we're so glad we decided to go with him. Originally our wedding was supposed to take place in August 2020, but due to the pandemic--we had to postpone our big day an entire year. Ditto was understanding and totally willing to work with us on rescheduling his services to our new wedding date. In our package, he offered an engagement session which we like to call our "practice round." My husband and I are far from photogenic, and we definitely feel awkward when it comes to posing for photos. Nonetheless, Ditto made it so easy for us. He was so fun to work with and made us feel comfortable through our photo sessions. He took a mix of portraits, action shots, wide angles and natural scenery shots. Our engagement photos came out stunning, dreamy and he definitely captured some fairytale moments. The photos far exceeded our expectations and we knew we were in great hands for our wedding. He turned out to be the one and only photographer we met in person; after inquiring online with a handful of other photographers, we made up our mind to go with Ditto simply because he was so easy going, genuine, and professional. When we told Ditto we wanted our engagement session to be done at Mount Diablo, he let us know he had not been there before but was open to doing some research on the best spots. Indeed he did, and it turned out to be such a fun day! My husband and I are not necessarily “picture people,” so we were worried we wouldn’t know how to pose or look natural, but Ditto guided us from the get-go. It was fun chatting and getting to know him as well, and our e-session solidified our choice of hiring him as our photographer. We received the edited engagement pictures in just one short week! On the day of our wedding, Ditto showed up much earlier than agreed upon, and got straight to work. He kept a smile on his face throughout the entire day, and without him knowing it, he actually calmed my nerves throughout the day, especially when I was starting to feel stressed out at one point. I really appreciated that he was adamant that we took pictures up the hill at our venue (he knew of a secret spot and made sure we captured a few photos up there amidst our busy schedule that day). And, as expected from him, we received our edited photos in just one short month following our wedding! Kevin and I are planning to hire Ditto again in the future for other sessions/events. he willingly met with us near our home. We chatted about logistics, he answered all our questions and we got to know each other a bit. We really liked our chat, so we promptly signed the contract and paid the deposit online. In spring, we reached out to Ditto to book the included engagement 2hr photo session. We agreed to meet him in the afternoon at Point Reyes Station and carpool the rest of the way to the Cypress Tree Tunnel. Unfortunately Bay Area Friday traffic was much heavier than we anticipated and it made us 45 minutes late to our meet up. We message him throughout our drive to apologize and give updated ETAs. Ditto was super nice about it and we were so thankful. During the photoshoot Ditto gave us good modeling directions and kept it comfortable and fun which we also really appreciated since we’d never done a photoshoot like this before. We sent him a mobile tip to show our appreciation for his time and professional services. To our surprise Ditto sent us the finished pictures within a week. About a week before our wedding, Ditto informed us that our second photographer changed. He, of course, vouched the new photographer and after all was said and done we think she did a good job. Our wedding was a full day summer event in Newcastle CA. We started the day with traditional Chinese Door Games and a Tea Ceremony. Ditto showed up a little early to scout the venue and despite not scheduling him to shoot that part of the day, he offered to anyway. We took lunch and our MUA arrived and began with the bridesmaids and mothers. Ditto’s second photographer, Bianca, arrived and began taking photos. Ditto brought his stamp, ribbons, and picked beautiful flowers from our venue for the detail shots. We offered them both lunch and vendor meals for dinner. We took bridal party and first look photos, each photographer with either the bride or groom. When it was time for the ceremony processional, Ditto and Bianca took their places. During the ceremony, we barely noticed them. During cocktail hour, they shot photos of all configurations of the bridal party and each family side and went to snap photos of our guests. Ditto previously sent us an example wedding day agenda, complete with photo op suggestions. One of his recommendations was photos at sunset which we decided to try. We had to sneak away during dinner, but these turned out to be some of our favorite photos. As the night wound down, Ditto took pictures of our 1st dances, the cake cutting, bouquet and garter tosses and guest dancing. Ditto ended up staying longer than we booked him for to get all of the classic shots. Ditto sent us a sneak preview the day after our wedding! And within a few weeks, he sent us the finalized wedding photos and they were truly amazing! Our family and friends loved them and many of our guests commented on the outstanding quality of the photos. We thanked him for everything and tipped again. We highly recommend Ditto. He is a photographer who truly enjoys capturing everything beautiful at your wedding!

