I was so happy to find Dining under the starrs with Lilly and Brian. Originally, I was working with another Caterer and it fell through. So with less than a year until my wedding, ...
we were scrambling trying to find the perfect caterer and if you know anything about planning a wedding, when it's less than a year away it is crunch time! Many of the caterers were booked up, but I was BLESSED to have found DUTS.
From the beginning they were so professional, so responsive, so helpful, and incredibly flexible. We organized a tasting and it was such a treat, it was difficult to choose from the items they cooked for us. Ultimately we chose chicken and waffles, and stuffed mushrooms as appetizers. For the mains, we got a garden salad, saffron rice, chimichurri steak, and honey glazed salmon. Mmmmmm! I can still taste them now.
Our guests were ranting and raving about the dishes. And not only did they taste delicious, Lilly and Brian really helped bring my vision to life of having a colorful plate. The garden salad was vibrant with radishes, carrots, tomatoes, etc. The saffron rice was bright yellow. It was truly a beautiful plate.
Of course the food did not disappoint. But a bonus was that Lilly and Brian are just such awesome people. They bring good vibes, are focused, truly no stress folks. They also expressed their gratitude for being able to provide the meal for us on our special day, which was so sweet to hear! Their gratitude was contagious, they truly are such genuine people. And their staff was stellar too!
Throughout the whole time working with DUTS, from beginning to end, it was seamless. I couldn't be happier to have chosen them for our special day.
Thank you Lilly and Brian!
Choosing wedding vendors can be tough and I relied heavily on reviews to do so. Luckily, Dining Under the Starrs already had so many positive reviews, it was an easy decision. I en...
ded up hiring them because of those reviews and because I liked that they were a husband and wife team. One of the BEST decisions we made! Not only is their food so delicious (rave reviews from everyone who attended) but Lily and Brian are just awesome people who we enjoyed getting to know and were happy to have be with us on our wedding day! They are kind, communicative, and fun, plus their food is just fantastic! After our tasting we surprised ourselves with our final menu choices because of how good the food was. The tasting was one of my favorite experiences because we got to hang out with Brian and Lily in an intimate setting and they made the whole experience so special. The day of the wedding, everything went off without a hitch and we got so many compliments on the meal. Couldn't be happier with Dining Under the Starrs and I hope you choose them too! You won't be disappointed.
Lilly and Brian were wonderful to work with and delivered top notch feed and service for our wedding. Their professionalism and attention to detail were noticed by our guests and w...

It turned out to be truly amazing and such a wonderful day. We loved how communicative they were when a problem arose and always helped us find a solution. They were super on top o...
f it and very helpful / hands on all day. Everyone from the servers to the bartenders were the hardest workers and truly the best to work with!
We had originally planned a 70-person wedding and were going to have the catering done by DUTS for that event. However, due to the resurgence in COVID cases, we cancelled and decid...
ed to have a microwedding instead. Lilly was very responsive and accommodating to our change in plans and she worked with us to coordinate the private chef option. We had a beautiful evening with DUTS cooking us a private meal and providing service during the meal. Lilly and Brian were amazing during the entire event. They are extremely kind, caring and professional. And the food was DELICIOUS!
Thank you so much for helping to make our day special!
Beyond expectations!
Many versions of the unexpected led to some last minute plans for our event. I am so thrilled that Dining Under the Starrs happened to have availability becau...
se they created an experience that we and our guests will never forget!
First, the food was INCREDIBLE!! We were hesitant to choose buffet service, but so glad we did. They made it a priority to get the party eating together and that they did! I am sure that the venue offered less than ideal circumstances but you would never know with how perfectly the dinner turned out. Our guests are STILL talking about it!
As if the 5-star dinner was not enough, the staff were so pleasant to work with and watching them was like witnessing a professionally orchestrated symphony.
The only thing I would do differently is reach out to them sooner. Rentals can be provided and they have great ideas for organizing the event. I had already started a rentals agreement with another company and just made it unnecessarily difficult on myself. Next time I will definitely let Dining under the Starrs do what they clearly do best..
We will absolutely be reaching out to them again for future events and HIGHLY recommend them for yours as well!
Excellent food and very responsive team of professionals.
Dining Under the Starrs came recommended to me by a friend, but I'd not had any knowledge of the owners or the business prior to this experience. I should also note that I have pl...
anned many events from weddings to fundraisers, so have some experience with caterers.
Dining Under the Starrs exceeded all of my expectations, and I can unequivocally state that I would use them again in a heartbeat. With the pandemic, I was not as organized as I normally am, but was met with patience and kindness with every question I asked. Lilly, the owner, was responsive, flexible and was able to work with me to provide the best options for my guests. She guided me with her experience and the outcome was perfect. I had rave reviews from all who had her food and my husband and I both agree that it was fantastically delicious!
I also think it's important to note that the follow up the day of the event was exemplary. For this event, meals were delivered to guests doors - and there were two follow up calls to ensure that the right guest got the right food - which they did.
I have only good things to say about this business and highly recommend it for any event.
The Starrs are just awesome to work with. Their catering is beautifully and uniquely curated, making your event one of a kind. I hosted a fun bbq-picnic themed party that guests ra...
ved about and went back for more. Even with a simple theme it was beautifully presented, and they worked with my budget.
They are thorough, responsive and flexible. For your special day I couldn’t recommend a better caterer to trust to do the best job.

estly say I've never had a bite that wasn't short of mind blowing amazing! Knowing the Starrs, you will always receive the freshest ingredients with maximum flavor. It is clear that every bite you take is made with real love and true passion. Brian and Lily put so much thought and care into the ingredients and flavor profile and it's reflected in the work of art that they create for their guests.

of mind on such a big day of your life!
After our pre-wedding tasting with Brian and Lilly, we knew the food would clearly be a big hit at our wedding. What we didn't expect was that we'd fall in love with everything else they'd prepared for us that day, too--including the centerpieces, place settings, and the drinks. We had planned to just have beer and wine options, but after tasting the cocktails that day, we knew we had to have them at our wedding and we actually had them do our centerpieces as well.
During and for months following our wedding day, friends and family continued to rave about our wedding food and drinks as well as how smoothly our transitions went (potentially chaotic due to having a small venue to transform from ceremony to dinner to dancing), thanks hugely to our catering team.
Brian and Lilly's vibrant personalities, flexibility, and professionalism made planning our wedding a breeze. They were patient and so dedicated to working with us to create our dream menu and layout. Dining Under The Starrs curates an absolutely perfect day.
Seriously, book them. You will be so happy.
Dining Under the Starrs is a stellar (pun intended) caterer! They customized an impeccable menu for my husband's and my wedding - consisting of food plucked from the ground days ju...
st prior (they've been doing "farm to table" since before "farm to table" was a thing), edible flowers, the juiciest grilled chicken we'd ever tasted, and appetizers that were the talk of the town following our eventful marriage ceremony. Their service was everything you'd hope for (didn't have to think about a thing - they even printed beautiful menu cards for our tables), and the food beyond memorable. In addition to our wedding, we've attended other events by The Starrs and HIGHLY suggest you ask about their gumbo and beverage options. For a day to remember, and food that is simply gorgeous and certain to leave you satisfied and wanting for more opportunities to work with them (here are some ideas: vow renewals, birthday parties, baby showers, new job celebrations, work events, book releases, promotion parties - you name it), sign them up!

afted for the themes, and they were served beautifully and tasted delicious. They use fresh local ingredients, and your palate will taste the difference. They take pride in the food and how it is prepped and presented. Always a pleasure to attend their events. Excellent service, food, and drinks equals a WIN. I would highly recommend them for catering your next event.
