handled it like a pro, even using a zip tie to secure it! They were both kind, skilled, and I would highly recommend them!

I LOVED working with Kirsten and her team! When I first reached out, she was super responsive and friendly. Her communication throughout the process was excellent! Kirsten and her team were absolutely on my wedding day. I had a large bridal party (9 bridesmaids and MOB/MOG) and she came up with a schedule to fit exactly what we needed. Shalice is INCREDIBLY talented at make-up, especially if you want an elevated, more natural look. Everyone loved their hairstyles and were able to get something personalized that made them feel beautiful that day. The styles also lasted throughout the entire day, very impressive considering the levels of dancing. Highly recommend this team, nothing but a positive experience.
