Disc Jockeys Now is out of Business. Sadly, tragically, after many years of helping clients save a lot of money on their DJ or videographer by holding down prices, due to a serious medical situation and other circumstances beyond our control, Disc Jockeys Now has had to cease all operations effective immediately. This announcement is an attempt to give as much notice as possible for any clients to make other arrangements. In addition an email has been sent to all clients as well. Client access to all online planning forms expires March 1, 2023 when Disc Jockeys Now’s subscription to that service runs out. So until then, for any future events, clients can use those planning tools (There is no deadline except March 1, 2023 and the password is still the 6 first digits of the client phone number including area code) but rather than submit any forms, clients can copy and paste them to a Word doc etc for their use. Here is the link that is available for log in until 3/1/23: https://discjn.djintelligence.com/client Disc Jockeys Now is deeply sorry for what has happened. Deeply sorry that after so many years of helping wonderful clients and working with great DJ’s and videographers, this sudden tragic end will bring disappointment for anyone effected by this. It is simply medically and thus financially impossible to carry on the business. As soon as this occurred all sales and operations ceased immediately. Again it was very sudden, and it cannot be expressed enough the regrets for what has happened. A sincere Best Wishes to all.

Booked this company back in April for my upcoming wedding. Tried sending them an email yesterday to confirm the date and begin planning... come to find out they are out of business and did not inform me. They owe me $595 for Dj services. After some research there has been no luck in contacting anyone from the company. We will be pursuing legal action for a full refund. This is unacceptable!

To whom it may concern My wedding was scheduled yesterday and not one single person from your company showed up to DJ my event. No one called...no one answered when myself and my coordinator called to find out what was going on. I am disgusted by your company and how you could take someone's hard earned money just to scam them..apparently, we are not the only one's either...believe me, we will find you and get our money back one way or another. I am A DJ in South Carolina. If anyone needs a DJ for your wedding I can travel some distance to DJ your wedding if you were left hanging by this creep. Being one of his hired DJ's who also lost money from weddings already done. I can't do this for free but my fee is very reasonable. Just wanting to help out! 803-724-4096

Day came for the wedding, received NO information regarding them shutting down or anything, after having no music for anything at the wedding and cutting short anything for dancing etc I called my bank to issue fraudulent service from a company and received my FULL refund back from my bank. Would never recommend discjockeysnow they will ruin your wedding and scam you.

I am one of many DJ's who has worked for Michael Matthews for a decade. I understand that there may be health issues & other circumstances but this does look very shady. He owes me $1000 in shows & I am being blown off as well. Not Happy either.

Our wedding is in 8 days and they sent an email saying they are out of business. We are now out a DJ and our DJ budget for the wedding. Cant get ahold of anyone from the company for a refund.

This company is a SCAM they promised my husband and I a refund, and now they are NO where to be found. This is insane they literally just disappeared, I got the email that everyone else got, no way to reach anyone website is shut down. I cant imagine how how all the upcoming brides are feeling right now.. I honestly never thought I'd be in this predicament. All of us effected should consider going to the BBB.

ZERO STARS! Like many of the ones below I have just been informed that my dj and videotaping for my event is no longer … 4 days before my wedding!!!!!! No offer for a refund, no response, and most importantly I didn’t even receive the original cancellation email that many of you have. I was forwarded the message from the man who was supposed to be my DJ so if it weren’t for him I wouldn’t even had known.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I’m not in the Houston Area but I’m in Charleston South Carolina and the same thing happened to me with their Charleston area people. A single email was all we got with no other warning that they were going out of business. They said that we can still access everything until March 2023 but our wedding is in April. I hope legal action can take place because this is absolutely ridiculous and now I along with tons of others are out 600+ dollars

They cancelled on us. Closed bank accounts, email and phones. We paid in full and they seem to have gone out of business and just said “peace out.” We are out $900 bucks and now have to find and pay a new DJ! Terrible people.

I think it is time for a lawsuit. Hopefully all of the other wedding websites that promote them will assist in the legal action. As with all of the others, my niece just received an email saying they are closed effective immediately. She paid them off Monday, 10-31-22. Her wedding is next weekend in Schulenburg, TX. no website, email, or phone. Facebook is shutdown. What are the options here?

Received an email this morning that they are just gone. No way to get in touch with them. Website gone, phone going to voicemail but mailbox is full. I'm just out my money. I am fortunate that my event is 30 days away and I was able to get another DJ, but I have no recourse for my refund! Maybe we should all get together and file a suit against them.

Danny the DJ was absolutely fantastic. We chose him because we listened to a few samples from some other events he had done and liked both the music and transitions. We made a great decision, because the dance floor was packed all night. We told him what types of music we like, but with pretty minimal input from us, he did a great job choosing dinner music and then dance music throughout the evening. He also did a great job announcing things throughout the night. He was helpful and professional from the first call we had with him about a year ago, and I would highly recommend his services for anyone needing a DJ for their event.

