Hiring Dilshan and his team to plan my Indian wedding was one of the best vendor decisions I made. I was probably a pretty difficult bride in that I was a reluctant planner who still wanted to be super involved in the whole wedding planning process. Dilshan rolled with this and, in the months leading up to the wedding, we talked a ton. He even drove from San Antonio to Austin (where I live) a few times to touch base, see how I was feeling, and just talk things through. You could tell he really, really cared and wanted my wedding weekend to be special and not just another turnkey Indian wedding. I think Dilshan’s biggest strength is that he is super obsessed with event flow and logistics. This is extra important at Indian weddings because they always have a lot of moving pieces. In my case, we reviewed the event flow multiple times and Dilshan was great about anticipating some of the problems that might arise during the more complex parts of my wedding (e.g., the double baraat, off-site wedding party photoshoot, transportation to and from the venue, or my welcome event, which started as guests were still arriving AND before check-in time at the hotel had officially begun) and made sure they went off without a hitch. He also did a great job handling little issues that arose during the weekend itself. For example, when the temperature dropped unexpectedly during my ceremony, he had space heaters brought out for the guests at the last second. He also provided a bunch of services I hadn’t even considered, like having my bridesmaid and groomsmen’s outfits steamed, and pairing all my shoes, jewelry, and outfits together so that when I was getting ready for events everything was super streamlined. He also assigned me and my husband a body person to take us from one event to another. I did not anticipate how tired and braindead I would be during my wedding weekend and this extra attention to detail really, really helped. And, his team was fabulous. They looked so boss communicating with each other throughout the event using earpieces and did a great job preparing my wedding party, coordinating with all the vendors, and keeping guests happy. It was above and beyond anything I expected. I could go on and on about how awesome Dilshan and his team are, but maybe the best way to sum up my feelings is this: If I had to get married again, I would hire Dilshan Events!

I met Dilshan at my brother and sister in laws wedding and when I saw how he handled their wedding of over 500 guests with such ease I knew I need his help to plan my wedding! We had an out of town wedding in New Orleans that was mixed cultural. It was important to us to include my husbands Indian culture as well as the special richness that New Orleans has to offer, and Dilshan was able to do that flawlessly. The first thing that I noticed about Dilshan that I loved is that he is so organized, from the questions he asked me to the ideas he had, he thought of everything, even things that I didn't think of. As a bride I was often asked, how are you so calm, and its because I had Dilshan and his team planning my wedding. He was always able to answer my questions wether it be via phone call or text and was able to meet in person for more detailed and personal touches. His attention to detail is so impressive and him and his team planned a wedding for us that was better than I could have ever imagined. Choosing Dilshan Weddings and events its a decision you will NEVER regret... after all isn't this the most important day of your lives! Dilshan and his team gave us the most seamless, and breathtaking wedding that we could have ever imagined. We had two ceremonies (essentially two completely separate weddings), and Dilshan and his team worked endlessly to ensure they were both unique, and memorable for both families. The event ran with grace, and pure elegance from start to finish. The vendor choices were first class from the tiniest of details, to the largest ones. I still have guest commenting on the level of detail put into our entire wedding along with surrounding events. Communication with Dilshan throughout the planning process was spot on. I have a busy work schedule, and it was never an issue for communication with anything. He also schedules vendor schedules around your schedule, always keeping you first priority. Dilshan's communication is always courteous, respectful, and professional within all aspects of planning process. I felt like my input was always respected, while still enabling you to create your ideal day. He will take your idea's and dreams and enhance them creating a charismatic, extraordinary experience. The attention to detail was impeccable, from something as small as the card box, or larger moments you want to be able to remember forever. The day of Dilshan and his team were poised, and perfect... that is the only think I can say, I hardly have words to describe the work they did day of. My family commented they would just think of something they may need, and someone from the team would just appear with whatever it was, it was truly a dream. My mother had a co-worker mention to her boss "The secret service was even at her wedding" because the team was always impeccable dressed, and presented themselves with the highest level of professionalism. Dilshan went as far as to get photos of family and guest to give to the hotel, so upon arrival the hotel was prepared to greet them. Needless to say the overall experience is the greatest that I could ever imagine in a million lifetimes. I wanted this day to be one I would remember forever, we only do it once and I wanted so badly for it to be perfect. Now that it is over I can over confidently say our wedding was everything we could ever dream of ten fold. I would have never pictured anything more spectacular or memorable. I had to hold back the entire time, from ugly crying through the entire thing, because every ounce of the wedding was truly picture perfect. It does help that I was marrying my prince charming, but we both could not have ever imagined our day to be even half as beautiful as it was. I often tell people when they ask it was the funnest, and most perfect wedding that I have ever attending... and I do not believe that I am bias and think that because it was my own. All of our friends and family rave about how it was also the most amazing wedding they have ever attending from start to finish. Long story short, 5 stars over....and over again!

Dilshan and his team pulled off a great wedding within our budget. We were on edges and could not imagine how the wedding would turn out since we were dealing with so many issues from guest count to bridesmaid not being able to make it for one reason or the other. Dilshan advised us on how to navigate through it all. Him and his team were keen to details during the wedding and made us worry free. The team of vendors he recommended were great as well. Overall experience working with Dilshan and Team was great and I would highly recommend Dilshan Weddings & Events.

Dilshan and his team are amazing! I actually saw Dilshan at work at my friends wedding in Texas. He did such an amazing job and he was always around making sure all little details were taken care of. I wanted him to plan my wedding in California. So of course, my family thought I was crazy wanting a wedding planner that didn't even live the same state. We flew him out and of course Dilshan has charming and energetic nature about him and my family also had a good feeling about him. Dilshan made my wedding magical and he worked well will all of the vendors, everything proceeded in a timely fashion. On top of that Dilshan is just truly a kind nice person which makes working with him easy. My favorite memory was right before the reception, as we were getting into the limo, Dilshan had mine and my husband's favorite cocktails waiting for us! It was not only the big things but the little detail that put Dilshan and his team over the top. I would highly recommend him and is wonderful team to anyone getting married!

What a wonderful experience with Dilshan! My daughter's wedding went off very smoothly - great choice of vendors, delightful team, and everything was a great experience from planning to finish. Every morning, I would get my "wake up" call from Dilshan to discuss plans. His advice and focus on details was superb. All our guests said that this was the wedding of the year! Thanks to Dilshan! A very important point was that Dilshan was never over-bearing. He listened to both my daughter and me and was on track with our needs and wishes. Truly, a team effort!

Dilshan and his team coordinated the day of my wedding and everything was flawless!-this is very impressive given my guest count was >500 people. They paid attention to details I wouldn't even think of! They were so accommodating to any changes, even last minute changes on the wedding day. They were able to manage a large, demanding crowd with ease. Somehow during my reception they were able to have everyone seated within 5-10 minutes...twice! They were easily available by phone for anything I needed, at any hour. Dilshan even made special arrangements to attend my rehearsal in Houston which was 2 days before the actual wedding, when he is based out of San Antonio. I was able to truly enjoy my wedding day knowing that I had left everything in trusted hands. Not to mention-they all have the kindest and most fun attitudes, so easy to work with! My family still cannot stop raving about how wonderful his team was and how smoothly the event ran. Hiring Dilshan and his team was one of the best decisions I made for that day and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
