I am writing this review as the mother of the groom. In times of COVID, I wasn't sure how choosing a cake was going to work out. It wasn't the normal wedding or celebration, but we still wanted something special. I decided that we were just g...oing to have to trust the expertise and experience of Diane since we didn't want to go for any tastings during these difficult times. That was of course, the smartest thing we did--just trust the professional. We had to choose a wedding cake and some sweets for the guests for our champagne toast celebration. Things went great, no last minute surprises or glitches.
For the guests, we chose to do mini cakes in small, individual clear plastic boxes. That way no one was breathing on the cakes or touching them. There was a nice selection in each box for someone to enjoy. The mini cakes in the boxes made a beautiful presentation and were EXCELLENT. It was very nice to see what was inside the boxes since the mini cakes were so pretty.
Personally, I loved the profiteroles, and the Linzer torte (which surprised me since I am more of a chocolate girl). Some ate there and some took home, so the box idea was perfect. Everyone loved them.
> I think the bride and groom's Wedding Cake was a VERY big hit. First of all, it looked beautiful—so special and just what the bride and groom described. And when I had the chance to taste it, oh my Gd, it was delicious. Just the best. That combination of that chocolate cake with the fillings you suggested were perfect. Especially the choc ganache. Diane were right about the size, too—it was perfect.
> Diane made the entire process very easy for me, everything done over the phone or email, no contact. She was always available when I called or wrote. Her suggestions were right on. Thank you for delivering to our venue—hands off for me. All worked out so well.
> So bottom line—all went well, especially Diane's part. Diane is a pleasure to deal with. I won’t hesitate to use Diane again and to highly recommend Diane's Patisserie to anyone who asks.
