Most importantly, he had our dance floor MOVING! We had multiple guests come up to us and say "best DJ ever!" and even specifically mentioned his transitions. Given our wide variety of "must play" and "please play" songs, it was quite a feat. He also did amazing uplighting that changed with the beat of the songs that we hadn't thought much about but ended up being an awesome addition to set the mood of the dance floor. g the wedding planning process that if you wanted to not worry about this part of our wedding, just book District DJ, and I am glad to confirm that that is 100% accurate. Leading up to the wedding, Jon had an easy-to-use website to fill out forms with details for the ceremony, cocktail, and reception. He meets with you leading up to the wedding to run through everything and ask any questions before the big day. We also used District DJ's photo booth, and it was a huge hit. He modified the printed photos to include our names, wedding date, and wedding logo, and he also helped manage playing a wedding video that my dad had made. Everything audio-visual wise went perfectly for our wedding, and there were no technical issues the entire day. Additionally, when it came time for dancing, our dance floor was popping. There were people dancing the entire time our dance floor was open, and I can tell you I've been to weddings when that is not the case. So many people came up to us afterwards and said our DJ was awesome, the music and mixing was done really well, and it was the most fun wedding they had ever attended. I actually told Jon midway during my wedding that he should never quit his job because he's really good at it, and my husband and I ended up venmo-ing an extra tip on top of what we had already allocated because we were so impressed. eded our expectations. From our very first phone call, Jon understood our vision for the kind of music and vibe we wanted for the evening and curated the perfect playlist for us. The communication leading up to the day was also excellent and we knew exactly what to expect on our wedding day. We loved that District DJs provides photo booth and uplighting services, so we were able to cut down on the number of vendors we had to coordinate with. Jon took care of everything for us and the day was absolutely seamless.
One thing that truly sets Jon apart from other wedding DJs we've seen was his technical skill. He used unique and fun music transitions all night, blending tracks together instead of just letting one song cut to the next. The song choice was incredible, and kept the dance floor packed and the energy high all night. Since the wedding, one of the biggest compliments we've received from guests is how good the music was. Even his setup was beautiful with lighting that pulsed to the music and an awesome DJ booth with a lit photo of us and our names.
He kept the dance floor going all night, read the crowd and adjusted accordingly quickly, and made our wedding a total blast. Jonathan also was flexible enough to add an hour on when our friend generously asked to extend by an hour, despite having an event far away the next day.
Side note - you get what you pay for. Jonathan was almost twice the amount of another DJ we spoke to prior to him, but after one convo on the phone, we hired him on the spot. We found him because a friend went to a wedding he DJ’d and said it was one of the best they’d been to. Jonathan delivered in every aspect.

ing but great. He'll send you an online portal to fill out to ensure your ceremony and reception is well-stocked. Nearing the time for the wedding, you meet with Jon again to go-over the timeline/song matchup. Whether you want to plan each song or let Jon 'work-his-magic'. Both my family and my wife's are very big into dancing and told Jon to keep the music A-tier. The dance floor was pumping all night long, from songs that the older crew knew at the start of the night and more 20-30y/o music as the night concluded. The DJ really does set the pace for how your wedding day/night goes and Jon made this night flawless and one to never forget. Overall, Jon has a great personality, very accommodating, and above all, is an amazing DJ.
Also, if you are thinking of getting the up-lighting, do it, the pictures are phenomenal and really makes your whole venue feel included when the music starts playing. (No pictures of the up-lighting until the photographer gets back to us!)

DJ was that they would play songs all the way through and the slow parts would deter any dancing. That was NOT the case here. Jon took my loose list of preferred songs and cut them in a way that there was literally no time to leave the dance floor before the next banger came on. He was super flexible and knowledgeable too. We had someone else play the guitar as we walked down the aisle and Jon provided all of the equipment (minus the guitar) needed. I have also attended other weddings that had District DJ there and it was just as good as my own. I cannot recommend District DJ enough. Outstanding!

Jon had helpful detailed forms that allowed us to give him all the logistical information for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and music lists that helped us give him a sense of what we wanted. He effectively wove our selections in with his own song choices which fit our wedding perfectly. He was flexible during the reception as timing shifted for events like cake cutting, which was really helpful.
Jon was incredibly professional the entire day, showing up early to prep for ceremony music, micing our officiant and readers, prepping the cocktail hour space, and the reception tent. Jon did such a great job running the day. Once the dancing started, Jon did such a good job with selecting the music that we had nearly three hours of dancing without any significant lull!
