Max was so easy to work with, and made our wedding feel like a giant party, which is exactly what we were looking for!! My big request was that he not play the typical songs you hear at every wedding and he nailed it! He was also sooo amazing at reading the crown and feeding off their energy. I did not leave the dance floor all night and our guests could not stop raving about the vibes and energy. I would 1000% recommend Max (DJ Mixwell) for your events!!

We went with Direct Sounds for DJ services at our wedding on 10/18/2024 and we're so glad we did! Giovanny was our DJ and he was a dream! He was very communicative and available to answer all of our questions throughout the planning process. He went over every detail with us that included the schedule and our music preferences where he then curated and shared a spotify playlist for us which we could listen to up until our wedding day! He was on top of keeping us on schedule throughout the reception and brought the best energy to the wedding. People danced ALL NIGHT! He was awesome and would 10 out of 10 reccomend!

We had DJ Matt for our wedding at Stonebridge Manor and he was AMAZING. Seriously cannot say enough great things about him. We had guests come up to us at the wedding and in the days following just to tell us how impressed they were with Matt. His mixing and transitions were so good! Matt is so fun, professional, easy to talk to, responsive, helpful, accommodating and overall just such a wonderful person to have had part of our wedding. He also found us additional lighting upgrades that turned out awesome and perfectly complimented his music. Any couple would be lucky to have DJ Matt as their DJ!

We couldn't have been more thrilled with the DJ services provided by Direct Sounds for our wedding at Stonebridge Manor. Our DJ, Giovanny, was an absolute standout. From the outset, Giovanny exhibited a willingness to collaborate and ensure our day was exactly as we envisioned. Communication was seamless throughout the planning process, and Giovanny expertly adhered to our song preferences, even navigating around our "do not play" list flawlessly. It was impressive to see him honor our requests, even when faced with guest song suggestions that didn't align with our vision. Moreover, Giovanny's consideration extended to the volume of the music, which was a specific concern for me due to noise sensitivity. He struck the perfect balance, ensuring everyone could enjoy the music without it being overpowering. One of the many standout qualities of Giovanny was his remarkable flexibility. Despite my last-minute indecision regarding specific songs for key moments of the evening, such as the cake cutting and entrance music, Giovanny remained patient and supportive, working with me to finalize the details without any added stress. It wasn't just us who noticed Giovanny's exceptional service; numerous guests also took the time to compliment his performance, further affirming his talent and professionalism. In conclusion, we wholeheartedly recommend Direct Sounds, and particularly Giovanny, for any wedding or event. His dedication, flexibility, and skill set him apart, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all involved.

We hired Jeff to DJ our wedding and he was the best. I was super nervous because a DJ can make or break an event. Jeff was professional, competent, knows how to read the room, and kept the party going! I’m extremely picky when it comes to vendors, and would recommend Jeff as a wedding DJ without a doubt!

At our wedding, we had DJ Matt and he was absolutely incredible. He clearly took great note of everything we said during our pre-wedding meeting and in our questionnaire. He was amazing to work with, kind and caring to us and our guests, and easy to communicate with, and made our reception perfect! One word of caution though is that we attended a different wedding with DJ Mike and he was awful. My husband and I were in the bridal and groom's parties and we saw that behind the scenes, he made some really weird and inappropriate comments to the groom and the parties and then there were a good 10 minutes where he wasn't at his booth and there was no music playing. Mike was originally assigned to us, but it was easy to call in and request the change to Matt... and I'm SO happy that we did. But if you are assigned Matt, know that you're in amazing hands!

Direct Sounds was a hit! Our Officiant Ryan was so professional but also hilarious! He did a fantastic job during our ceremony. Our DJ Matt fit our wedding aesthetic perfectly, he had the guests hoppin' with his excellent dance mixes during reception. Highly recommend hiring this vendor!

Absolutely amazing, 10/10 would recommend to anyone. We received so many compliments about the music and reading the crowd to keep people on the dance floor. Jeff made things seamless and a very easy process. He was also very flexible with some last minute changes. You can go as detailed as providing the exact songs you want the whole night but we both are more of “this is the vibe we’re looking for” during each part of the day, and he absolutely killed it. Can’t thank you enough!

DJ Mike was so so great! I was a very picky bride and he did wonderful with taking in all my notes and executing them. The music was so amazing and he even went above and beyond and did a special thing with our music during cocktail hour. The only downside was that he got a little busy before my wedding and was slow with some email responses I needed but no worries! It all worked out and we ended up having a meeting a few days before!

Our DJ, Jason, was provided through our venue and he was absolutely fantastic! He kept things moving throughout the reception and followed all of the guidelines we'd given him prior to the wedding. He played great music that kept people dancing all night, and as a special call-out, the "dancing on the clouds" add-on is so worth it! (I wasn't sure if it would be hokey but it was VERY cool.)