We were very satisfied with everything Disc Jockeys Now did for us and our friends at our reception. We use guests from all over and beyond and he made them all feel welcome and was happy to deal with a lot of requests. I actually think he had more requests than there was time to play them all. But, he did the best to please everyone. We feel like he paid close attention to us and worked well with our planner who was kind of demanding when it came to getting done. It all worked perfectly.

Michael was very professional and took extreme care to make sure I was happy. If you book through them, make sure you lock down what you ordered with the DJ and confirm that they have all your songs. There were a few discrepancies with the DJ and what we ordered vs what we actually got but Michael worked it out with us after the fact which was very appreciated.

Very professional, very personable. Easy to work with and very willing to go the extra mile is probably the best way to describe our DJ from Disc Jockeys Now. He offered up a lot of great suggestions when we were struggling to pick a perfect first dance song. He handled the volume duties to a t, it was just right all night long. He mixed up all the different types of music, the fast songs and the laid back romantic ones just right for our tastes and those of our guests. He was very polite and fun, he even helped us carry our leftovers out the car as we were leaving. We will most certainly tell others what a great job he did.

We are SO glad we selected Disc Jockeys Now as our wedding DJ. We were uncertain of what to expect with this company, but were AMAZED with how great they were! Our DJ controlled the entire night and made sure we followed my schedule as closely as possible. When it was time for the next event, he would come to me or my husband to let me know and make sure we still wanted to do that game/dance/activity. He also notified me of information from the venue/bar and grabbed me a drink as soon as I arrived. We definitely recommend them!!

It was a distinct pleasure to work with the DJ who was assigned to our event from Disc Jockeys Now. He did such a good job of mixing in lots of high energy dance music and added a nice amount of slower ones as well. He seemed to be able to read the crowd quite well, knowing when to pick it up or slow down the pace. So many of the favorite songs on our list were played that we felt he followed our very detailed directions very well. Much to the delight of myself and my husband. Overall the night's activities just flowed and we attribute that to our DJ from Disc Jockeys Now. We will tell others they are a good option for entertainment for these types of events.

Overall, our wedding went so well. The music was a highlight for sure. Everybody responded well to Disc Jockeys Now with the music selections and overall flowing of the dances. It was a good experience for us and our guests.

We had a lot of music from different cultures at our reception and the DJ from Disc Jockeys Now was able to handle them all with no problem. The evening flowed from the start to our romantic send off final dance. Communication with the DJ was great. From the first of a few phone calls to go over things to the actual day of, he was on top of things for us all the way. He was great!

Our wedding coordinator recommended Disc Jockeys Now and we couldn't have been happier. The website is in need of a little facelift, but don't let that fool you! Their customer service is impeccable, they took the time to learn about our musical tastes, and even how to phonetically pronounce our names for introductions. Gavin was our DJ and he did an awesome job and kept the party going! Thank you!

Our DJ from Disc Jockeys Now did everything we asked of him and really made our day special. I had no idea what songs to choose for my ceremony but he had lots of great ideas for that. He also suggested some good choices for the garter ceremony and the bouquet toss and those worked out well. We are totally satisfied with Disc Jockeys Now and we will be telling friends and loved ones about them if there is a need.

Disc Jockeys Now was the best company we could have ever hired to be the DJ at our reception. We just adored how he handled the entire affair. Not only was the music exactly as we wanted, he also helped get everyone together for the introductions, the cake cutting, etc. He was a big help. The dance floor was crowded with dancers most of the night. The DJ played our preferences but was also flexible with my relatives asking him to play their favorites all night long. The slower tempo songs were really romantic and the crazy party dances were just crazy but tons of fun. Mike with disc jockeys now did all he could to please us and he was successful.

Disc Jockeys Now came and played for the ceremony then stayed and did the music for our party afterwards. They were great and we saved money compared to what we had budgeted. The DJ was nice and well dressed and acted as kind of an emcee for all the special dances and things we had. We agree with the other reviews listed here and had no complaints at all.

We liked how we knew the exact price we were being charged right up front. There weren’t any hidden charges or last minute surprise add ons. The price was fair and we definitely got a good deal for a 5 hour long reception. He met our needs on all the announcements and the music he played for us. We danced to all our favorites including the older throwbacks that we hear at most weddings along with the newer hits that we listen to in the car. He had such a wide variety that no live band could have had. We thought about a live band but the one we wanted was like 4 times what we paid Disc Jockeys Now. Very Happy, very satisfied.

Everyone just left our house after coming back this morning from the venue. We closed down the lounge last night everyone including my parents partied like they were 24 again, like we had hoped. I used Disc Jockeys Now for my Austin Texas wedding and they were amazing! Michael was very easy to work with especially since we came to him a few weeks before the wedding because the DJ we wanted to work with disappeared on us. Michael was very accommodating to our situation and gave us the perfect DJ (Stafford) to help us keep the party going at our reception. Stafford was very prompt and didn't disappoint. Everyone had an amazing time thanks to Disc Jockeys Now!

We hired and paid these guys 6 months prior to the event for my daughter's 15th birthday. They are easy to work with and very responsive. Any issues and you can always count on Michael or Matt to take care of things.
