Day of the wedding started with meeting the second shooter which Josh had never worked with before and only met that day. A strange concept to do for someone’s wedding. I would think if you’re bringing in a second shooter, it would be someone you’ve worked with before. During wedding party pictures, Josh would refer to the bride as either “you” or call her the wrong name a couple times.
In the detailed shots of dresses hanging up there are price tags and a Dillards plastic bag hanging. Mother noticed this and removed them so he could take the picture again. He said no and that he would just edit them out. Well they weren’t edited out. For me, this is just a lack of attention to detail.
Here’s the BIG issue we faced. When it came to family pictures…. Josh left the venue for approximately an hour and a half if not more, without telling ANYONE except the second shooter. The second shooter brought it up to us saying she doesn’t know where he went or when he’ll be back, just that he had left. Family pictures were at 2pm and he returned at 3:45pm. Which was 15 minutes prior to the ceremony. He claims to only have been gone for 30 minutes…. Not sure how 2-3:45 is only 30 min. Which resulted in the ceremony starting later than intended. When he returned, Josh went into the bridal suite to speak with the bride as to why he left the venue for that long. He wouldn’t allow her to give her thoughts on the situation and kept speaking over her. Which was to request the second shooter take over the responsibilities of lead shooter since he had voided the contract anyways by leaving as his contract states two shooters for the 9 hours. Josh told the bride that he couldn’t afford to pay the second shooter anyway. This is all backed up by the bridesmaids and venue owner who were there for this interaction.
Josh informed us 15 min prior the ceremony the reason for leaving the venue. Empathy was expressed to Josh by the bride and myself at that time which he later emailed us upset that we didn’t express enough empathy.
When it came to getting pictures returned… There were was a big ole zit on the side of my face (the groom). Very red and obvious. It was asked previously if he could fix any blemishes that may pop up on the wedding day. He stated he could absolutely fix them. Pictures returned and when I asked why the zit wasn’t fixed, he wanted me to let him know exactly what pictures I was talking about. It was any picture showing the one side of my face. He said it was my fault for not telling him to fix the pictures in the first place. Kinda thought that’s why you spend thousands of dollars so someone who’s a “professional” can do this work.
When we received the print album, there were absolutely NO pictures of the brides family. Which I know there were pictures of them taken because we got them in the digital album. The last two pages of the print album are of the families. My family standing with my wife and I which included aunts, uncles, grandparents, siblings ect. On the next page where you would expect to see the brides side of the family… was just her parents with us. Absolutely nothing of her siblings, uncles, or even her only grandparent left. He said he didn’t know who her family was in pictures so didn’t know what picture to put there. He could have asked us very easily. There were pictures taken of her family, he just chose not to include it in there. Not sure if it was just a lack of attention to detail or something else.
My husband and I are extremely happy with the final photographs! They are what we were looking for and more; natural and beautiful. Josh and his crew were very personable and professional throughout our wedding planning process and day of! I wouldn't have changed a thing.
Cannot recommend Diamond Label Films enough! Josh is not only incredible at what he does but was also a joy to have around during our wedding day! He went above and beyond capturing our day and even tied in some of our honeymoon photos in our highlight reel! We are so glad we chose Diamond label films!
Josh was so great to work with! He was able to get everyone in our bridal party to vibe with all his ideas and really brought out our good sides. The context he gave us was amazing and we are truly so happy we chose to work with him!
In response to my wife's post. Josh made zero attempts to contact us and explain the situation. His response of making a "nice" highlight is his excuse for covering up that he deleted footage. If that was the plan all along, we should have been kept in the loop. The fact remains we have not heard a word from him in over five months. We asked for a full refund, knowing that we wouldn't see a dime. In the beginning he was shocked that we were upset, we paid for a service. That isn't up for him to decide what we receive back. Like many other reviews his communication is zero until a negative review is left, then he replies instantly. We have kept this matter private for a long time out of respect. Sadly, these reviews are the only way to hear back from him.
I don’t normally write reviews but Josh and Diamond Label Films were amazing to work with and we cannot recommend them enough. They captured our wedding perfectly, not missing out on one detail and were super fun throughout the day. We received our highlight video and full video WAY quicker than expected which was such a nice surprise. If you are debating whether or not to get a videographer for your wedding, JUST DO IT (and get Diamond Label Films).