Our experience with direct sounds was nothing short of amazing. Ryan, our officiant, knocked it out of the park. Both my husband and I are not religious, and he created a beautiful nondenominational vow ceremony. Our guests complimented us throughout the whole night. Jeff, our DJ, was amazing! He transitioned between songs with easy and effortlessly guided our party throughout the night!

BOOK WITH JASON!! He was so helpful and amazing to work with. Made the whole experience stress free! He even edited, trimmed, and mixed or first dance song compilations so we could do the "first dance" of our dreams. My family and friends LOVED him!! He even orchrastrated the wedding game we wanted without ever doing it before, and it turned out way better than we could have ever imagined! He even loaned his mic to me when we had a fake one to song our last song of the night! He was always quick to respond, very adaptable, and made last-minute updates a breeze!!! Direct Sounds was recommended to us by our venue, Stonebridge Manor. We decided to go with them and we are so happy we did! We had Joel and he kept the party going all night long! He found creative ways to play strange song requests (like during cocktail hour!) and he played polka for my dad. He was a great DJ and we are so pleased we went with Direct Sounds, would recommend!

Direct Sounds was selected for our wedding in March at the UVX Ranch, Cottonwood, AZ as both the DJ and their Photobooth service. Their professionalism, timeliness, and combo package offered are not to be passed up. The quick communication leading up to the date and elite coordination of the team in conjunction with the Day of Coordinator was beyond expectation, keeping the entire day right on pace. Jeff as the DJ and Danii with the Photobooth were such a perfect pair to assist on our day. They both stepped well into and beyond their role. We really appreciated all the vendors working so seamlessly together in providing for the absolute perfect wedding day. It is highly recommended that they help make your special event just as spectacular. Thank you team!

We had DJ Matt as our DJ at Lindsay Grove in Mesa! He was AWESOME! We had a meeting leading up to the wedding and he was super informative and helpful as we worked together to create a schedule for the day! The dancing was so much fun and kept all our guests engaged. Matt was super helpful throughout the evening and was a pleasure to work with :) The only disappointment was that he played the wrong song for our first dance. (same song, different cover) We had spent a lot of time practicing a specific song and he played a different version so that was a tad bit disappointing. But again, that was our only complaint! Outside of that our experience was fantastic!

My husband & I just got married at Lindsay Grove in Mesa, Az where Direct Sounds DJ Entertainment was a part of my Wedgewood Wedding package. DJ Mike "M-CAT" Cataldi was assigned to our wedding & it couldn’t have been a better match. After filling out our “profile” and details of our ceremony/reception, Mike not only got a better sense of what we were looking for, he was able to perfectly gauge our vision as we were all likeminded native East Coasters. Mike communicated to us the expectations for the event, was responsive to questions and was flexible with last minute changes & additions — from Top 40 hits to Motown classics to old/new school east coast hip hop to the infusion of Cape Verdean culture that integrated KIZOMBA, dancehall/reggae, reggaeton & afrobeats— Mike was the definition of VERSATILE that kept the energy UPBEAT. Though timing slipped away from us during the ceremony and beginning of reception, Mike managed to integrate all of these music genres in less than two hours. Most importantly the dance floor was filled with everyone the entire time regardless of age, gender, or culture. That was important to us. Two families becoming one and I saw that. My husband and I could not be more happier. Thanks again Mike!

DJ David was absolutely incredible for our wedding this past Friday. He made the night for us and our guests. He checked in on us from the minute the reception started till the end of the night. I spent all night on the dance floor and even had David do the electric slide with us. David was the best part of our wedding and I cannot recommend him enough!

Bstarr from direct sounds did an incredible job at our wedding! We had a mixed group- ages and culture wise and he played to the crowd perfectly. He’s an awesome entertainer and kept our guests laughing throughout the night. The planning process was so easy and low stress too. I would recommend them to anyone!

When we were told we would be working with Direct Sounds as our DJ for our wedding package we were so excited to get started with them. We read through reviews and picked Brian a.k.a. DJ Bstarr. His personality and skills kept the party going. From the consultation phone call, until the very end of our wedding we could not ask for more. He was right on que for all of our chosen songs and did a perfect job with all the timing of our chosen songs. We absolutely fell in love wirh him and feel Direct Sounds is so lucky to have him on their team. He checked in with us throughout the night which we thought showed he truly cared. We wanted a hype man and we got it! Direct Sounds was so wonderful to work with. We 100 percent recommend them and would choose them in a heart beat for any other function or party we may have.

