DJ Rod was fantastic to work with for our wedding reception! During our initial planning consultation call, he gave us all the information we needed and worked with us to get more services still within our budget. He worked with our venue coordinator to make sure everything would run smoothly, he brought his own sound equipment and made the uplighting in the room look gorgeous, and he helped make our party a BLAST! We have gotten so many compliments on how fun the dancing was at our wedding, and we attribute that to DJ Rod's ability to keep a party going. If any friend of ours needed a DJ in the DFW area, we would highly recommend DJ Rod!

Ok...Rod is the absolute best DJ ever. We had originally hired a DJ who was not willing to work with our vision and when we changed DJ paths to Rod, he was so willing to take care of us and make sure our vision was met. He was so responsive, so helpful and so kind - I say this getting married during COVID-19 times. HIRE HIM...you will not regret it.

If you want the best you have to get Rod! He is so easy to work with and will make everything on your big day go great! He mapped out the whole evening perfectly. I could not have asked for a better music selection. My husband and I had a meeting with him about what sort of music we liked and he created a great mix! They also provided our uplighting and photo booth. The photo booth included a gif and boomerang option and it was so great to see what everyone did the next day. You will not regret hiring them!

Rod is amazing!!! He kept everyone on the dance floor and took care of all of our needs. He even put together a mashup of songs for my Mom and I to dance to. He responds quick and is such a joy to work with. I highly recommend him for your event needs!

We had DJ Rod take care of our wedding ceremony and reception music, as well as our reception uplighting in the venue, plus a light up monogram- and it was AMAZING! His process for filling out the style of music we wanted was easy to use, and he totally got our vision and musical style for our wedding. The dance floor was literally PACKED the entire reception- there were no lulls in the dancing which was awesome and exactly what we wanted. It was truly a PARTY. He took care of us from beginning to end, and we couldn’t imagine our wedding day without him!

Rod is truly the best in the business! From the very first meeting, he had already mapped out the flow of our reception and had us planning our toasts and music list. I recently went to a Sunday afternoon wedding where the reception died out pretty early, so I was very anxious that my own Sunday evening reception would flop. Rod was very understanding of my concerns and assured me that he would handle it. Well, he handled it beautifully! We had people out on the dance floor all night, from the littlest kiddos to the grandparents! Everyone had a great time! He was great at managing the vibe of the party, even taking last minute requests from family and friends. I wish we could do the reception all over again!!

We can't begin to say how thankful we are that we found Rod to DJ our wedding this past weekend and entertain our friends and family. He was immediately personable and easy to work with upon first meeting, and he did not disappoint the day/night of! Rod not only worked with our planner to make sure our ceremony flowed perfectly, but he was also perfect as far as smaller details such as lighting, cocktail hour music and helping to prep our toast givers. DJ Rod Baker III was FABULOUS!!! He ran all the music for our ceremony (flawless) and then hopped over to the reception where he made sure the schedule of events flowed seamlessly and those with dancing feet kept dancing. It was a Sunday brunch wedding, so I was worried we'd lose the fun party feel that comes easier on a Saturday night, but Rod did a great job and the Bride and Groom got the party they wanted. He was on time and professional and worked well with our coordinator and other vendors. He communicated with me prior to the event so that we were all on the same page come wedding day. 5 stars!!!

Our experience was fantastic! Rod is the perfect person to have on your side during your big day. We had a themed wedding mixed with traditional touches and he was really enthusiastic about the venue, the small details, and helped us incorporate it into the music and announcements. Having someone just as enthusiastic about making this day special as you are is a huge relief. The best part is where I needed help/guidance, he gave it. Where I had something I wanted to incorporate, he did it. He is really good at making it YOUR day with YOUR vision, but making sure it's successful with his knowledge and his experience. Our wedding was an older crowd, so I was worried about the participation on the dance floor and the energy not being there, but Rod did an amazing job keeping the energy level high, keeping people engaged through out, and communicated very well with my other vendors to keep everything moving smoothly. I received tons of compliments from our guests on the music selections and volume level. I'm not sure how our day would've turned out if it wasn't for his expertise and knowledgeable suggestions. As the bride, I had never planned a wedding before, and I didn't have a wedding planner, so I had no idea what I was doing and Rod helped so much with planning the timeline for the night. On top of this, I had unique selections for our first dance and my walk down the aisle, but he made it work. You should definitely book with DJ Rod Baker.

