If you're looking for a DJ for your wedding or an event, hire Dave! He was so easy to work with, walked us through everything, helped us navigate song choices and lengths, and was an incredible MC. Our dancefloor was a blast with his DJing and all of our guests said they had so much fun and he was the best DJ they had heard at a wedding! Even with our postponement from July 2020 to September 2022, he made the transition feel flawless and kept in touch throughout. We feel truly lucky to have had all of our vendors be so amazing

My husband I booked DJ Paul from Dionne Entertainment for our wedding on 6-25-22. Leading up to booking, Dave (I believe he's the owner) chatted with me on the phone answering my many questions. After booking, I heard from Paul about five months prior to our wedding. He sent me a questionnaire to fill out going over all the music/emcee details for the day. We chatted about the questionnaire/all the wedding details about three weeks before the wedding, but it probably could have been earlier if I had gotten the form over earlier. I picked out all the songs myself, but I believe they are super willing to help if you’re stuck! During our phone conversation he helped us hone in on all the details. For the actual day of the wedding, Paul made all the announcements I had hoped for and was super flexible/willing to change things last minute. I had to take a couple songs off my “Do not Play” as the older generation was begging for a few select songs, and he squeezed them in. He also squeezed in random requests I kept asking him for. I felt like every 10 minutes I was over there pestering him, but he wasn’t fazed and was so ready to roll with the punches! Because of all the requests, a couple songs on my “Must Play” weren’t played, but that is 100% my fault for having to squeeze in other random songs. Our dance party was AMAZING! The dance floor was going all night, and I heard from so many guests that it was the best dance floor. My only complaint is that during my sister’s speech done with my cousin (they came up with a song that they performed together for their joint speech) my sister’s mic didn’t work, so my cousin seemed to be the only one singing. My sister was a bit sad, as they had spent so much time crafting the lyrics and rehearsing. It was definitely a fluke thing and despite that situation I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dionne Entertainment/DJ Paul for weddings and events. They were a pleasure to work with. Dave did such a great job as the DJ for our wedding. He was very responsive in advance of our wedding, sent us a very detailed questionnaire to make sure he understood exactly what we were looking for, and, most importantly, made sure that our guests had a blast the day of! He even set up the sound system for our ceremony even though we had live music playing for that portion of the day. We were looking for a pretty laid back DJ and didn't want to do a lot of the traditional wedding things at our reception (no big entrance, no traditional dances, etc.), and we are so appreciative that Dave listened to what we were looking for and just focused on making sure our guests were having fun and dancing all night!

We hired Dave for our wedding due to his extensive experience at our venue, and exceptional reviews both online, and from our venue. Prior to the wedding, Dave was extremely easy to work with, and quick to respond to questions. The ceremony sound was excellent. Dave played all the right songs, at the right time, set up a wireless mic for our officiant, and set up a standing mic for our readers. The volume and timing were perfect, and Dave did a good job explaining to us ahead of time what to expect. We were a little disappointed by a few things (it's so hard to choose a DJ online, which is the only reason I'm leaving this review): - Dave forgot to make a requested announcement for guests to put away their phones prior to the ceremony. - The cocktail hour playlist looped, so 2 songs were played twice in 1 hour - During dancing, entire songs were played start to finish, which seemed a little weird. I'm not sure what's normal, but I had expected songs to be mixed where 1 song flows into the next. - Dave didn't play a lot of the songs on our dancing playlist. To be fair, I did tell him he could exercise some artistic license, but I didn't realize that would mean replacing Blackstreet, Daft Punk and Glass Animals with Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry. Oh well. - Our guests told us later that none of their song requests were played. Overall, we were happy to have Dave's audio expertise and equipment, but feel that he dropped the ball on some of the details. Everyone has off days though, and most of our complaints were very minor - our guests still had a wonderful time, and we are probably the only ones that noticed any of this. We had people on the dance floor all night.

Paul is an excellent DJ! He was very easy to work with and if we had any last minute changes he was able to incorporate them into our day seamlessly. He truly made our day feel like it was about us and the music we liked and our guests danced the night away!

Rob came with our wedding package at Stone Mountain Arts Center -- and we are glad he did! Rob was an amazing DJ for our wedding. He sent us a thorough questionnaire to understand what we wanted prior tot he wedding, was patient with changes and revisions :), and overall just knows how to manage music for a good party!! We wanted people to be on the dance floor all night long and Rob made it happen!

Dave was an amazing DJ for our wedding! My dad and I had an untraditional father/daughter dance where we did a mashup of 3 different songs and Dave worked with us to make sure it went off smoothly. Everything was great! I would highly recommend Dave as a wedding DJ to anyone! Thank you!

