District DJ

all: set up and break down, sound system, emcee, lighting, props, photobooth--everything you could want from a DJ. He also goes above and beyond the call by communicating with other vendors during your event on your behalf, and he even brought our plates through the buffet line for us at dinner! Want to play a song you love that's not quite dance-y enough? He'll remix it so it's higher energy and brings people to the dance floor. All in all, I can't recommend him enough. If he's free for your event, book him!

an easy find given that not all DJ’s are partnering directly with saxophonists or live musicians in general, especially in proximity of our venue. It took some Googling around which is how we came across District Fusion!!! We reached out and Jon was so quick to respond to set up an intro call. Jon took the time to explain to us how he partners with a saxophonist on the team, Liam, to bring the DJ and Sax together in a seamless way. This was also a huge factor for us ensuring that we worked with a DJ and saxophonist who are within the same group, not a DJ and saxophonist from separate companies. We knew as soon as we ended the call that we had to go with District Fusion! We worked directly with Jon through out the entire process and his responsiveness was so appreciated leading up to the big day. District Fusion wasn’t local to our venue but the extra cost for travel/hoteling was very reasonable. We were able to request for Liam to learn 3 new songs to play on the sax, outside of the songs he already knew. Jon sent over a questionnaire a few months in advance to wedding day for us to share genres, specific song requests, “do not play” lists, etc. and he stuck to what we spoke through - it’s always scary when DJ’s go rogue and we’re so thankful Jon didn’t! Jon and Liam had everyone on the dance floor the entire night and Jon knew how to read the room if a song needed to change, etc. People have not stopped talking about how great the dance floor was and how amazing Liam was and we’re so happy that our music team could make that happen!!! We’ve already had friends and family asking for their information for their next event 😉 We also used District Fusion for the ceremony music and mic set up which was also perfect. Liam played the entire cocktail hour with beautiful background sax playing.  OH! AND Jon brought the lighting set up which included uplighting for our tent that we were able to choose the color for which made it even more beautiful! We love Jon and Liam and District Fusion!!! 10/10 cannot recommend them enough!!!!

on. Jon also provided uplighting and the photo booth! The entire planning process was so easy and all of the musicians were amazing! We are so happy we went with Jon and his team at District DJ!!

spect of the day among so many other things to think about. The planning forms were so helpful in guiding us in every aspect, from ceremony mics to cocktail hour to reception. Most importantly, he had our dance floor MOVING! We had multiple guests come up to us and say "best DJ ever!" and even specifically mentioned his transitions. Given our wide variety of "must play" and "please play" songs, it was quite a feat. He also did amazing uplighting that changed with the beat of the songs that we hadn't thought much about but ended up being an awesome addition to set the mood of the dance floor. We highly, HIGHLY recommend District DJ!!!

ax for cocktail hour and mixed in the with DJ. They made our small wedding still feel fun and exciting. They were easy to work with and we would highly recommend them!

r our vows, officiants, and ran a game of couples’ trivia during dinner. He was extremely kind and professional throughout, and very easy to work with leading up to the event. If you’re looking for an awesome DJ in the DC area, Jon and District DJ will knock it out of the park for you.

g the wedding planning process that if you wanted to not worry about this part of our wedding, just book District DJ, and I am glad to confirm that that is 100% accurate. Leading up to the wedding, Jon had an easy-to-use website to fill out forms with details for the ceremony, cocktail, and reception. He meets with you leading up to the wedding to run through everything and ask any questions before the big day. We also used District DJ's photo booth, and it was a huge hit. He modified the printed photos to include our names, wedding date, and wedding logo, and he also helped manage playing a wedding video that my dad had made. Everything audio-visual wise went perfectly for our wedding, and there were no technical issues the entire day. Additionally, when it came time for dancing, our dance floor was popping. There were people dancing the entire time our dance floor was open, and I can tell you I've been to weddings when that is not the case. So many people came up to us afterwards and said our DJ was awesome, the music and mixing was done really well, and it was the most fun wedding they had ever attended. I actually told Jon midway during my wedding that he should never quit his job because he's really good at it, and my husband and I ended up venmo-ing an extra tip on top of what we had already allocated because we were so impressed. Literally book District DJ if you want to have a great time at your wedding!