Our wedding was absolutely amazing! All of the pictures captured every breathtaking moment. I would highly recommend Joshua and his team to do professional photography and videography. If you want it done right, you won’t be disappointed with his work! Top notch work :) everyone thinks our wedding belongs on a hallmark card or commercial! That’s how good!
OUR WEDDING VIDEO WAS DELETED A YEAR AGO AND WE HAVE YET TO BE REIMBURSED
If you scroll through this reviews page, you will find that we are not the only ones to have experienced a video deletion with Josh Booth and Diamond Label Films. At least two other couples in addition to us have had their wedding videos deleted and from what the reviews say, all of us have struggled to get any form of repayment (if the reviews have since been taken down, I have screen shots if you would like to see them). My husband and I were set to get married in April of 2020 and of course, COVID shut us down. We ended up having a 10-person ceremony on our original date and then we planned to have a larger ceremony/reception when we could safely do so (initially planned for August 2020 and then pushed back AGAIN to May 2021 when it actually did happen). Josh, like all my vendors, was very accommodating in the shuffling of the dates and we were so appreciative and grateful.
After our 10-person ceremony in April 2020, I heard nothing from Josh and had to reach out to him in OCTOBER 2020 to get our highlight video. Our highlight video was sent to us shortly after but not without Josh saying, “I had put it in the back of my mind” (direct quote). Fast-forward to May 2021 and Josh films our second ceremony and reception. He claimed that I did not alert him that a second ceremony would be happening even though I sent him a detailed timeline that included a ceremony.
We got our “completed” wedding video package delivered to us June 8th of 2021 but noticed that our full ceremony from April 2020 (the one only 10 people could attend) was missing. We immediately alerted Josh to this with no response. We sent a reminder email on JULY 16th, 2021. We finally heard back on July 17th saying he would “dig it up” when he got home. We heard back again on July 23rd with Josh letting us know that he likely copied over the April 2020 ceremony when he edited the May 2021 ceremony/reception.
We were beyond devastated, and he had the audacity to say, “I didn’t anticipate you being as upset,” it was “a very small part that is missing,” and “I don’t feel that it’s worth a full refund” even though his contract stated, “for any reason, failure to deliver videos for any reason we will return all payments already paid to the Videographer.” Of course, at this point he had received full payment from us (over $,3000) but instead he offered us a photoshoot and $500. We informed him that we had no interest in pursuing any further photography/videography services with his company and that we would expect a full refund as it was stated in his contract.
While he says he is willing to work with us, this has been over a year in the making, we have not seen a single cent of restitution, and each time we reach out about getting reimbursed, we are met with excuse after excuse or simply no communication at all.
I will be forever grateful for the footage we do have thanks to Josh, but the principle stands that he failed to deliver all of our videos and thus far has refused to honor his contract. We wanted to be respectful of his circumstances and be patient but after a year of this back and forth with him, we cannot stay silent any longer and want to keep future couples from experiencing the sadness and regret that we have. Please think twice before hiring Josh Booth and Diamond Label Films for your wedding. From what we have seen, this is not a company that upholds its word or integrity.
Josh was professional and but my bride anxiety at ease. He went with the flow of the day and took the pressure off. Our photos are beautiful and I would recommend him for videography.
I’m disappointed with my wedding photos. The positioning and spacing of group photos is poor, Indoor pictures are dark and groom is blinking in some of the bride and groom shots. Although my video was great, my team was friendly and Josh listened to my concerns. I can not change the photos from of my wedding day.
We are so glad we went with Josh Booth at Diamond Label for both video and photography! Josh is laid back, able to make you loosen up, laugh and just have a lot of fun while he’s taking your photos! My cheeks hurt from laughing during our engagement session and I had a permanent grin stuck on my face all day at our wedding! Now I may have already been very excited for the day but Josh really hyped us up and ensured we had the best day! Even though Josh has a more laid back style, he also knows when to get the group moving and keep everyone on track! He kept us on schedule even when we had hiccups and just did such an amazing job capturing our joy during the day. We had a sparkler exit planned for after Josh was supposed to leave and he surprised us the night of the wedding by coordinating for another photographer to come take photos of our sparkler exit. He really cares about his couples and that was very apparent on our wedding day! He also had such a quick turnaround with our video and gallery! I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Josh! Book Diamond Label, you won’t regret it! I say this as both my sisters got married within a three year span and Josh was by far the easiest photographer to work with and most fun to be around the day of the wedding 😊
We had an awesome time working with Josh. He did our engagement photos and wedding day photos, and he made the whole process so easy! He's incredibly friendly and personable, and he was so great with all of our guests. Before the wedding, he planned out a schedule for the whole day, which was really great because it meant I had one less thing on my plate on my wedding day. We got our collection of photos 4 weeks after our wedding and they are so gorgeous! He captured our love beautifully and I would strongly recommend Josh to anyone looking for a wedding photographer/videographer!