Rod Baker was our DJ for our wedding on 06/30/18 and he did a phenomenal job! Music isn't my strong suit, but I gave him a list of the type of style music we like with a handful of examples and he took it from there! We were worried about not being able to keep the dance floor going, but it never stopped! The flow of the ceremony and reception was so seamless and the equipment sounded great. His presentation was loved by all guests- young, old, wild, reserved, etc. Couldn't have asked for more- highly recommend!

Rod Baker is a fantastic DJ. He really is fun to work with and listens to how you want the event to flow. He has done this a long time and knows how to read a party and adjust the music as needed. I have used him for both of my daughter’s weddings. My older daughter was married in January 2018. She and her husband had specific songs for a few things but in general just left it up Rod. He had the dance floor hopping and everyone, from 16 to 90 years old was having a really fun time. My younger daughter was married in May 2018. She and her husband had Rod do the ceremony music as well as the reception. They had specific songs for everything, from Prelude to final dance. For the reception they had a lot of songs they didn’t want played and a few that they definitely wanted played. Rod worked around their rejects and used their definites to create a fantastic party. They wanted a full on party and he gave them that. The planners kept saying the dance floor was way too big, but Rod kept everyone dancing all night long. He has done this a long time and knows how to read a party and adjust the music as needed. He doesn’t try to be a part of the party, but just does his job and emcees as needed. You cannot go wrong booking Rod for your event. He is great. He really is fun to work with and listens to how you want the event to flow.

DFW Parties / DJ Rod Baker was a hit at our wedding!!! We have nothing but great things to say about Rod. He really makes it a point to connect on a personal level with all his couples. My husband and I really wanted to meet face to face with all our vendors. Rod was no exception. In fact, he suggested that right off the bat! Rod Baker is worth every single penny and more! Rod is incredibly professional, fun, laid back, organized, and on top of his DJ game. Rod did not miss anything during the ceremony or reception. Even the minister who married my husband and I talked about how wonderful the DJ was how great everything sounded. Rod was absolutely AMAZING! We attended a wedding where Rod was the DJ, so when it came time to find the DJ for our wedding, I knew exactly who I wanted to call. From the first moment I talked to him, he was so upbeat and had a fun personality, and I knew he was the man we wanted to help make our wedding a night to remember. The entire planning process with Rod was super easy. We were able to go online and make a list of all the songs we wanted played. We made special requests for our First Dance songs and Rod was able to play everything we asked for. He even helped us put together a "run of show" and wedding day timeline. We are SO happy that we chose Rod as a DJ for our special day. It would not have been the same without him and he added so many touches throughout the night that kept things fun and special. We wanted our guests to have fun and dance, and Rod kept the dance floor packed the entire night. He is easy to talk to, responds very quickly, reads the crowd in order to keep the flow going, and knows all the little details that need to be taken care of throughout the entire night. Rod was incredible from start to finish! My wedding planner set-up a meeting so I could see Rod's personality. As soon as I walked I out, I knew I wanted to hire him! It was one of the best decisions of the entire wedding planning process. He really cared about my vision for what I wanted for the wedding. My fiance couldn't make the meeting but Rod called to talk to him to make sure he had a good feel as who we were as a couple. Rod wanted to make sure he incorporated both of our personalities into everything. Anytime we had a question, he was quick to respond. Anytime we wanted to do a quick meeting or walk-through of the venue, he would work with us to make sure he could be there. He helped us find great versions of several songs we wanted to dance to. Come the wedding reception, everything was amazing! We gave him a few songs that we wanted played and then he created the rest of the playlist. My husband and I had many, many people come up to us ask who made the playlist because they loved it. All we could say was that it was Rod because he is the one that did it. He has an incredible knack for reading the room and knowing what to play next. Without him our wedding would not have been a success. Rod was a huge part of everything and we cannot thank him enough. He went above and beyond our expectations!!

Rod Baker was the only choice to DJ our wedding reception! We finalized our wedding venue and date after making sure that he was available. He was the first vendor we booked, and the best choice we made. If you are looking to have a great party and don’t want to stick to a rigid timeline during your wedding reception then Rod is your guy. We knew from the moment we met him that we had to have him DJ our reception, and by the time the day came, he felt like a friend. He has a talent for taking the temperature of the guests to determine when energy needs to be injected back into the party. He is able to adapt and customize the reception to accommodate what your vision is and that is money well spent. He is also great at troubleshooting, when something doesn’t go as expected Rod is always prepared. We had a video playing on a projector and had a problem getting the sound to play with the video, and in a matter of minutes, Rod had identified the problem and fixed it. My wife has very eclectic taste in music, and he mixed great playlists for dinner and the reception. He found obscure tracks, was ultra-responsive to her questions, and made great suggestions. He coordinated a big surprise moment for our guests and executed it flawlessly. He also did the sound for our ceremony, and everything was perfect. Rod did the up-lighting in the ballroom, and we got so many compliments on how warm and beautiful the room looked. I would recommend using Rod to anyone looking to elevate their event; he is the best there is!

