WOW where do we begin? Hiring Laura and Dakin was perhaps one of the BEST investments we made for our wedding. From our initial consultation, Laura was so warm and personable and t...
ruly listened to the vision we had in mind. We wanted a video that wasn’t just a montage of the two of us, but captured the love and feeling of our friends and family throughout the day. Boy, did they deliver. Laura and Dakin worked seamlessly with the rest of our vendors and captured everything we wanted and more. Their talent and professionalism is unmatched. Communication was easy (hard to find in vendors!!) Their presence day-of was unobtrusive yet comforting, allowing us to just be ourselves and not have to feel awkward in front of the camera. The final product is pure art, a heartfelt look at the most special day of our lives. Thank you Laura and Dakin for sharing your talents with the world and giving us a memory we can share with our families for years and years!
We worked with Laura and Dakin for our wedding last year. We had to postpone the wedding a year due to pandemic and they were very accommodating and professional. They have been ex...
tremely responsive and attentive throughout the process. We loved the final product, the highlight video so so much! We highly recommend the direct light studio!
Direct Light Studios went above and beyond for my sister's wedding. They were professional, seamless, and wonderful. They captured everything we could have ever wanted and then som...
e! We were able to get ready and go through the entire day with ease and never were bothered or felt like there were cameras on us. It was all very in-flow and they were just SO good at their work! Then, the finished product, was worth every penny and then some. I would recommend them for your wedding video over and over again. Treat yourself to this gift of a lifetime. Laura and Dakin were such an incredible team and such lovely humans - we truly enjoyed working with them and seeing their incredible finished works too.
Direct Light Studios' cinematic style is beautiful and sets them apart from other wedding videographers. Looking back, we can't believe videography was not in our original wedding ...
budget spreadsheet. It was the best decision to include this, and we thought of it as a gift to our future selves. And gosh is that true! We will cherish the film forever.
I work in the creative industry, project managing super bowl commercials and brand videos, and the talent level that Laura and Dakin, owners of Direct Light Studios, bring to the t...
able is NEXT LEVEL. Plus they were a joy to work with, making me and my husband feel comfortable in front of the cameras, and working seamlessly alongside our photographers Scott & Dana.
My thoughts on the end result: I absolutely love it. Our highlight film brings me to tears! Watching it makes my heart so full of happiness I can't even describe it. It reminds me that my wedding really was the best day!
Thank you to Laura and Dakin, from the bottom of my heart and from my husband and our entire families, for this gift.
I shared our film with my mom who said she might watch it every morning to make her heart happy and filled with our love! I will be doing the same!
Laura and Dakin are beautifully talented and I am forever grateful for deciding to hire them! The BEST DECISION, I would make it again. Everyone needs a wedding film, and you're lucky if you get to work with Direct Light Studios!
They were so fun and easy to work with! And I love how our video turned out.
We were in utter awe of the amazing work Dakin and Laura did in capturing our special day. The video they created of our wedding day is something that we will cherish for a lifetim...
e. It allows us to relive our day over and over as it captured every raw emotion we experienced.
From their professionalism to their friendliness and creativity, we couldn’t recommend Direct Light Studios enough. Their communication from the first email to the delivery of our video didn’t go unnoticed. We always knew their plan of action, what their status was and felt their communication was constantly above par.
Their hard work and determination to capture every aspect of your special day is absolutely extraordinary and you will not be disappointed!
My husband I live 6 hours away from Direct Light Studios and their service was so amazing we used them for TWO of our daughters weddings! One wedding was out of state and one out o...
f the country!! During preparation for both weddings (2years apart) ,Laura and Dakin were always available for questions we all had. They were several days early to both weddings- securing their own transportation and accommodations- to scope out the areas and be prepared for amazing footage and drone footage. Landmarks, architecture and customs as well as capturing intimate and special moments of the bride and groom made the entire videos special and unique. We have two more daughters to marry off and we will invite Direct Light Studios for those weddings as well! Obviously, we highly recommend them!