DJ Brian Starr with direct sounds was a kick and a hoot! he did a great job dj'g for my daughter's wedding 4-2-22. The wedding was at Legacy Golf course ad he provided songs during the ceremony on the driving range, and was a great emcee during the reception in the Sierra Vista area . He had a great idea called table dash, where the bride and groom take pictures with each table of guests - great idea! Great time had by all! Marianne Compton

Direct Sounds DJs did the music for my wedding and they did an amazing job! We wanted a DJ that played the playlist we made, helped move things along the day of, but also wasn’t on the mic constantly and they delivered! DJ Damien did a great job the day of our wedding and we couldn’t have been happier with the music and how our day went!

DJ Damien was really great to work with! The client portal made the planning process simple and it was user friendly. DJ Damien took care of everything! Our wedding flowed so smoothly because of him! He took care of any special requests we had and he even threw in a couple jokes that had the crowd cracking up. DJ Damien has such great energy and he kept our guests on the dance floor the entire night! Several guests commented on how amazing he was! I highly recommend DJ Damien!

Brides, you can cross DJ off you list because you have found the one! Direct Sounds will give you the wedding of your DREAMS! We worked with Jeff, but I am confident he has trained all his staff to be as top-notch as he is. Let me also quickly add here that my husband (yes, that's so fun to say) is writing HIS OWN review for Jeff because he was THAT amazing! Planning a wedding is exhausting and emotionally/financially draining so do yourself a favor and trust me on this one- reach out to Direct Sounds, lock in the DJ, and move on to the next item on your to-do list!

*Caution Ripped pants may occur* But seriously 2 of my friends ripped their pants from dancing too hard. Me and my wife just got married, and I still have 28 unread texts loaded with videos and pictures of our dance floor. Me and my wife wanted all of our guests dancing and Jeff delivered that request. We had created a playlist for both guest arrival, cocktail hour, and dinner. But gave him full control of the reception, and told him “to feel out the crowd”. Jeff absolutely crushed it. His selection of songs was incredible, picking some throwbacks, all the way to new songs, all while mixing them with smooth transitions. We had so many of our guests complimenting his service! From myself working in the industry and also attending many weddings I’ve seen that DJ’s can make or break your wedding. If you pick Jeff and Direct sounds ( which why wouldn’t you ) you can be assured that you are going to have the best wedding reception that you could possibly have. Jeff thank you so much for all of the great memories that you have given Rachael and I! You made our wedding night everything that we had envisioned and more.

We used Direct Sounds as they were the recommended vendor for our Wedding at Wedgewood Lindsay Grove. What a wonderful experience! DJ Damien was so professional and nice. He totally got "us" as a couple and nailed our music style completely. He also really knows how to read a room and plays songs that encourage people to get up and dance. Damien totally rolled with the changes and impromptu obscure song requests. I was so grateful and he was so nice about it. I knew I didn't need to worry about a thing cause Damien had the MC duties and wedding timeline down. He kept us on track and was so courteous. I can't say enough good things about him. If you are going with a DJ for your big day, book Direct Sounds. They are recommended because they are professionals who KNOW what they are doing!

Jeff was the DJ for our wedding a few weeks ago, and he was simply amazing. He is extremely professional, and experienced! We provided him a playlist of songs just so that he could get a sample of what we liked and he just took that and ran with it. He kept our family and friends dancing on the dance floor the entire night! The flow of our reception was on point and I cannot recommend him enough! Thank you Jeff!

Jeff was amazing to work with! Going into our wedding I did not expect our dance floor to be filled, but I was pleasantly surprised. People I thought would never dance were out on the dance floor! He came up with fun things for us to do and made it so almost everyone was up and dancing! We did a conga line (one of my favorite parts of the night), an anniversary dance and a dance line. I sent him all of my songs only 2 days before as I was behind and he pulled it all together and made the night amazing! We even decided to do a joint garter and bouquet toss only 2 nights before and he did a great job executing my idea! I am very happy with how he delivered the whole night and highly recommend him!

The company was easy to work with-I was 2,000 miles away on the East Coast- they sent out emails in a timely manner and responded back to my inquiries. I can’t even explain how good Jeff Jones was at our wedding. Song after song was so great and people were dancing all night. He read the room so well. Multiple people told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to and I think most of that was due to Jeff.

Jeff was amazing! He was able to improvise and get the crowd hyped up!! I didn’t give him much direction when it came to music, I was overwhelmed with trying to please everyone but that was no problem at all! He knew exactly what to play to get everyone dancing and excited! He was super nice and we got several compliments on his MC skills. Helped me set up a wedding day timeline, made the whole thing custom for us and our group. He is amazing and professional and I would highly recommend him over and over again!!

