Dirk Guidry was the most amazing live painter ever!! The way he paints is so unique, and I am in awe every single time I look at our live painting.
He made sure every important pe...
rson was included in the painting. He took pictures of family members, bridesmaids, and guests throughout the night and even asked how certain people wanted to be posed so that every detail felt personal and intentional.
One of the best parts was that he delivered the finished painting to me the very next morning, so I didn’t have to wait days or weeks to see the final product. It was such a special surprise after the wedding.
He was a huge hit at our wedding, and our guests loved watching him work throughout the night. I would book him again and again, and I’ve already recommended him to so many friends!
Amelia with Dirk Guidry was absolutely phenomenal! We did an in-person consultation and she was so friendly and took the time to really meet us and know what our expectations were....
She showed up with great energy and did a fantastic job -- even hiding in some "Easter Eggs" to find throughout the painting that were meaningful to us. Highly, highly recommend!

Having artist Dirk Guidry paint our son’s recent wedding was a great decision. All of our guests loved viewing the painting while it progressed, and the final product was simply ou...
tstanding! The portrait is a beautiful reminder of our son’s wedding. It is so special. This is the second wedding portrait that Dirk has done for our family. We love him.
From the time we reached out through the delivery of each painting, Dirk was extremely communicative and very easy to work with. Dirk was an amazing presence at both weddings, entertained guests, and interacted easily with everyone. That’s one of the most fun aspects of live painting. It provided great conversation for our guests, as they loved seeing the different stages of the painting being developed and finding themselves on the canvas.
We chose Dirk because we liked the style of his painting and we were AMAZED at the final product he delivered - he captured our sons’ weddings so well, and we are excited that they will both cherish the painting forever!
If you are looking at Dirk as a vendor and trying to justify the cost, let us tell you it is certainly worth it! He is very talented and the product he delivers is something you can keep forever. We highly recommend working with him!
Besides giving your son a cherished and unique gift that will make an amazing conversation starter in your home, the guests will love the artistic element added to the reception—and Dirk captured most in the painting! And in this digital age, it's fun to have something included in your wedding that you can't see the results of immediately, making it even more special to finally see the finished work of art on canvas.
Dirk Guidry is kind, cooperative and INCREDIBLE!

It is well worth it. You will not regret it.

s easily my favorite wedding gift. Not only was our painting one of a kind, looking at it now transports me back to the best night of my life. Dirk captured our guests perfectly and also provided a form of entertainment for them. So many people reached out to me after our wedding saying how the live painting and chatting with Dirk during the evening was part of what made our wedding the most memorable experience. I cannot emphasize enough how much it meant having him at our wedding and I highly recommend contacting him if you are interested in something like this!
Dirk Guidry is AMAZING!
Almost 2 years later - friends and family are still talking about the wedding painter at our daughter's wedding!
We met Dirk at the Wedding Expo and decided...
to include him in the reception - Best decision ever!
It was the hit of the night! Dirk is very personable and everyone enjoyed chatting with him as he did the painting. Also, several of the guests asked to be included in the painting and it is so exciting for them to find themselves in the finished painting! Add Dirk Guidry #TheWeddingPainter to any event you have! You won't be disappointed!

commend him! He is sweet, professional and such a hard worker. I had to bring him a plate of food to eat as he didn't want to stop painting! :) Such a great guy and I cannot till I hang my painting in our home. Thank you Dirk for giving us and our guests something to talk about forever. :)
There are no words to describe Dirk's work! Dirk painted my reception for my wedding on June 22, 2018. It was by far the best and EASIEST decision to get Dirk to paint our special ...
day. Dirk is very responsive to messages, phone calls and texts. Our guests still talk about the "painter at the reception". It definitely is a conversation piece not only after the wedding, but during the reception. We even had several people say they wish they had this for their wedding, but Dirk can take your pictures from your wedding and actually recreate any event you want!! He can even have your painting copied and give it as gifts. I had copies made for my bridesmaids, mother and mother-in-law. my husband and I often sit and look at the painting and just remember how much fun that night was. It is actually better than any picture. If you are on the fence about getting Dirk to paint your reception or any event, DO NOT BE! I promise you will not regret it. Dirk was the absolute best and captured every aspect of our reception.
Dirk was amazing! My guest really enjoyed watching him bring our wedding night to life through paint! Definitely recommend!!

ful work of art and we are beyond pleased with the painting and the experience.
Our guests loved the experience and enjoyed watching Dirk paint. They definitely enjoyed engaging with him! He was not intrusive but somehow he was a natural part of the reception. Dirk took requests from the guests of their preferred location in the painting and their preferred poses. He also picked up on little details that made the painting even more special and personal.
Dirk was very professional and responded promptly to my emails and checked in with me prior to the event. I did not meet him in person until the day of the wedding. But his professionalism and responsiveness made me feel at ease and I knew I could let go and trust him to do his magic.
He travels so you don't have to be in Louisiana! I would recommend him to anyone who wants a beautiful keepsake.

a live painter and he was a surprise from my mom, best surprise of the wedding! Truly magnificent!
Wow!! My daughter, myself and her future mother in law met Dirk last year at the Bridal Expo in Lafayette. A "live painter" was something she wanted, but we really didn't know i...
f it would be in the budget. After visiting with Dirk, it didn't take me long to decide this would be my husband and I's gift to my daughter and son-in-law. His personality was contagious and the sample he was doing at the expo was awesome!! VERY personable, informative and patiently answered my million questions. We just got the painting back in a very timely manner and it is beautiful! During the reception, he was not bothered by the people watching him do "his thing". He joked around with them while working, still producing this fabulous painting, capturing some great reception moments!! We were also able to obtain a very nice print of the painting for us, as well as the groom's parents to enjoy! Highly recommend Dirk for the live painting. It is a wonderful keepsake that will last a lifetime of such a memorable event. Worth every penny, not only for his talent, but his enjoyable personality as well! VERY satisfied!
Amazing!! Our wedding painting turned out beautifully!! He was a hit with all of our wedding guests and people are still talking about how awesome the painting turned out.

I wanted something unique to capture the essence of our special day, and I could not be happier with our painting.
Its GORGEOUS...we look at it every day and rejoice:)

impressed with how Dirk captured the essence of the venue and guests. When researching other artists I found that some were more generic. We love how our guests can look at the painting and find themselves. If you are planning a wedding or looking for the most spectacular wedding gift you can give, think no more...call Dirk Guidry.
We hired Dirk for my son's wedding in April and also as a wedding present for my son's best friend's wedding in August. In all my years of attending weddings, this is the coolest ...
thing I have seen at any of them! He sets up early and paints the venue and then whoever wants to be in the wedding painting comes up to Dirk and can do a fun pose or something to be remembered by in the painting. My son has his painting hanging in their living room and they absolutely love it. It's a really great and different way to remember the wedding rather than your traditional wedding photos. Dirk is also a fantastic young man to work with and is very accommodating! If you are getting married and looking for something different and fun for your wedding give Dirk a call!
I bought Dirk's "at the event" reception painting for one of my best friends... my only regret is that I didn't know Dirk when I had my wedding. This is by far one of the best, mo...