eded our expectations. From our very first phone call, Jon understood our vision for the kind of music and vibe we wanted for the evening and curated the perfect playlist for us. The communication leading up to the day was also excellent and we knew exactly what to expect on our wedding day. We loved that District DJs provides photo booth and uplighting services, so we were able to cut down on the number of vendors we had to coordinate with. Jon took care of everything for us and the day was absolutely seamless. One thing that truly sets Jon apart from other wedding DJs we've seen was his technical skill. He used unique and fun music transitions all night, blending tracks together instead of just letting one song cut to the next. The song choice was incredible, and kept the dance floor packed and the energy high all night. Since the wedding, one of the biggest compliments we've received from guests is how good the music was. Jon made the party an absolute success, and we highly recommend him and District DJs to any couple looking for a top-tier wedding entertainment experience!

ould 100% recommend him for your wedding!!

ally in a button up and vest, and is so well spoken! He is the total package. Even his setup was beautiful with lighting that pulsed to the music and an awesome DJ booth with a lit photo of us and our names. He kept the dance floor going all night, read the crowd and adjusted accordingly quickly, and made our wedding a total blast. Jonathan also was flexible enough to add an hour on when our friend generously asked to extend by an hour, despite having an event far away the next day. Side note - you get what you pay for. Jonathan was almost twice the amount of another DJ we spoke to prior to him, but after one convo on the phone, we hired him on the spot. We found him because a friend went to a wedding he DJ’d and said it was one of the best they’d been to. Jonathan delivered in every aspect.

ed the process. When we asked him about playing a slideshow during our parent dances, he didn't bat an eye. They were the perfect surprise and made the father daughter and mother son dances so special. My dad's reaction was priceless! He knew how to read the room for each song to play, and our dance floor was crowded all night! He also has an awesome announcement voice!! :) Thank you so much, Jon, for making our special day complimented with the perfect music!

ughout our planning process. He anticipated potential problems and addressed them with us months in advance, provided us with detailed questionnaires to help us determine the flow of our event and make decisions in a proactive way. He gave us full control over the music we selected, seamlessly integrating music we identified through Spotify with his own recommendations. Sound quality at our event itself was top notch, and transitions between songs were smooth. As an emcee, he kept our event on-schedule and stayed on track with announcements, working collaboratively with our wedding planner. We would highly recommend Jon to anyone looking for a down to earth and professional DJ for your wedding!

a wedding where they didn’t have to work—and they ended up raving about how great Jon was too. From start to finish, Jon was smooth, had great taste in music, and was super communicative during the planning sessions. He’s also just a genuinely happy, kind person, which makes him exactly the kind of person you want at your wedding party. The dance floor stayed packed, the music was spot-on for our crowd, and everything felt easy and natural. We would absolutely recommend District DJ. If you're still looking for a DJ, just book Jon and cross it off your list—you’ll have a million other wedding decisions to make, and this is one you definitely won’t regret.

endly and attentive staff member, custom backdrop, custom photo strips that we designed with a professional from the team, all of the props our guests could want (and they wanted all of them), and multiple ways to see photos (prints, boomerangs, digital, etc.) The entire package came at a great price that we were able to split into two payments. They are professional, kind, easy to work with, and have a clear portal that's easy to manage. We cannot recommend them enough!

o had great ideas and tips for making our event extra special. His secure portal was helpful in keeping our music selection organized and collaborative. The portal also made it easy to efficiently communicate with Jon leading up to the event. Jon came to our wedding prepared, dressed well, and energetic. The mix of music was awesome, and his light show was banging! If you're looking for an awesome DJ/MC for your wedding or special event, look no further and contact Jon and District DJ.

music was exactly what I wanted and everyone was dancing during the reception with the best songs that everyone can enjoy!

