Extremely happy with our experience with Discosapien. Rex was very responsive to all our questions. Matt, our specific DJ, was professional and gave us everything we wanted and more for our wedding. We also didn't want corny wedding songs like chicken dance/cha cha slide, so Rex stuck to his guns and just let it rip. Our ceremony site (outside) was about a 10th of a mile from the reception site, and both the ceremony and reception had in incredible sounds quality.
Throughout the night we kept getting compliments from our guests about how great the DJ was. Every time I looked over he was smiling, and his joy was truly contagious. His transitions were seamless and he knew how to keep a party going!
He also set up and seamlessly ran a Photo Booth that was a huge hit with the guests.

We really wanted to stay away from the typical wedding playlist (sorry Bruno Mars fans!) and curate a playlist that brought a diverse mix, yet high-energy list, and without a doubt - DJ Archie killed it!
Discosapiens are very pleasant to work with, and Dj Archie was extremely attentive to me and my bride on wedding day - making sure we were comfortable with timelines and what came next, asking us (quietly) if we had any tweaks or suggestions last minute, etc. We had a last minute request to shorten some dances and songs, and tweak the flow of things, and Dj Archie handled it flawlessly.
These guys are good, and definitely who I would recommend to those looking for a wedding DJ at a great price point.

But how embarrassing to have guests come up to us to point out the DJ's ripped pants and attitude that he didn't want to be there. It didn't ruin our wedding, but this was the only vendor we were unhappy with.

We were recommended to them by our day-of-coordinators and what drew us to them was that they had samples of their mixes on their website for us to get a sense of their style and vibe. Through our next conversations with Rex, we felt like they did a lot to make sure they understood what we were looking for and how to set up the day to match our priorities. For our actual wedding, we had DJ Archie, who played all the right songs to keep our dance floor alive for 2 full hours. I got several comments from friends about how fun the music was and how the energy never slowed down. He helped keep everything moving along throughout the night, and even stood firm (and professional) when the groom's father tried to get the mic for an unplanned speech! Would definitely recommend to any brides/grooms who care about keeping a fun dance floor going.

his mix of tunes, which included our preferences and absolute “do not plays,” and he brought a professionalism and welcoming presence to the entire event. We paid a little extra for a photo booth which ran perfectly the whole night. We would use Discosapien again in a heartbeat.

I think the best compliment we can give is that I had countless guests and three different vendors approach me to ask about Rex, saying he was one of the best DJs they have come across and wanted to know how I found him :)

Rex is a gem! He DJed our party of over 500 guests and had the whole crowd going. He is fast with his replies and extremely professional. I have worked with several DJs in the past...