Gorgeous work. Great shots and editing. Lighting was perfect. Camera people were stealth. Intimate moments captured. True cinematography artists. Truly the best ever! Captured my...
daughter’s wedding perfectly. So glad DLS was there.
They went above and BEYOND to capture so many details and aspects of our relationship. I couldn’t believe the amount of focus, energy and detail that they put into our videos. They...
made us feel so loved and our videos have all the feels. I can’t recommend them enough!
Laura and Dakin were so easy to work with, and flexible with our busy schedules. We were referred to them by our photographers, who had worked with them before. My husband and I we...
re living in different cities at the time, and they were able to accommodate our needs by meeting with us through video chat, but it didn’t take away from how comfortable we felt with them at all. If anything, it really showed us that they cared about what we are looking for and what we needed. On the day of the wedding, they were in the background mostly, but present to capture every moment. Something that was important to us was that the videographers were able to capture the wedding without clashing with the photographers, and Laura and Dakin were just so professional the entire day. The video they produce was more than we could have asked for, and I’ve watched it over and over to relive our wedding day. Our friends and family have told us that they were so impressed with the quality of their work too! They were some of the best vendors we worked with. You won’t regret working with Laura and Dakin!
I don't even know where to begin...from the very first interaction I made with Laura and Dakin they blew me away. I had ZERO doubt they were the right ones to capture the most prec...
ious and special moments of our wedding day! Their professionalism is beyond and we had numerous guests at our wedding comment on how kind and considerate these two were throughout the entire evening. Not to mention the final product...is something to be cherished for a lifetime. I will 100% lean on these two again to capture more special moments down the road. Their work is stunning but the icing on the cake is who they're as individuals...they will blow you away! Absolutely the BEST!!!

y spent on my wedding valued, and a once in a lifetime day relivable. I recommend them as an integral foundation of one the best days of your life!
Laura and Dakin are far more than just wedding videographers. They are artists who pay attention to and capture each detail beautifully. They are extremely professional, and you ...
know you can count on them to give 100% on your wedding day. We received our wedding videos MONTHS before I expected them. Most of my friends who hired wedding videographers have had to wait 6+ months to receive their wedding videos, NOT US!
Not only did they create beautiful videos for us that we will cherish forever, they went above and beyond to make ours perfect. Our officiant mispronounced our last name when presenting us as husband and wife. We of course saw this on our film and asked them if it was possible to cut it out completely. After they reviewed the footage to see if it was possible, they came back and told us that they could do better. They offered to have the officiant rerecord our introduction and edited it in. We were thrilled and could not believe they would do all of that for us! I cannot recommend them enough. A Direct Light Studios wedding video is absolutely the best investment you will make for your wedding day.
Laura and Dakin are phenomenal. First, there is something a little romantic about a husband wife duo filming your own wedding. But from the first time I spoke to them, I knew we m...
ade the right decision. I was on the fence hiring a videographer, but I really wanted someone to record the ceremony & toasts (especially because my brother was the officiant and we made our ceremony very personal). After going down a 5 hour rabbit hole of watching kind of cheesy portfolio videos, I stumbled upon Direct Light Studios. Their style was exactly what I wanted - something that captured the people, energy and emotions of the day. In hindsight - I wouldn't have given hiring them a second thought! Our video is amazing - even the friends we shared it with said it made them teary eyed. The edits were incredible - the story they crafted with the highlight is how I want to remember the day. AND the way they captured the scenery - we loved our venue and the light, and I am so grateful that they were able to cover our day and help us remember the love and joy!!
These guys are amazing -- we hired them as last-minute videographers because we wanted to record the ceremony and speeches. They wound up filming the whole event "because the ener...
gy was fantastic and we didn't want to stop." They also became fast friends with our photographers, something I understand doesn't happen often. Their rapport with our vendors, overall professionalism, and eye for unique shots make them one in a million
