Di Bartolo's Bakery

Everyone is still talking about our wedding cake. It was flavorful and beautiful, much better than I could have imagined. They were thorough with their planning, even asking for color swatches to get the colors right for the flowers. We still visit them for birthday cakes and plan to get at least cupcakes from them for our wedding anniversary every year.

My husband and I got our cake here for our wedding as it was suggested to us by The Merion. Working with Di Bartolo's was an instant success as Al was the absolute kindness man going over everything we needed to know on how to book the cake, different designs we could do and of course, some fun wedding advice. Due to COVID-19, we were able to bring a massive box of cake and icing home with us to taste and then e-mail over the order once we decided on the cake and design we wanted. The cake was beautiful and everything we could have dreamed of. All of our guests were letting us know how much they enjoyed it the next day as well!

The cake was delicious! we had three different layers and each one was amazing. our guests were highly satisfied. We would be at their door every week if we lived closer.

My fiancé and I got our wedding cake from DiBartolo’s and it people cannot stop talking about it! We had a unique cake idea and they were able to go above and beyond our expectations. Every staff member was more than happy to work with us and make every detail perfect. We cannot thank them enough!

My parents, as well as, my sister and brother in law got their wedding cakes from Di Bartolo's and I knew I wanted to get mine here as well. It meant a lot to have my wedding cake from the same bakery that my parents had gotten theirs from 38 years ago. Their chocolate chip pound cake has always been my favorite cake, and I knew we had to have that for our wedding cake. Our cake was not only delicious, but it was exactly what I wanted, all buttercream with sunflowers and mums piped on as well. It looked beautiful and am so happy how it turned out. We used DiBartolo Bakery for our wedding on 5/26/19 at Tomasello Winery. It was seriously the best wedding cake I have ever tasted! I usually don't even eat the frosting but I could eat their frosting with a spoon! They also did an amazing job with the design we wanted! Would highly recommend for any occasion!

Four levels of beautifully crafted goodness, thanks to DiBartolo's! During the cake-tasting you will find that there are various flavors and fillings to choose from. We went with chocolate chip and fudge -- so, so, delicious. Mr. DiBartolo will work with you on whatever your vision is and craft a wonderful masterpiece. On the day of our wedding, I was amazed at how beautiful our cake was. From the perfect design showcasing our love for travel and my husbands love for cruising, it was stunning. Everyone loved it! Our cake was included with our venue, Clark's Landing Delran, so we didn't pick our bakery but we were very happy with how the cake came out!! The tasting went very well and they took their time explaining everything to us. We decided on a chocolate cake with the peanut butter filling ...BEST decision. It was delicious and our guests absolutely loved it. The design was simple white on white with little details. It was really beautiful.

Our wedding cake was more beautiful in person than we imagined! Al and his team ensured that our cake looked as great as it tasted. Our guests were blown away with the look of it and couldn’t believe that it was all cake! We will be sure to come back and try all of the other sweets they sell in store!

We loved our cake and it was DELICIOUS! Our cake was included as part of our catering package for our 5/25/2019 wedding at Adventure Aquarium in Camden NJ. When we went for the tasting, there were so many different options and everything tasted so good. Even though we ultimately went with a simple, but elegant, design with "typical" flavors (chocolate and vanilla), DiBartolo bakery really nailed it. The best part was that the leftovers from the lower tiers still tasted great the next day (the husband and I didn't get a chance to eat more than one or two bites after the cake cutting and we were so glad to be able to enjoy the cake after the festivities were over). We are gladly awaiting our first anniversary so we can chow down on that top tier!

Wow is all I can begin to say regarding the cake for our wedding at The Bradford Estate on 4/6/19. I can’t wait to share the professional pictures because mine don’t do it justice, but this was the most stunning cake I’ve ever seen. The planning process was fun and easy and everyone at DiBartolo Bakery was happy to make our vision come to life. When we asked to try a raspberry jelly filling (IT IS INCREDIBLE!) they were happy to oblige. Cake tasting was fun and we had a great time chatting with Al! When we came into the Bradford, everyone told me I had to run and look at the cake. When I did, I starting sobbing. It was truly art. I honestly didn’t want to cut it, but it was amazing. And to taste it...my goodness! That cake was so fluffy and tender...we had a little piece of every layer: raspberry swirl with raspberry jelly, chocolate chip with chocolate frosting, and greedily ate bits of our cake topper the next day! Every bit was as delicious as the last and we were able to take time to savor it because we kept reveling in the fact it was so delicious and tender. Thank you to everyone at DiBartolo Bakery for fulfilling this vision for us. Our guests were stunned and we were, too! Promise to email the beautiful Perfect Day pictures when we get them!

