Though it is very rare I get it done, I find having my makeup done to be incredibly relaxing and as a socially-anxious bride, I knew that the time getting my hair and makeup done o...
n my wedding day would be one of my few times of calm, so it was important that I had a makeup artist that helped with that. I also knew I wanted more of a natural-looking makeup look – still look like myself, just enhanced a little to match the importance of the day. I followed a couple different makeup artists on Instagram to try and narrow down to the look and vibe that I was looking for and Dhalia and her team immediately stood out. I scheduled a trial for myself and my mom for one of the weekends we were going to be down in Virginia Beach (we live in northern Virginia) just to make sure her Instagram matched reality before booking. My mom and I both loved the trial – Dhalia was incredibly sweet, caring, and of course, talented. We booked her for my wedding date on the spot. I gave my bridesmaids the option of getting their hair and/or makeup done. After seeing pictures from my trial with Dhalia, all four decided they wanted their makeup done as well. My mom and I also decided to have Dhalia do our makeup for the day before as we had a bridal luncheon, the rehearsal, and a welcome party. My mom and I were able to have a relaxing (early!) morning with Dhalia and our makeup lasted throughout the close to 16-hour day of festivities. The next day (wedding day), Dhalia and her team arrived early with plenty of time to set up their stations and actually completed all six (my mom, four bridesmaids, and myself) of our makeup earlier than scheduled which allowed some time for us to relax before the pictures started. Everyone loved their makeup, received countless complements on it, and it lasted all day. Working with Dhalia was such a great and pleasant experience from first communication to wedding day and I hope I have many more events in the future I can use her for when I (hopefully!) move to Virginia Beach!

t lip products she used when I emailed her afterwards so that I could buy the full-sized products. I was a bit nervous that Dhalia wouldn't be able to finish everyone in time, but my fears were not realized and she was done faster than the hair team (who had two workers!). I appreciated that Dhalia checked in with each girl, really making sure they liked their look and doing touch-ups as necessary. Everyone looked great individually and together as a group. Overall we had a great experience with Dahlia and I highly recommend her!

to what I wanted and wanted to make sure I was happy with the results by tweaking things here and there at the end to come up with the final product. My makeup was flawless at the wedding. We had 20 mph winds, we took pictures when it was spitting rain for 30 to 45 minutes before our ceremony, and yet somehow my makeup was still amazing the entire night! She helped our entire bridal party feel so beautiful! Definitely recommend her and her team to make you feel outstanding for your wedding, professional photos and other events!

zabeth for my big day and she was absolutely amazing! Not only does she have a personality that calms you down on your big day, her work was flawless! She quickly recommended some adjustments after I thought my trial makeup was a little darker than I wanted (which was on me, I thought I wanted more dramatic than I did) and she was able to curate a dream look for me that lasted the whole day and night! Thank you, Elizabeth, for making me feel like a princess!
Dhalia and her team were the make-up artists for myself, mother, and 7 bridesmaids for my wedding. I have been a part of so many weddings where the make-up looks great in photos, b...
ut not so great in person because it is so heavy and unnatural looking. Everyone who had their make up done looked phenomenal and natural in person and this was in 100% humidity at a beach wedding. My biggest concern was finding a make-up artist that could find the right balance between getting you looking your best without looking over-done and Dhalia executed this perfectly. My mother in law who normally does not wear ANY make-up even asked Dhalia to do up her eyes for the wedding since we had extra time and she was thrilled with how it came out. My husband even complimented my make-up and noticed how natural but lovely it looked. Their time management was excellent and I believe we even finished ahead of schedule. The make-up lasted all night and I felt absolutely gorgeous which is all any brides wants to feel on her wedding day. Thank you Dhalia and Brittney, amazing job.
I’ve had Dhalia work on me several times, and each time was exceptional!! She takes your vision and nails it every time. Not to mention her professional and super kind demeanor is ...

d gave Dhalia some vague instructions to "glam it up" a bit-- she delivered just that while managing to keep my look soft as well. I got compliments on my make-up all night, felt beautiful, and looked perfect in all of our pictures! She flew through 4 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and myself quickly and had time to spare. Everybody's make up looked amazing in-person and in pictures. Definitely trust Dhalia on your wedding day-- you won't be disappointed!

g but great things to say about her. She did a makeup trial several months before my wedding to make sure she knew what type of makeup was best for me. I told her I don’t wear makeup on a regular basis and want a romantic and natural look. The day of the wedding, she showed up promptly on time. She did my makeup, both Moms, and the bridesmaids. We received so many compliments on how beautiful we looked and it lasted all night!!! I was very happy! She has great ideas and knows what to do to enhance everything from your eye color to skin tone. She gave everyone fake eyelashes that really made our eyes stunning. If you are looking for a makeup artist that is friendly, fun and very talented, do not hesitate to contact Dhalia Edwards!
