we read for Diamond Empire Band. We booked them without seeing them, hoping the internet wouldn't lead us a stray. I am happy to say that the band completely exceeded our expectations! They were awesome to work with, consulted with us to make sure the music would match our taste and keep all of our guests on the dance floor all night. Some of my favorite memories from the night are dancing to the sound of these amazing musicians! If you are planning a wedding reception and want to make sure you and your guests are dancing all night, you should book Diamond Empire! We are still hearing from our guests how much fun they had and how great the music was!

process was a breeze and you made planning perfectly seamless. I appreciate you working with my ceremony vocalist and granting an extension on the timeline allowing me to use my first band set for cocktail hour. I have to tell you, Sarah made the band as the main vocalist. I loved how she made her way around the dance floor and grabbed people from the bar and brought them to the dance floor. She made people want to dance and people are still talking about how amazing the lead singer was. She was so high energy and talented, I can’t imagine what the night would have been like without her. However, I really wished Sarah would have been the singer for our first dance. I’m not entirely sure what happened, but we were really disappointed with our first dance. I know I might have picked a unique song, being that it was Dave Matthews, but I think the vocalist was performing the backup lyrics, as we never actually heard the chorus or any of the main lyrics in the song. I’m trying to focus on how amazing the band was for what we hired you to do, get our guests dancing, but be aware that our first dance was an epic fail. Either way, I would definitely recommend DEB but would caution a future bride or groom to ensure their first dance comes off the list of songs on their website so you are not disappointed. It was an absolute pleasure working with you Elijah! Sarah, you were everything I could have asked for and you truly made the night! Thank you for all you did to make our day so special!

ur expectation that they would play songs consistent with those selections. That was not the case. In addition the band did not attempt to build a rapport with the audience and seemed annoyed most of the evening. The lead vocalist had a nice voice but was a terrible emcee for the wedding. After the wedding, we expressed our frustration to the organizer and she was defensive and dismissive. Choose this company with caution.

Our MC forgot to introduce the Mother and Son dance, one band member caught this and made sure it was included. Diamond Empire Band was our favorite and easiest vendor to work with by a long shot. Their attention to detail through planning and day-of as well as their spectacular performance made for a great value. I could not recommend DEB enough. Thank you for a memorable night!

We were so excited when we booked Diamond Empire and then ten days before our wedding communication completely fell apart. We found out through our coordinator (after having a conv...
ersation with Elijah the night before and having him make everything sound perfect) that most of the songs we had chosen for the band to play wouldn't be happening and they would be replaced with nothing. We got in touch with him about ten days before our wedding to try to get a list of songs that could be played, he promised this list the next day. I didn't hear anything until three days before our wedding. We were able to figure out some songs and the band sounded great during the dinner portion, but they didn't bring a microphone or amplifier. We couldn't hear them play the songs for our first dance, the father-daughter dance, or the mother-son dance and no one could hear them for the rest of the reception. I see that everyone else got an amazing celebration and it puts tears in my eyes to think that I couldn't even hear the song that my dad chose to dance with me to and that the first dance that I had with my husband was inaudible, when I know the musicians and singers were amazing.

mpletely understand your concerns but, unfortunately, the venue you chose does not allow any amplification. We were under the impression that your wedding coordinator had relayed this to you and are sorry to hear you weren't aware. Unfortunately, this was completely out of the band's control as we certainly don't want to be the cause an event being shut down due to noise violations. To add to this, the band was originally told to set up next to the river on the opposite side of the park from the bar and outdoor games. People naturally gathered at the bar/games area as it was a beautiful evening. We realized they would not be able to hear the music without amplification, so, during one of our breaks we asked to move closer to the event setup for our remaining dance sets. This helped pack the dance floor and it seemed your guests were having a great time!
As far as your song list, we did play most of the songs you requested and took a number of unplanned requests from your husband and guests. As requested, we played Happy by Pharrell for the bridal party entrance, You Make My Dreams Come True for the bride and groom entrance, and On Top of the World for the cake cutting as well as other requests. Again, I'm so sorry that you felt you couldn't hear them properly due to the amplification restrictions, but we are glad that your guests seemed to have fun dancing on such a beautiful evening!