Absolutely amazing!! We would not have wanted anyone else to make our wedding cake. The owner is so welcoming and took our vision and made it come to life. Our cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious. We will definitely be ordering from this bakery again in the future.

Our guests raves about the cupcakes, especially the chocolate. Only disappointment was they forgot to provide our cupcake boxes we paid for so that our guests could take their cupcakes home. We were still very pleased with their cupcakes & our cake topper!

I got married a couple of weeks ago at the Bradford Estate, which includes a cake from Di Bartolo's as part of their package. We met with Al about a month and a half before our wedding, showed him exactly how we envisioned our cake, and that's exactly what we got! We went into the meeting fully intending to do a carrot cake with cream cheese icing, but after tasting their other flavors, we ended up doing two additional flavors as well. The cake was beautiful and delicious and we were very happy with it!

Our wedding cake was not exactly what we asked for at the cake tasting. We were very excited as the cake taste very good and previous cakes looked beautiful, we gave specific details as to what we wanted, literally sent pictures and swatch colors via email to the baker, one of the pictures was of a cake they had already made and we told them they could literally just change the color of details to the colors of our wedding and we would be happy. Instead we got a cake that did not have the specific details we asked for, it was very disappointing. Furthermore, the rosettes on our cake started falling off at the start of the reception. The worst part is we tried to contact the bakery about our disappointment and first they said they would send us a store credit, weeks passed and nothing had been sent, so we contacted them again about compensation and to this day they have not reached out to us. Very unprofessional and bad business!

DiBartlo was the bakery out reception venue Clarks Landing Yacht Club uses. We met with Al twice during our planning and he was super helpful and personable both times. He was very friendly and accommodating. We met the second time because I decided to make some changes. I showed him a picture and a vague idea of my plans and they knocked it out of the park. I did a deconstructed wedding cake and it turned out better than I could have every imagined. I was so happy when I got to the venue and saw those cakes, I was obsessed with them! So beautiful and delicious! Everyone keeps telling me how good the cake was even people who don't usually go for cake. Highly recommended!!

Our wedding took place June, 25, 2017 at The Bradford Estate in Hainesport, NJ. As part of the wedding package with The Bradford, a wedding cake from Di Bartolo's was included. During our cake testing the staff at the bakery were very welcoming and informative. I had brought in a few pictures of naked cakes I had found, and the staff were extremely accommodating. When we had questions, we were given helpful suggestions. On our wedding day, our cake sat on a wine barrel and was stunning. We had put our own wooden cake topper and succulents on it. The flavors were delicious, and it was presented beautifully! In fact, we can't wait for our one year anniversary to eat our wedding cake again! We used Summit Catering, who partners with DiBartolo Bakery to provide the wedding cakes. I had a really hard time picking a cake design, and finally found a Pinterest picture that I loved. The bakers at DiBartolo put together a design that was similar to the picture, but still unique and mine. My guests LOVED the cake, it was so different and fun and very true to us. The cake itself was great too. Overall good experience.

Thank you so much for our beautiful wedding cake! Di Bartolo's Bakery was able to put together the perfect cake from different pictures and ideas my husband and I had. Once we saw it for the first time, we were blown away with how well it went with our 1920's style and the 2 cake toppers were perfectly positioned. Not to mention, the butter pound and raspberry swirl with chocolate filling was delicious! I can not wait to get to taste the top layer at our 1 year anniversary. Pros - The cake was absolutely delicious, and the design was just as we had asked for it. Cons - Unfortunately, the cake was delivered more than 3 hours after the quoted delivery time. Our florist had to wait around for 2 hours to finish placing the flowers on the cake.

Our cake was SO delicious! So good that there wasn't any left when the wedding was over. DiBartolos did a great job at making the cake my husband and I wanted. They stuck with the design and even added a few things that made it look better. I'm definitely coming back for birthday cakes 😊

Our cake was included with our venue, and it came out exactly how I wanted. They worked with me and my budget to deliver a cake that looked like a million bucks. It was absolutely perfect, and definitely delicious.

