The booking process with Rex was a breeze. His communication was prompt and he was very transparent with their pricing. He didn't try to upsell us or anything like that - very professional. We were assigned Reynaldo as our DJ, and he was so great. Our venue was a small lodge with an outdoor ceremony space. Reynaldo handled ceremony sound, acted as our MC during dinner and toasts, and was the DJ for our reception. Our ceremony sound was perfect - in large part because of Reynaldo's experience. He was proactive in getting there to set up and made sure our officiant was comfortable with the microphone. During dinner, he kept the music at an appropriate volume for conversation, and he was great in introducing everyone for toasts. He even held the mic for my dad's toast, as we didn't have a mic stand and he wanted to read from his iPad. He's also a great guy with a calm presence, and I appreciated that about him.
The reception music was legendary. We weren't sure how much our guests would want to dance, and our venue wasn't really set up for a big dance floor. Reynaldo did a great job getting set up to maximize the dance floor, and then he did an even better job of reading the room and getting folks out on the dance floor as needed. We didn't give him a lot to work with in terms of a playlist, just a couple of must haves. His finger was really on the pulse and by the end of the night the place was rocking. 10/10 recommend.
Rex was great to work with and everything was set up perfectly at the wedding. Our guests all had a great time on the dance floor and there were no hiccups in the audio for the ceremony or reception. We also really appreciated the value for the pricing - in a world where weddings cost a fortune, we thought everything provided through Rex and Discosapien was very fair.