Dave exceeded our expectations as our DJ! He played everything we asked for. The ceremony music was perfect and he had our officiant set-up with a microphone so all our guests could hear everything clearly. We were looking for someone low key and he delivered 100%. During the reception he adjusted his music playlist based on what our guests were enjoying and had everyone on the dance floor the entire time! He was so helpful with helping us set a schedule for the night. All of our guests commented on great he was and how much fun they had on the dance floor! He was professional and a pleasure to work with! I would recommend him to anyone looking for an experienced, flexible and top notch DJ!

Rob was the DJ for our wedding at Stone Mountain Arts Center in December 2018 and he was AWESOME! He kept the party rocking all night, had guests of all ages excited to be on the dance floor and was very kind and easy to work with. Communication leading up to the wedding was great. Would definitely recommend Rob!

Rob was absolutely fantastic. He was so professional and fun. When I asked him to help out with a long standing family joke involving the music, he was right on board and played along. That meant the world to me and my father. The music was lively and exactly what we wanted. We would highly recommend him!

Dave did an incredible job both leading up to and at our wedding. He was easy to work with as we made and our plans, and most importantly, he was incredible on the day of! The playlist was perfect, the timing was exactly right, and he kept the dance floor packed all night. We would highly recommend him to anyone!

Dave Dionne did an outstanding job for our wedding at Point Lookout. He was very professional throughout the entire process and was willing to have multiple calls to explain his experience, style, and review details such as do not play lists. Once the wedding began Dave performed flawlessly for the entire event. Whether it was music for the ceremony, announcing events, or introducing members of the wedding party for speeches, Dave nailed every aspect. Once it was time for everyone to start dancing Dave maintained the perfect level of energy to keep the dance floor packed until the night was over. If you are considering going with Dave we absolutely recommend him, and could not have been happier with the job he did at our wedding!

Our DJ Dave from Dionne Entertainment was amazing! we hired Dave for our ceremony cocktail hour and reception and he knew our venue so well and everything was set up perfectly. He kept all of our guests dancing all night long. He played the best music and so many songs that were important for my husband and I to hear at our wedding! our guests couldn't say enough about Dave. we would highly recommend him for your wedding!

We booked Dionne Entertainment for our wedding and Paul Leclair was our DJ. He was great!! Once we talked to him on the phone we were instantly at ease, he clearly knew what he was doing and it was apparent during our phone calls and especially at our wedding! He had a lapel mic for our Pastor, and even had dance floor lights (we didn't know that was an option as they were new, what a pleasant surprise!) He's extremely nice, upbeat, and the guests loved him! I'd book him in a heartbeat for our next event that requires a DJ. Thanks Paul!!

Dave was great to work with when we were looking for a local DJ. After booking with Dave's company, we were matched with John for our Wedding DJ, who was fantastic! We were particular about when/ what songs were played; with our own requests as well as guest requests. John did a great job getting everything set up for us and executing.

DJ Dionne made sure our perfect day went off without a hitch! Whether it was setting up microphones for the ceremony, or letting us send some obscure family favourites via mp3 for him to play during the reception, he was accommodating and helped every step of the way! Our guests loved the music, but more importantly, so did we! (Also, thank you especially for announcing that the Yankees lost in the middle of the reception, it still brings a smile to all our faces!!!)

Joey was great! We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at different places around our venue and there was lovely music each step of the way! He also had a great pulse-check on the timeline of the evening so ensure we didn’t miss any dances or other things we had planned. I highly recommend Dionne Entertainment.

Dave did an amazing job as the DJ for our wedding. A few days before we filled out a questionaire online that laid out all of the music for the event. We had him booked for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Everything went as planned and smoothly. We even had a quick change of songs right before the ceremony, and he made sure that it happened exactly as we wanted! We had asked for some specific genres during the cocktail hour and dinner, and with only a small list of our favorite (some obscure) artists, he put together a great mix that had us constantly stopping to say "oh yes! I love this song!". The reception was filled with popular songs that everyone recognized, and he accommodated all of our guests requests so that the dance floor wasn't empty for a single second. He was very friendly and we chatted with him for a while before the reception. He even checked in with us a few times to make sure we were happy. He also has a great voice for radio and we had a lot of fun while he was announcing the wedding party. Thanks Dave for making sure we had a wedding that we wouldn't forget!

Dave was awesome! We just had our wedding this weekend and we had the best time. He worked with our vendors and knew our venue well to get there early enough in time and ensured everything went smoothly. He knew when to pump the crowd up and how to keep it going. Thanks Dave!