wedding. Adam Halliday with district dj was the best, and really pumped my guest up. we wanted a party and we got a party with district DJ!!

what type of music/vibe and artists we wanted for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception as well as our few must play songs vs. do not play. We also appreciated that Jon helped make great recommendations for our "special dances", for example, he recommended a reverse-couples dance, meaning we began with our newest couples on the dance floor and kept adding couples who'd been together longer to get everyone on the dance floor after dinner. This worked perfectly, and he kept the hits coming all night. Our guests were on the dance floor until the end of the wedding, and we received so many compliments on our music during & after the wedding. Our photo booth was also a huge hit!! Highly recommend Jon!

ocess was great and Jon checked in with us multiple times before the wedding to understand our vibe. I wish I could relive this night all over.

to read the crowd and create an amazing atmosphere. He was professional, easy to work with, and made sure to incorporate our favorite songs and special requests seamlessly. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ to help bring our vision to life!

e complimented how great our DJ was and the dance floor was packed the whole night! Highly recommend booking District DJ for your event!

d photo booth pictures and the backdrop. He was extremely professional, thorough, and helped us customize our vision! On the wedding day, Walter was the attendant and he was wonderful to collaborate with. He was so patient with our guests, who numbered over 100! We received so many positive reviews from everyone. If you're looking for a photo booth at your wedding, I highly recommend District DJ!

e dancing going the whole night. Once we got the dancing going there was never a lull which is exactly what we wanted, I’d HIGHLY recommend DJ Jon and his team. The professionalism was unmatched.

eated a joyful atmosphere. District DJ's professionalism and Adams's attention to detail were exceptional, incorporating our favorite songs effortlessly. Adam has exceptional skills and the ability to keep the party going making for an unforgettable celebration. Highly recommended!

tions of what looks good vs. not. On the wedding day, the photo booth was an excellent hit! So many folks (& our parents) were so complimentary of Gary (photo booth attendant) for his assistance, enthusiasm and professionalism during the evening! An incredible company and team. Thank you Gary and Jon for all your help leading up to and on the big day!

nted, and we had so much fun dancing that I ended up compressing the nerves in three of my toes (they are fine--probably also a factor of my shoes!). Jon was SO great to work with--super responsive, knowledgable, and friendly. His rates are reasonable, and we even added a photo booth through District DJ that was a huge hit. Bottom line: hire Jon!!

d knew we wanted Jon as our MC! The exceptional communication Jon had throughout the planning process was amazing. The forms they had made everything so much easier and ensured we did not miss anything on our special day. Jon made sure all the music was just right, timing, volume and even made all announcements needed to allow the night to run smoothly. Our wedding became a party the minute Jon began the music and we danced all night long, even payed to keep him extra just because we didn’t want the fun to end. If you’re looking for a wedding DJ or any event, district DJ is the one to go to! (& Jon) we can’t thank them enough for making our day amazing!

an smoothly from start to finish. His keen understanding of the crowd was evident as he kept everyone on their feet all night with perfect music choices and seamless transitions. As a host, Jon was engaging and made sure everyone was having a great time. His attentiveness and responsiveness in communication were impressive, making the entire planning process a breeze. Jon truly went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was unforgettable. Highly recommend Jon and District DJ for any occasion!

he music from my playlist made sure it flowed well throughout the night. He made all the necessary announcements and did a great job setting up where the toast should be. Adam also arrived early to our venue to set-up and make sure he knew where everything was. Would definitely recommend Adam and district DJs to anyone who is looking for a DJ!!

day. It speaks volumes when other vendors have nothing but praise for him! On our wedding day, Jon was exceptional, ensuring everything ran seamlessly without any glitches. Our guests are still complimenting the mix of great music! Additionally, the photobooth package we had with him was a huge hit! The attendant managed it superbly, and our families are still raving about the fun and memorable pictures they took. From the outset, Jon understood our vision and was incredibly easy to communicate with. His responsiveness, professionalism, support, and positivity were unmatched, making him an invaluable part of our special day. Jon's services are worth every penny, and we wouldn't hesitate to hire him again for any event. He truly made our wedding day unforgettable!