Ditto and Danya were at the venue early, had the shot list ready to go -- when we got our portraits taken at a nearby park (~5 mins walk from the venue), we were tight on time, but Ditto did a genius job setting us up in great poses specifically for our 1 foot height difference. The two also took a lot of great pictures of our guests, and everyone was impressed by how they seemed to capture the best expressions of everyone. Even with the busy wedding season, Ditto delivered us the gallery on time (4 weeks after the wedding). We love looking at the nearly 1000 photos in the gallery, he did not miss any moments. Looking at the picture feels like reliving the wedding once again. We are so glad we chose Ditto as our photographer, and recommend him to all our friends.

I had some of the ideas that I wanted for my wedding in mind and he was really open and happy to try them out and made it work for me. Our wedding reception was at a Chinese Restaurant, which is super dark and old looking, but all the pictures in there came out so bright and light. Our ceremony was at a church and he even went there a few days before the wedding to look for spots for pictures. He even sent pictures of the spots to me since I said that I have never been there before. It was super hot and sunny on the day of the wedding but he walked around the church ground trying to find spots that would look good in the pictures and avoid the harsh shadows from the sun for us. I told him that I had a "good side" and he made sure to position me on my "good side" in the pictures! I wanted a walking out with sparklers shot but our reception was not outdoors so he did it next to the reception building for us and the pictures turned out so great! He worked with what we got and made it look 100x better in the pictures! He also delivered us the pictures of us and the guests at the backdrop super fast so that we can send out our thank you cards as soon as possible! Ditto really went above and beyond for my wedding photos and I would recommend him to anybody!

On our wedding day, Ditto came early to set up and brought everything he needed, including props for still photos. He already had in mind suggestions of photo locations for the getting ready, bridal party, first look, couple, and family photos, which was great! We didn't have to think too much about what to do, how to pose, or where to go. He also had a second shooter with him, Corinna, who was really friendly, flexible, and fun, yet professional. Ditto and Corinna were so easy to work with and we enjoyed spending time with them on our special day. They were also really flexible and accommodating with our unexpected weather conditions. They were still happy to take us outside for our photo sessions despite the rain, wind, mud, and cold. They were willing to do whatever to capture the best photos possible for us. Ditto had a sneak peek album ready to share with us just a few days after, and the rest of the photos were available for us just nearly a month after our wedding even after he gave us the warning that they would come a little later due to his prearranged travel plans. He had the day schedule and picture list printed out to help us stay organized, and even kindly reminded us of our next thing on the schedule. In a way, I felt like he was also our coordinator :). Although we had agreed to 8 hours, he definitely was there a lot longer than that to capture every moment and every detail. Corinna, Ditto's second shooter, matches his personality and style so perfectly. Together, they made us feel comfortable, at ease, and were so helpful! And again, Ditto delivered! We got our sneak preview pics a couple of days after the wedding and got our portfolio in less than a month. Seriously, I don't know how he does it! Also, I forgot to mention that a week before the wedding, Ditto met with us at the venue to scout out locations for pictures as he was aware of our concerns re our venue. We got married on a college campus (CSM) which is not the most romantic looking/sounding, traditional venue at all. He yet somehow made it look nothing like a college campus :). Ditto & Vivian are very easy going, both communicate well and are really receptive to the elements in a photo that clients want. Ditto is very quick to provide preview shots for the engagement and wedding-- we already have a large number of wonderful preview shots from our wedding that was just 3 days ago! We are absolutely ecstatic about them and everyone who has seen them have already complimented how beautiful they are and what an amazing job Ditto and Vivian did. Initially, my wife did not want Ditto and Vivian to follow her back to her parent's home where she would change into her wedding dress-- she thought there wasn't going to be anywhere nice to shoot in the house. Luckily, our planner convinced her to just let them follow her along and they worked their magic. Ditto and Vivian turned her parent's dried out backyard into a beautiful rustic backdrop-- both parent's couldn't believe it! Their pictures that are magical, vibrant and full of life and emotion! We woke up the next morning to an email from Ditto saying he'd already set up a sneak peek of our photos, with at least 40 really beautiful shots from throughout the day. All this, and they charged probably $1,000 less than the other photographers we contacted. I couldn't be happier with hiring Ditto & Vivian!