Dionne Entertainment was amazing. Larry, our DJ, listened to exactly what my husband and I wanted for our big day and adapted the music to our guests tastes. They were available on short notice after our initial DJ bailed on us and I couldn't have been any happier with the turnout. I am extremely thankful that I was able to find them!

Our DJ, Marcel, of Dionne Entertainment truly made our reception the perfect occasion that it was. He was extremely helpful during the planning process with ideas, and his calm personality alleviated a lot of stress in planning the big day! The day-of could not have gone more smoothly. Not only was he our fantastic DJ, but he was our MC, and worked well with our day-of coordinator. He had so many amazing ideas, and was just as excited about our ideas too! We had Joe for our wedding dj and we were so happy! His father Dave was the dj and my parents wedding and you can tell that the dj talent runs in the family. Joe was so energetic and fun! He was great at following our list of requests and doing our many family traditions. He also was very flexible and helped us stay on track of our reception schedule that we had planned out and nicely came up to us and checked in with us during the reception. He made sure everything ran smoothly and was great at reading the crowd when picking music. My husband and I never left the dance floor thanks to him! Highly recommend!

Marcel Leclair was just what I hoped to have in a DJ for my wedding! He was incredibly flexible, helpful, positive and great to work with. He made sure that we knew he was there to lend a helping hand if we ever needed it – he even helped my mother fix the curtains at our reception when they got messed up! He was clearly incredibly experienced and brought great insight to the table when we were indecisive about the order of events and the song choices. I would highly recommend him for your wedding!

My husband and I planned our wedding in Phippsburg, ME from our home south of Boston, MA. We were a little worried because we had never met Dave in person before the big day. We had nothing to worry about! Dave was on point - he was professional, extremely responsive and very easy to work with. Dave made me feel like he had everything under control (which he definitely did!), and instilled confidence in me during the final days of planning. Everyone had a blast on the dance floor and Dave was awesome. I would definitely recommend his team!!!

Dave Was the DJ at our wedding on 8-12-17. I can not say enough good things about the job he did ! The music choices kept everyone on the dance floor all night and he was very professional. Highly recommended !!!

Unfortunately, my experience with Dave was very poor. From his failure to communicate (without my prompting him), him ruining a surprise for my groom, to poor music choices and lack of enthusiasm, we were left wishing we had done more research and chosen a different DJ.

We worked with Marcel for our wedding, and he did a stellar job. Our venue required him to set up in four separate areas for the ceremony, dinner, dancing, and cocktail hour, and everything was seamless. Including live musicians and our officiant in an outdoor ceremony setting, not easy to make sound good and he did great!! His announcing was excellent, and music choice perfectly combined our requested moods and artists with complementary music that he chose. Everyone was dancing at the reception, and there was an excellent variety of music. He took requests from our guests, and checked in with my husband and I frequently throughout the night to make sure we were aware of the flow and pacing he was facilitating. We would recommend him in a heartbeat! Thank you Marcel!!

Dave did a great job getting people of all ages onto the dance floor and keeping people dancing. He was professional and kept all the planned events on track (first dance, parent dance, cake cutting). He also mixed in a few slow songs during the night which was a nice surprise.

Rob came to us via our wedding venue contract with SMAC. We thought he did an excellent job playing music that met well with our ambiance. We had given him some odd instructions like "play this song at X time in the evening" and I felt like those songs came on exactly when we wanted them. He was very professional and efficient in getting everyone ready to be introduced and all around we were very pleased to have had him there for our wedding day!

Dave was the DJ at our wedding on October 1st and he was incredible. He is very accommodating with requests and he truly knows how to get a crowd going. My husband and I met with him prior to our wedding and I could not believe how knowledgeable he was. We were super confident that he would be amazing at our wedding and we were correct. Thank you very much, Dave, for making our celebration THAT much better with your energy. And thank you for passing the microphone to a few our our guests to sing...especially my 11 year old nephew! You are THE BEST.

Paul Leclair was the DJ for our September wedding this year, and I would recommend him to anyone! He was absolutely fantastic from the time that we first met with him to begin going over song choices to the very last song he played at our wedding reception. He was incredibly professional and genuinely excited about his job both times that we met with him prior to the wedding day. His confidence and attention to detail made us feel relaxed and comfortable about our big day. Even when I was being indecisive and making changes to song choices the day before the wedding, he didn’t mind at all! On the day of the wedding, he DJ’d our ceremony as well as the reception. He knew exactly how to pump up the guests before the bridal party introductions and kept the energy going the whole night. His original ideas for the bouquet toss and garter toss were the talk of the night and had everyone laughing. Several of the guests came up to us that night to say that it was the best wedding they had been to in a long time – I believe this was mostly due to Paul. He is absolutely fantastic, and anyone who chooses him for their DJ will not be disappointed!