! He did such a wonderful job on our wedding day and really kepted everything flowing smoothly with no hiccups. Our ceremony sounds was absolutely perfect and the microphones were sooo easy to use and captured all the sound perfectly. Jon was great at making announcements (even though it wasn't planned) to tell people to go to cocktail hour. We also had a photobooth package with him and the attendant did such a great job running the booth. It was definitely the most popular event and our families still raves about the pictures they took! From the moment we met Jon, he was just so easy to talk to and knew exactly what we wanted for the day when we shared our vision. Jon is so professional, supportive, and positive, and I can't imagine having someone else on our special day. He is definitely worth the money and I would hire him again without a doubt for any event!

t. We had a pianist during cocktails too who was extremely talented and learned our favorite song for us. Jon was very responsive and organized, worked with our coordinator well, and we were always confident he had everything in order going into the day. So much appreciation to Jon and District DJs for how fun and special they made our wedding day!

ing but great. He'll send you an online portal to fill out to ensure your ceremony and reception is well-stocked. Nearing the time for the wedding, you meet with Jon again to go-over the timeline/song matchup. Whether you want to plan each song or let Jon 'work-his-magic'. Both my family and my wife's are very big into dancing and told Jon to keep the music A-tier. The dance floor was pumping all night long, from songs that the older crew knew at the start of the night and more 20-30y/o music as the night concluded. The DJ really does set the pace for how your wedding day/night goes and Jon made this night flawless and one to never forget. Overall, Jon has a great personality, very accommodating, and above all, is an amazing DJ. Also, if you are thinking of getting the up-lighting, do it, the pictures are phenomenal and really makes your whole venue feel included when the music starts playing. (No pictures of the up-lighting until the photographer gets back to us!) THANKS JON!

r set up early, and made sure to keep the party going on the dance floor. People still talk about how amazing the music was a month later.

nt it opened up to the end of the night. Many of our guests said one of the best parts of our wedding was our DJ. We have nothing but great things to say about DJ Adam and are so thankful we had him as our DJ at our wedding.

uestions ahead of time (that we didn’t even think of!) highly recommend District DJ for your event!

They had so many options and on the day of, arrived on time with all the supplies and our guests loved the experience! Would definitely recommend! :)

ss booking process, was easy to connect with, and really delivered the day of! The lights made for a lively dance floor, and our guests LOVED the photobooth. Would definitely recommend District DJ!

DJ was that they would play songs all the way through and the slow parts would deter any dancing. That was NOT the case here. Jon took my loose list of preferred songs and cut them in a way that there was literally no time to leave the dance floor before the next banger came on. He was super flexible and knowledgeable too. We had someone else play the guitar as we walked down the aisle and Jon provided all of the equipment (minus the guitar) needed. I have also attended other weddings that had District DJ there and it was just as good as my own. I cannot recommend District DJ enough. Outstanding!

s. He totally got the vibe of our wedding, the music was on point and the dance floor was packed all night! We loved having the portal to add song selections. He made sure that we got everything we wanted exactly how we wanted it, including slowing down songs without them sounding weird for the wedding processional (the exit following the ceremony). He was so nice and a GREAT announcer. He kept things on track and was overall just a perfect presence to have around the night of. I'm so glad we got to work with him and the team. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

enough for any other wedding! He was incredibly easy to book with, very nice, and got us set up with a great acoustic guitarist as well in Dan McGuire for our pre-reception and cocktail hour. Book with Jon, you won’t be disappointed!

ions. He was also incredibly easy to work with and was able to build out a fantastic playlist that kept both our younger and older guests on the dance floor. From our very first conversation, I knew our reception was in great hands! If you're planning a reception at the USNA Club, or anywhere, I highly recommend Adam and District DJ!

to communication and his platform for selecting music was very user friendly. Music is a major part of any wedding and Jon is an expert at setting the tone and keeping the vibes high. You won't regret working with him!
