I'm not a make-up person. I hardly use it. I had zero problems with Dina and communicating what I wanted through pinterest and just talking about the effect I was hoping to achieve. Dina didn't come off salesy or anything which I always appreciate.
I recommend you do her make-up trial. Be sure for both the trial and day of that you allot time for her though. I thought she was crazy when she said the trial might go on for over 6 hours. Time flew. Looking as good as she makes you takes time. People absolutely paid back the time in compliments.
I don't have high quality photos from my photographer yet, so I just have this one for now. I vote confidentially that she knows how to work Indian skin tones as she made both a semi-natural look and a heavier look.

When my mom and I went to Dina for the trial, we immediately knew that she was a professional. She had a full collection of makeup and embraced my vision.
Dina come to our hotel room at 4am and didn't have any issues arriving early. She stayed on schedule as she took care of my mom and I. She was so flexible as I changed up my hair and makeup slightly from our original plan. She also takes feedback and modification request with ease! I loved the final product on my wedding day! I felt beautiful as well as myself and I got so many positive comments! After 8 hours of dancing and the summer heat, everything was still perfect! Thank you Dina.

Before going in to my bridal trial, I discussed with Dina that I was concerned with having makeup that came off easily because sometimes it leaves spots on my fiancé since he is darker if correct techniques are not done. Dina then assured me that since the makeup she will use is airbrush I would not have any problems. Even though Dina promised the makeup would not come off, it did. Her reason that it came off is because she used regular foundation on face first and then applied the airbrush. However, if I discussed that was an issue to begin with, I do not understand why she would proceed to continue use of regular makeup.
Also, I was disappointed with the way my hair came out. I am mixed with black and white and I thought Dina would be able to do my hair because I saw what her hair texture was like online. I explained to Dina before she began to curl my hair that due to my hair texture, she needed to use the flat iron to straighten it and then curl. Dina proceeded by telling me that her specific curling iron gets hot enough to straighten and curl, so she continued to do what she thought was best. She is the professional in the area of makeup and hair, so even though I advised her, I let her continue. When Dina was finished with my hair and took out pins from curls, she proceeded by informing me that I was right and she should have flat ironed it and then curled. Since Dina used a lot of hair spray in my hair that day she could not fix what she did right then.
My makeup and hair was not done to my expectations by Dina. Dina did mention to me that I could come in for another trial, but she would not give me any type of refund. After discussion with family, our opinion is that going back is a waste of time.

vents for myself and my mother. I booked her earlier this year and knew she was the perfect fit once I spoke to her on the phone. Her demeanor is very calming and accommodating. Thats the type of person you want to make you look your best on your wedding day, trust me, with all the other chaos going around! I did have a trial with her before the wedding and it was extremely helpful in selecting color palettes, especially if you are using her for more than 1 event and dress changes. She came totally prepared, on time and extremely professional. She says to allot 2 hours for bridal hair and make up and I would stick to that, as it took me nearly that long for each event. The make up she did for me was extremely chic, elegant and gorgeous. And her hair services are just as on point as the makeup. She can execute to whatever look you want, I can promise you that. The only advice I would offer is that you provide detailed guidance as to what you want if you have a specific style/look in mind. She is very welcoming to your thoughts/suggestions and does not mind if you tell her something isn't working. It will save you a lot of time and stress in the end, trust me. Dina - I am so so happy we worked together for my wedding and I would choose you all over again. The value you provide is unbelievable and I feel rest assured that I found the best value! ft, my face looked really weird. But Dina Marie was extremely patient the whole time, and very professional. Since I wasn't sure, I went elsewhere to do trials, but even though they did an awesome job, they were dismissive and unprofessional. Timidly, I called Dina back and chose to book her instead. I am so glad that I did. On the day of the wedding, she was on time (actually a little early). She did my mother's, my sister's, and my makeup. The venue that I had (Stanley House Inn) was screwing things up, so I kept getting stressed out. She kept me calm and laughing, and kept me in the moment of why I was getting married. Because I hadn't eaten breakfast I was about to pass out, and she found food for me, and worked around me cramming my face. After she was finished, she stayed an additional 30 or so minutes to help me get dressed in my wedding dress. I had also bashed my elbow into a dresser, and she stopped my bleeding, and touched it up with makeup so it wouldn't show. And on top of that, my makeup (as well as my mother's and sister's) came out flawless!!! I felt so beautiful. If I could do it all over again, she would definitely be my makeup artist!!!

Her major talent is being able to make the makeup look very natural and elegant although she was still able to glam it up for the reception with a smokey gray eye and neutral lip that I absolutely loved. She was a pleasure to work with and even negotiated price based on my budget which was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend her if you are going for a very elegant, natural look! I was also very happy with my hair looks through the events, however some did not come out exactly as I wanted but they still looked good. The day of the wedding, Dina called to say she was running late to the venue. We got started with hair and makeup about half an hour later than planned, but I had built an extra hour into the getting ready time line, just in case, so I wasn't too concerned. She worked well through the rush and the bustle of my bridesmaids and finished with plenty of time.

The morning of the wedding, I was informed by text message at 9:15am that due to unforeseen circumstances; the makeup artist had no child care available for her children the day of my wedding.
Because there were no other child care options in place, Dina bought her children (a newborn infant and a young son) to the bridal suite. At this point, I had no choice but to allow Dina to complete the makeup services with her children present because I had no other recourse or options the day of the wedding. Having the children there caused a number of challenges. It was difficult to for the photographers to navigate around the children or stroller and get necessary candid images. The photos that we had hoped to have of the bridesmaids changing into bridesmaid attire and helping me get dressed were no longer appropriate with young male children present.
Additionally, a lack of communication from Dina about the estimated time it would take to complete the services and what time to start led to many delays on the wedding day. Since everyone’s makeup was not done on time, it led to the bride’s makeup being rushed at the end and the bride and bridal party missing out on pre wedding group photos.
Despite all the confusion behind the scenes on my big day, Dina was able to complete my makeup for my wedding day. The only problem I had with the makeup application was my eyeliner, which was running and smeared up under my eyes after my 35 minute ceremony. A complete clean up and touch up was necessary.
Unfortunately , based on my wedding day experience, I cannot recommend the services of the aforementioned.