Our cake was included in our wedding package. When we went for out tasting at the bakery everything looked amazing! Then we started the tasting and it was even better! On the wedding day our cake was just what we wanted and was more than we hoped for.

We wanted a very uniquue wedding cake and they NAILED IT!!!!!! Our guests STILL talk about the cake and our pics have gone global. The detail was unbelievable and it was better than we could have imagined...not to mention it tasted DELICIOUS and we were able to have different flavors per tier- and not just vanilla, chocolate or marble like other cake venues!

Our consolation/tasting was one of our favorite parts of the planning process and DiBartolo's has such a cute bakery and separate reserved area for brides and grooms to come in and taste. Our wedding cake turned out beautiful with the intricate lace detail that I had wanted. The flavor of the cake (we chose strawberry swirl and chocolate chip on alternating layers) was absolutely delicious as well and we can't wait to eat our top layer on our one year anniversary! DiBartolo's also provided the dessert selection for our reception and by the looks of the completely cleaned out dessert buffet, everyone loved it! Thank you for making our wedding so sweet!

Di Bartolo's Bakery is fantastic and FAST. Originally, my wedding cake was going to be completed by another bakery BUT the owner fell ill and wouldn't be able to complete my cake by the time my wedding day came (June 20th, 2015). When I found out the news, my wedding day was literally a week and a half away...and was slightly panicking. However, my wedding coordinator was able to get Di Bartolo's Bakery all the details of my cake just DAYS before the event and they DELIVERED! My wedding cake was made EXACTLY how I wanted it and it tasted great!!! I am truly impressed at how well the bakery was able to craft my cake so well. I highly recommend Di Bartolo's Bakery!

DiBartolo Bakery provided our wedding cake topper/cupcakes as well as the Italian dessert table for our wedding and everything was delicious. I tried quite a few different desserts (why not now, right?) and everything was top notch. They were part of our package with Summit Catering and well worth it.

DiBartolo's came with our catering package, and I could not be more pleased. My fiance and I went in with a very vague idea in mind during the tasting, and they came up with great suggestions to help us make a decision, and incorporate both our ideas. The cake on the wedding day came out fantastic. It looked exactly like they said it would, and tasted even better. Many compliments from guest on how great the cake was. Will definitely be going there for more desserts in the future! We had three different flavors, traditional pound, chocolate chip, and raspberry! All three were perfect!

We chose our cake flavors about 7 months before the wedding--a bit early, because my husband and I were traveling a lot out of state and weren't around much, but no matter how far in advance it was, the flavors we tasted on our wedding day were just as good (actually, even better) than what we tasted that day in the shop! The price of our cake and dessert table was included in the cost of our catering with Summit Caterers, so we didn't choose our desserts other than cake, it was an assortment, but everything was so amazing!! Our guests were really happy, and I would definitely recommend them.

I was so excited to find a bakery that made beautiful designs and delicious gluten free cakes. (Very hard to come by) The bakers talent was amazing. I was very impressed with the cake. I gave them a very difficult tiered designed that looked like USMC dress blues. It was spectacular and tasted amazing. But I must stress, get your cake delivered!!! The owner insisted that I didnt need to pay the $50 to get it delivered and that people drive her cakes to Virginia with no problem. Well my poor brother had a problem driving over the bridge into Philadelphia. The cover (hat) fell backwards on the cake. Then with miscommunication between the bakery and my caterer it never got fixed. When I went back to complain the owner was very flustered and said it was my brothers fault. She said, did he put it on a car seat??? Seriously??? Of course he did, but she had promised it would be fine and it wasnt. She refused to aplogize and showed no sympathy. Luckily her son difused the situation and offered us a solution. I wasnt there looking for anything free, I just wanted them to let people pay for delivery when they want to and not encourage people to deliver their own tiered cakes. All in all I would use the bakery again. The cake was delicious and beautiful.

Our cake was amazing!! We had a 4 layer cake that was all different types of cake. We also had a desert bar which was awesome. The cake was so great. We will use them in the future!!

I used DiBartolo bakery for my 6/21/2013 wedding. Instead of the traditional wedding cake, I went with cupcakes instead. Al was extremely helpful when we went for a "tasting," and really understood my vision for wedding day cupcakes! I can't believe how great the cupcakes looked and how much attention was paid to the detailing on every single cupcake! They were beautiful to look at, but even more delicious to eat! We had so many left over at the end of the wedding, that we were enjoying them for many days after. I will definitely be using DiBartolo's in the future!!

