Having built a relationship with her in the months leading up to the wedding, on the day of, I felt I could rely on her completely, both logistically and emotionally. Her range is impressive, but I am especially fond of the way she captures the moment as it is, the moment often and easily be lost by lesser photographers. And though she shines in candid work, she is stellar with more editorial shots, too. I have never seen someone’s work whose composition was so consistently rock-solid. When she shoots, she has an eye for the whole photo, of course—but her eye is just as keen on shooting at the heart of her clients, at what they are actually feeling. In addition to capturing the spirit of the moment, her technical skill is rock solid. There’s no fussing around or wasting time with the camera. She knows what she’s doing. The images themselves are thoughtfully composed (as I mentioned) but they also make you and your people look realllllllllly good. She can shoot in any conditions, and the way she treats color is flawless. And no matter where you get married, or what your budget is, she’ll make your venue and your wedding look good, too. She is flexible and creative with timing, and will work with you to make sure photography has exactly the role you want it to in your wedding: if you want to invest time doing editorial shots, she’ll use your time wisely and expertly and deliver the work you want. If you want to spend all of your time with your guests and only want candid shots, she can make that happen. If you want some balance in between, maximizing time with your guests but still having some fun with the camera, she will work with you and your planner to make a timeline that feels right, and she will subtly check in with you day-off to see if you need any changes made. From an administrative standpoint, Dina is reliable, communicative, organized, and professional. I never wondered what was going on, and she made herself available to me for any questions.
