When we were looking for a DJ, we didn't have any specific requirements, just that we wanted our guests to have a good time, and that the dancing didn't stop all night long. DJ Cruz absolutely delivered. When we didn't know what music we wanted for a specific part, Darren would give us some examples for tone, and work from there. With minimal direction, he had us figured out so well that our wedding party commented on how perfect the music was for us and asked if we specifically requested it (Nope, that was all DJ Cruz!). We had so much fun during the wedding, and as requested, the dance floor was hopping all night. There was a hiccup after the first dance when we were supposed to do the Father Daughter Dance (apparently that's the perfect time for the FoB to go to the bathroom) and DJ Cruz so smoothly transitioned to the Mother Son Dance no one even noticed the switch. Darren was easy and fun to work with, and was everything we could want in a DJ. If you want your wedding to be full of fun and dancing, DJ Cruz is your guy!

Darren will probably be the best choice you make for your wedding (other than the spouse)! Not only did he keep the party going and people were constantly on the dance floor, he is extremely personable. Darren felt like he was already a friend and was extremely easy and fun to work with. His mixing of music was amazing and blended together smoothly. He even accommodated us and helped with an amazing dinosaur dance! I cannot recommend Divine Creations Entertainment enough!

We can not express how amazing Darren and his crew were. From the very beginning our wedding reception was a nightmare thanks to some family members. Darren stood extremely professional the whole time and made sure to do everything he could to keep us happy. Darren was absolutely amazing! He hands down made our wedding the most perfect day. Darren was so kind and responsive. From the very beginning, he cared about us and our special day. He was so organized and made sure everything went smooth and that all our requests happened. He went above and beyond to make sure every little detail was perfect. I never realized how many tasks the DJ takes care (not just the music). Darren handled everything from mics, lighting, aisle music, first dance, speeches, literally everything. And of course our dance floor was packed the entire night. We still have guests telling us how amazing our DJ was. Darren was truly the star vendor of the night!

DJ Darren Cruz was everything that we could have asked for in a wedding reception DJ. He met with us over Zoom multiple times beforehand to understand the wedding vibe that we were trying to set. He also let us choose the music for our grand entrance/introduction, which he edited and timed perfectly! On the day of the event, he seamlessly navigated multiple unexpected changes to the timeline, and despite the dinner running long and us starting the dancing late, he still fit in all the music we requested and then some! He even played some songs that made us go "Oh man! We forgot to request THIS song. And he played it anyway!" After the event he also put together a touching montage of the event, which we didn't even ask for. 5/5 stars well deserved.

DJ Darren Cruz was one of the best early on decisions we made when planning our wedding. He was quick and responsive right in the beginning and when my husband and parents talked to him via Zoom we were sold. He is such a sweet, kind, and fun-loving guy, and we knew that was the type of person we wanted emceeing our wedding. He got everybody dancing and played songs we wanted and songs that I didn't know I wanted to hear! He was always professional and genuinely wanted us to have an amazing wedding, and we did, thanks to him! He went above and beyond in requests we made about songs being cut down for special dances, to editing a song to be longer for our entrance! I don’t even know where to begin on how happy you will be with your experience using DJ Cruz and Divine Creations. This was our second time using DJ Cruz because after he DJ’d a 30th birthday party we hosted….we knew if we ever got married…he would be our guy! I thought it would be difficult because we cut our wedding down to 50 people and there was such a wide range of ages, but somehow DJ Cruz absolutely NAILED it. From the first contact I had with Darren he was full of fun! For our first phone conversation he made it into a game where we raced to call one another first (he won) and this fun continued all the way up until our wedding! Due to COVID we were forced to postpone our a year. Darren, instead of taking advantage of the situation, helped us make the best out of an already difficult decision and made it so easy to switch the date with no added stress! Leading up the wedding he was awesome in incorporating our wants and was always an email or text away. Our wedding day was AMAZING and a big part of that was Darren keeping the music and party going! Almost every single person was up out of their seat dancing and singing and his ability to read the crowd and keep the playlist going was awesome! The music was exactly what we wanted and the experience was the best ever! We had multiple guests tell us he was “the best wedding dj”! We even had the servers up and dancing with us and kept the party going even after the time the wedding was supposed to be over. Can’t recommend him more!