Rod was SPECTACULAR!!! From the moment I first emailed him, I had a feeling he was the guy. I was so nervous about picking a DJ because I know they are the ones that drive the party! Rod and I met at a coffee shop for our first meeting and he was just as amazing in person. He is genuinely happy, upbeat, excited, right to the point...just what I needed. Rod made sure to find out exactly what I wanted and how I envisioned my wedding reception; he then went right into structuring the night for me--at our first meeting!! From then on, he was super easy to contact. He was the most amazing DJ I could have ever asked for--he made my wedding night SO much fun!!! He was great at giving advice to my toast givers, telling us all what to do, coordinating with my coordinator, and then making the night the most fun I could have ever imagined. Rod was great about making suggestions and helping me with decisions on how I wanted the night to run. He did great with my 200 guests and the normal lulls that happen at every wedding reception--he kept the party going, which is exactly what I wanted! He even tolerated my ornery grampa giving him a hard time! One of the best things about this guy is he always has a big ol' smile on his face. I could go on and on about this guy but I'll end with this--Rod is your guy!!!!!! From music, to lighting, to a monogram projected onto a wall...he's got everything. I wish I could get married again, just so I could have him DJ again!

Rod was the DJ and master of ceremonies at my wedding that took place in October. Being a wedding DJ MYSELF, I knew to had the best of the best for my own wedding and that was Rod Baker. Rod was amazing! I had originally had my heart set on hiring a band but could not find a band that was available that I felt comfortable trusting to make our reception great. I got so many compliments from guests at our wedding about how great the music and dancing was, and how awesome our DJ was! We even had some of our best friends request the music list because it was so great. Rod did and awesome job and was wonderful to work with. I would hire him over and over again!

Rod was, hands down, one of the best parts of our wedding. We knew he was a pro after our first meeting with him and seeing how easy he made the process with online playlists (complete with Do NOT play lists!), but I was still blown away with how stinkin' smoothly he managed to make the whole evening flow! The music was perfectly timed and cued for our ceremony, and the reception... Oh the reception. He took inspiration from the types of songs we added to our dinner list and added some of his own favorites, introducing us to a whole new set of music... Plus, I don't think a single song played after dinner that didn't have at least 20 people jamming on the dance floor. The whole night was magical, especially with Rod's idea for a sweetheart dance with just husband and me at the end of the night. He has ideas to make your party as creative, personal, and fun as you want it to be... I can't recommend him enough!!!

Rod Baker is the best DJ ever! As a wedding photographer my self, I've seen hundreds of DJ's and Rod - without a doubt - is the best. He knows the in's and out's of his profession. Where to place speakers for the best sound, where to place his uplighting for the best effect (you can even pick your exact shade of colors). My favorite thing that Rod did was during our pre-wedding meeting at the venue, he mentioned I should record a spacial note to my dad so he can play it during our father/daughter dance. We had the whole room in tears! Seriously if you are looking for a DJ, Rod is the guy.

I LOVE ROD!!! He totally gets how the evening should move. He was a perfect MC and had complete control of the room. He takes wonderful care of his bride and groom! He offered to bring in lights when my lighting company was acting really sketchy about whether they were going to show up or not. If anyone knows/meets Rod, they will all tell you only great and positive things. The first moment my fiancée and I met him, we knew we wanted him to be out DJ for our wedding back in 2013. Not a single regret! He kept the reception alive and well entertained. I look back at our pictures and always smile from seeing how much fun we had and Rod had a lot to do with that. Amazing!! Rod was a delight to work with for our NYE'13 wedding (I'm very overdue with these reviews, I know!). His tools for song selection, or songs to avoid, were helpful and easy to use. I had questions about some songs, and he was always very quick to respond to any question or concern that I had. He also had great insight in creating a nice 'flow' of the event, and it was incredibly helpful. He was on cue with every song for each event (garter toss, dances, etc), and always had a smile on his face. He graciously took requests from guests, even if it was for a cheesy line dance (he and I both agreed we weren't into that, but it got the crowd going, so you can't win them all)! I have no complaints with Rod and the services he provided. I had one DJ subtly complain about working a NYE wedding while I was interviewing him, whereas Rod smiled and was eager to work with us. I continue to recommend him for all of my friends that are/will be getting married. He's top notch!!