Having grown up in South Jersey, I've been a long-time fan of DiBartolo Bakery. So when my catering package included a cake from them, I was so happy! We were able to pick from so many of their cake flavors (and taste many of them!), and ended up with one of the best wedding cakes I've tasted. (And I've been to a lot of weddings as a guest over the past few years.) The decoration was exactly what I'd been looking for as well!

I live in CA and I had my wedding in NJ and I told them what I wanted through e-mail and my cake was delicious and it looked way better than I had imagined.

My cake was included in my wedding package with Summit Catering. But I am not a big fan of cake. I hate sweet icing and just don’t like cake in general. But this was literally the best cake I have ever had. They use pound cake and a butter cream frosting which doesn’t have that sickening sweet taste. They were very helpful at the tasting, despite it being a crowed weekend. We weren’t rushed into making our decision and they even package up a second set of samples for me to take home to my mother who wasn’t able to stand through a tasting. I had a picture of a cake I wanted but wanted a few things changed on it. They got the original picture and every change right. I am extremely fussy, and I loved everything about my cake.

Our wedding cake tasting was my absolute favorite part of our wedding planning. Everyone at the bakery was very helpful and accommodating even though we went on a weekend and it was very busy. They gave us plenty of attention and made sure we had time to decide. We did not go in with a vision or anything, and I wanted a wedding cake that just looked like a wedding cake without any theme or signature design or anything. They had pictures there to help us decide on the design, and it came out beautifully!

My 1st experience there I worked with an assistant of the actual baker and I left disappointed because she told me to leave and come back with a picture. I wanted to work with the baker and have them help with the design. My 2nd visit there went perfectly. I met with the head baker and we discuss my cake. The day of my wedding it came out perfect exactly what I wanted and it tasted delicious! The reason why I went back after my annoying 1st experience is because my venue worked closely with them. I am glad I gave them a 2nd chance because everything was perfect.

We were very happy when we walked into the bakery and were able to talk with the owner. He made us feel like we made a good choice, even though we had their cakes before and were recommended to go their anyway. He was very thorough, allowed us to come back with a deposit, made great suggestions and was dead on with what we wanted for our cake. They delivered our cake to the wedding venue for us, and we had our florist decorate it with fresh flowers. The cake was gorgeous and everyone loved it. They are really a great bakery to work with! And we didn't have to book it until a few weeks before the wedding!

The chocolate chip cake we tried at the tasting was delicious, but the chip to cake ratio in our actual wedding cake was somewhat disappointing. In addition, we had a cake scare when at 20 minutes to our ceremony, we were informed that the cake still hadn't arrived at the reception venue, and no one could get ahold of anyone else at the bakery. In the end, the cake was lovely when it finally arrived, and we had so much of it left over, we took almost the entire bottom layer home. The manager at the shop was very helpful to us during the ordering process.

Busy bakery... But totally what I wanted! I gave him two pictures and he created just what I wanted without acquiring any additional charges!! O and it tasted amazing!

They made a beautiful cake for our wedding, just what we wanted! And it was delicious too! Not sure the cost because it was in the pricing for our caterer, Summit Catering!

My cake was included in the venue cost. It was rich and creamy and amazing. It looked great and everyone loved it. I had people asking if i had any left over.

My husband and I designed our own cake with a man that works at the bakery. He was very nice and he seem to understand what we wanted. He even drew a picture of the cake. However, the day of our event, the outside of the cake was not what we designed. We couldn't even put our cake toper on it. And the cake was slowly falling apart before we even got to cut it. We were disappointed. But it did taste great.

Cake tasted good but the flavors were not what we ordered

I have celiac disease so we looked around for a bakery with gluten free wedding cakes that would not taste so gluten free. They had the best cake!

I have never been crazy about wedding cakes so I wanted a cake that not only looked great but tasted great. After meeting with the baker and discussing our theme..which was beach theme and showing him a picture I found and picture he had in his book we pulled pieces from both and came up with the perfect cake. In addition, we had different flavors with the top layers being red velvet. Our guest all complimented us on not only the beauty of cake but the different flavors. Our cake was included as part of our package with Marco's Catering so we had no out of pocket expense.

Everyone loved our cake and our sweets table. We got to taste test our cake and went with pound cake and chocolate chip pound cake. It was delicious!