We went with Direct Sounds since they are contracted by the wedding venue we selected and they were amazing! We meet with DJ Jeff early in our wedding planning- he was easy going and helpful! We were able to set-up a photobooth through them as well- that was awesome and the two attendants at our wedding were great!! The day of we had DJ Tony (the Entertainer) - we had a Skype meeting a few weeks before to get things all squared away. He was easy to talk to, really well-organized and helpful. The day of he was absolutely FANTASTIC: he was flexible when we made some last minute changes (having my husband's daughter be part of our 'grand entrance' -he was quick to adapt and make it work!), he jumped on the dance floor to help us with the electric slide and made the night run smoothly! Would absolutely recommend!!

Direct Sounds DJ Entertainment was absolutely fantastic! They played all the songs we requested at our wedding and did a great job choosing the other music. It has been weeks since our wedding and we are still getting compliments on the great music selection. They were also efficient at managing the special dances and games too. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ. Thank you for making our wedding fun!

DJ Jeff Jones was absolutely fabulous!! We wish we could give him 10 stars!! He was always so responsive all year to tons of questions, played our type of music we requested and did perfectly with intros. He also included a photo booth for free for 3 hours and we got a photo book with a copy of all the pictures. Our guests loved it! The dance party was going so great we gave him a little extra cash to keep the party going past our original planned end time. He was also so much more reasonable than every other DJ when looking through reviews. He really made the whole night! He was by far one of our favorite vendors and we have already referred him to another family member that used him and had the same experience. Thank you Jeff!

Christian was our DJ and was partnered through our venue Antique Wedding House. He gave us an info sheet to fill out and with the minor recommendations and song choices I gave he ran with it and gave us SUCH a great mix of music! Everything was upbeat and perfect. Our guests enjoyed every song. He was also able to keep everything on schedule by coordinating the timing with the venue and despite only having a 3 hour window for the ceremony and reception (with lunch and dancing included), we never felt short on time or rushed.

Our previous DJ double booked us so we had to find a new DJ. We hired DJ Steve Freid from Direct Sounds, he was professional, courteous, and easy to work with. We had several compliments on the music he played. We're glad it worked out the way it did!

Jeff was absolutely, without a doubt, one of (if not the) best wedding DJ I've ever seen. He listened to, respected, and built off all of our music and programming suggestions and did an amazing job at reading the crowd and making sure he played exactly what they wanted. We were constantly being told by guests how unbelievable our DJ was, and without him there is no way that our special day would have been as great as it was. Do yourself a favor: HIRE JEFF AS YOUR WEDDING DJ!!!

We had a tough time picking a DJ for our wedding. The first didn't show up, and the second signed with us and then remembered he had an event already booked. We received Direct Sounds as a recommendation from our venue; The Wigwam. He was professional, early, and kept everyone dancing. Unlike many DJ's today he actually mixed music at the wedding. He was amazing and my guests all raved about him. One of my guests is getting married in Chicago and is going to try and get him to fly out to their wedding.

From the start, my husband and I knew that our friends and family would not be packing the dance floor at our wedding. My husband spent hours creating a play list of all the songs we would enjoy listening to, and that meant something to us. We heard 3 of those songs. The whole night. We did not want any tacky line dance songs and did not request them, yet we heard the YMCA, Cupid Shuffle, and the Cha Cha Slide along with others that we did not ask for. I will admit, our DJ did play the specific songs that we asked for for our first dance, father-daughter dance, cake cutting, etc. However, he did not consult us on what color we would like for the up-lighting he placed around the reception area... he chose my least favorite color ever - purple... when we clearly stated that our colors were navy blue and green. He also said that we would get a monogram lit onto the dance floor, but we never got that because apparently the dance floor was too small. (it wasn't, unless the monogram was supposed to be weirdly huge). Anyway, I understand that maybe he was just trying to get people dancing by playing those songs, and other certain miscommunications may have happened, but that's why you should always double-check with the bride or coordinator first. They probably have good reasons for their requests!!

I LOVED the DJ at my wedding!!!! He was amazing! Even before the wedding when I emailed him with questions, he responded very quickly. On the day of he made things so easy. He already had our music selections ready to play! I would HIGHLY recommend him as your DJ for any event!!!

Our event place use this vendor for their D.J. service. They do a good job. Had a hard time hearing him sometimes and could have been a little more enthusiastic and entertaining. We had dedications go out to family and friends througout the night and he fit them in well! Thanks!

DJ Jeff Jones was the MC for our wedding day. He met with us a couple of weeks before to talk about what we had in mind for our big day. He took all of our suggestions and made them a reality. Our music was perfect, the timing was perfect, the lighting was perfect, just the entertainment in general was perfect. He had so many unique touches that made our wedding feel like one in a million. We are still getting compliments from our guests about our DJ. Jeff made our day so special and we can not thank him enough!

Jeff was an amazing DJ, he kept everyone dancing and happy! Or entire wedding was organized perfectly as he was also the MC, it wouldn't have been perfect with out Jeff. HE was accomodating and listened to our choices, he went above and beyond with our lighting and made my venue look AMAZING!