We are fast approaching our 2 year anniversary and I was just wondering when you were planning to refund the $2450 you owe us from losing all of our wedding video footage.
We were so excited to use Diamond label films. And it has been a complete nightmare. We were married on 10-05-2019 did not get our “sneak peak” until January first. That was after constant emailing and texts asking for this. Since then we still have not received our thumb drive. We have emailed and texted with no reply. Not only did we spend a lot of money on this. But this was our wedding we hoped to have this film to share with our kids one day. And are slowly coming to the realization that we waisted a lot of money and will probably never receive our film. It’s so disappointing and frustrating.
While the skill may be there in the portfolio, the owner Josh Booth is a liar and a scam. I paid in full for my videography in December 2016 for a wedding October of 2017. Let’s take a moment to hit on the fact that Josh sent someone else to film my wedding because he double booked himself. I found this out weeks before the wedding. Talk about added stress on a bride. In about August of 2018 as we approached our first anniversary I realized I never received my final product. Upon contact I was first told they sent it, I asked for proof to then realize they never did. After some time searching it was found that my film had all been deleted! Talk about a brides nightmare. I’ll never get the opportunity to have this day on video and recorded again. I then requested a refund and it was finally agreed too. I have gotten excuse after excuse going on 7 months now. I received one check over the summer that bounced for non-sufficient funds. I’ll never get my film so the least he could do is refund my money. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH DIAMON LABEL FILMS!!
I would like to think people change but do yourself a favor and make sure you research the person (found out about some legal troubles after the fact). Don’t take a risk with him on a product that is supposed to capture your wedding day, you may not actually get that product. I do not wish this result on a single bride so do yourself a favor and book someone else.
Rumor has there are other brides that have gone through the same situations with Diamond Label Films and Josh Booth but this one is my story and I can speak factual to it.
Josh and his team are undoubtedly amazing at what they do. They’re meticulous and produce great work. However, after our wedding I was told It would be 4-6 weeks before we got our sneak peak followed with our actually video. It has now been almost three months and we have not yet received our video, let alone our short sneak peak. It’s unfortunate because this was the first outside vendor we hired when we got engaged and the item we were most excited about.
Initially I overlooked a videographer, as it is an expensive part of the wedding budget, but almost every bride I talked to said their biggest regret was not getting a videographer. I changed my mind and I am SO glad I did. Diamond Label is such a reasonably priced videography service and it is honestly priceless when it means I get to relive my wedding day over and over. As a bride, the day goes SO quickly and even though I tried HARD to take moments to "soak it all in" on the day, there was still plenty that I missed but luckily got to see with Josh's video! Josh responded to any email I had in minutes, was prompt on the wedding day, worked alongside my photographer wonderfully, and made a few changes to our highlight video to make it exactly as I envisioned it. My husband and I are not naturals in front of the camera, but we were shocked to see how natural we come across in our highlight video! We are so happy we picked Diamond Label Films!!
I am so glad we chose Joshua Booth as our videographer! He exceeded our expectations and captured our day beautifully!
Diamond label was amazing to work with! I am so happy we chose to have a videographer, and even more so, grateful to have had Josh and Dorsey there the day of. Josh is so great to work with before, during, and after the big day. I would recommend Diamond Label to any one that wants great, personable talent in a videographer. Thank you doesn't cut it, Diamond Label. Truly, your amazing!
Joshua was very good to work with! He was very flexible and worked very well with our photographer! I would recommend him for anyone getting married!
Josh and his team were great to work with! They made a highlight video and a full day edit of our wedding footage. Josh provided excellent customer service and tailored the videos to be exactly what we wanted. I would definitely recommend Diamond Label Films for wedding videography!