We had Marcel as our DJ. He kept track of everything and made sure everything transitioned smoothly. I spoke to him on the phone before the wedding and he reviewd every detail to make sure it would be what we wanted. I didn't have many requests as far as songs go but the music he played was perfect. People have been aking me for my playlist - I've just referred them all to Marcel.

I am overwhelmed with how amazing Dave Dionne did at our wedding!! Upon first meeting him, and checking out his accomplishments, I almost thought he was kidding with how much he has done. He absolutely was not! I was semi-late to the ceremony, but I heard he handled the processional very well with keeping the song going! He played every single song I requested and kept our guests dancing all night long! I couldn't have asked for a better DJ! I highly recommend him to anyone looking for entertainment for any event! Dave provided the entertainment for our reception and also our ceremony. My husband composed the music for the ceremony and Dave was very open to that! It went perfectly. He did a great job of transitioning from "dinner music" to "dance music". Dave did and amazing job of making sure the whole night was non stop dancing- just how we wanted it! He was very receptive to all of our input and made the night wonderful.

Marcel from Dionne Entertainment recently djed at our wedding and he was amazing. He played all the songs we wanted and did an excellent job setting the tone for a fun night and keeping it flowing. He was pleasant to work with and made it so I never once had to worry about the music. He pumped up the crowd during our introductions, but kept it cool as we wanted him to during the cake cutting. He was just perfect. I would highly recommend him and Dionne Entertainment.

My husband and I got married this past June on Peaks Island, Maine. We had Marcel as our DJ, and I cannot recommend him enough! We met with him before the wedding, and he has a gift to make the wedding day schedule truly unique to the couple. His music selection was great, especially when you have a large mix of ages. We are very happy how our wedding day went, and Marcel was a big part of why it was such a success!

We planned our wedding in Maine from Arizona and Dave was a fantastic choice for a DJ. He was very professional and played an amazing set of music as well as setting up a microphone and speakers for my uncle's acoustic guitar. I would highly recommend his services for any wedding or large event.

Dan DiBiase was the DJ at our wedding reception in Freeport and he did an amazing job. He met with us beforehand, listened to everything we wanted, was very professional, and did a great job playing a variety of music. Throughout the night, people of all ages were dancing, and our guests loved him!! We got many compliments. I would definitely recommend working with him.

Dave Dionne is an amazing DJ. He was professional as well as fun. He worked with our venue to set up everything he needed. From a few suggestions and exclusions that we gave him, he played an amazing set of music!

Our guest lived the music. Joseph was great, very nice and polite. He put exactly the songs we wanted asked the right questions, was attentive and just overall very nuce with our guests. With us being from Montreal we could not meet Joseph prior to our wedding but it didn't matter he's a pro. Always responded quickly to our emails. He was not cheesy like some MC's can be I would definitely recommend him and his team.

Joe did a great job at our wedding, hands down. Everybody commented on his artful choices for pre-ceremony music, all entrances went off without a hitch, Joe's emceeing was effective but tasteful, and all of our friends were on the dance floor all night. Joe was flexible with timing during the night, was very responsive in the planning stages, and was a total sweetheart the day of the wedding.

We looked all over the internet and contacted many friends and family before we finally bumped into DJsmaine.com. We were then setup with Marcel Leclair. He was simply AMAZING. We met before the wedding to discuss songs and the schedule. Everything went so smoothly because the DJ was there to keep us on schedule with cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc. The mic he provided was clipped on to the officiant and out of sight but everyone could still hear us through the rain. The music was perfect. He had the perfect amount of humor and energy.

I brought one of my bridesmaids with me to meet Dave. Right away I knew we were going to have fun. He played music at our ceremony and reception. I was approached during the wedding and after about how fun and great the music was. He kept our dance floor packed all night! I was helpful and funny and know how to have a great time! He was a great help by supplying a small microphone for our officiant to use at the ceremony and had great lighting at the reception. Highly recommend Dave!

He was good. Messed up on a couple of the groomsmen names but overall was really good. Very friendly and played what we asked. Didnt fall into the temptation of playing anything that was on our Do Not Play List.

I used James Dionne as my DJ. He's just starting to learn, so he was half price as his dad and brother. He did a great job. He asked me how things were various times during the reception, which was nice. He also played all the songs I wanted and even had a light show.