DJ Cruz was such a delight to work with from the very first meeting, through the pandemic, and rescheduling our wedding! He was easy to talk to and made my husband and I feel comfortable from the start. Within 30 seconds we knew he was our guy! He was incredibly understanding when we had to reschedule our wedding. Back in February 2019 my wife and I were beginning our wedding planning. I made my mission to pick the DJ as I wanted to make sure the music was one of the highlights of our night! I looked and did research. I thought about hiring a radio DJ or some big name old school DJ. But I came across DJ Cruz, he was probably one of the best decisions we made. He knew exactly what we wanted and worked with us right until the Wedding. I highly recommend DJ Cruz and all our guest spoke his praises.

Divine Creations Entertainment and DJCruz were simply amazing to work with. He was a true professional starting with our initial meeting and this continued even after the wedding. We were always impressed with how prepared he was for our meetings and phone calls. DJ Darren was excellent! We found DJ Darren Cruz through the Knot and trusted other reviews as to his quality – and we are so happy we did! He was absolutely fantastic at our wedding in October 2019. We gave him a long list of songs that we wanted to hear (really long) and he was able to play them all at the perfect moments. He was able to get everyone on the dance floor and was able to get everyone to sign together at the end – it was magical. One of our engaged friends even asked us for his information because they wanted to use him at their wedding – he was that good. We strongly recommend DJ Darren Cruz for your wedding or other event. Darren was absolutely phenomenal. We had a lot of different song request because we had about a 50 50 split with my family all being Hispanic, and the balance that he found between Spanish and English music was great. Would recommend 10/10.

We actually knew about DJ Cruz from a previous wedding we had gone to. He got the whole crowd dancing at that wedding so we knew we wanted to book him for our's - and let me tell you, he did not disappoint. Everyone at our wedding was dancing throughout the night! Darren / Divine Creations really made our wedding and certainly brought the party! From our first interaction day one, Darren consistently brought a level of professionalism, enthusiasm, attention to detail, and skill which we hadn't seen with any other DJ service. DJ Cruz is absolutely INCREDIBLE and we would recommend him for any couples planning a wedding!!!! We had an absolute blast at our wedding and DJ Cruz played a huge role in making that happen. I cannot say enough about DjCruz and Divine Creations! Our package included ceremony music, a four hour reception, and up lighting. It was affordable and most of all our guests never got off the dance floor! The lighting was exactly the right color and made the reception space pop. Dj Cruz played every song that i asked for as well as took some requests from my guests. We played the shoe game and everyone raved about how much fun they had shouting out questions. I truly couldn't have picked better entertainment for our special day! So many Thanks for Dj Cruz!!!!!

DJ Cruz was amazing from start to finish! He was so helpful the whole way, especially with any last minute questions I had! My ceremony music was amazing. I couldn’t get the perfect timing down because we hadn’t done our rehearsal at our actual ceremony site and I was so worried but he told me not to worry! I was so happy to see him at the ceremony doing the music in person so it would be just right. The reception was so much fun! He coordinated with my photographers to make sure no moments were missed during the reception. He kept my dance floor packed and everyone had so much fun! The uplighting was perfect as well! Where do I start off? DJ Cruz’s positive energy, charisma and creativity are just some of the few great traits this man has. From day one to the day of the wedding, DJ Cruz was very self directed and required little to no assistance from us and our families. Darren was the DJ for our wedding located at the Grand View in Mendon, MA and he was more than amazing and beyond accommodating. My husband and I had a hiccup in our wedding plans – long story short, Hurricane Irma destroyed our U.S.V.I wedding venue 6 weeks before our wedding, leaving us little time to re-plan for that weekend. Finding Darren on such short notice was a true a blessing, he’s professional, punctual, organized, easy to work with and as mentioned above, extremely accommodating. The day before our wedding we decided we wanted a photo booth at the wedding (yes, day before) and Darren hopped right on board, made a few calls and within the hour, we had a photo booth! Additionally, Darren’s playlist is incredibly diverse and covered all the requested genres at our wedding, from Soca, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, 90s R&B, House music, Funk/Motown, Old School/Freestyle and Jazz – Darren covered it all! We utilized Darren’s services for our ceremony and reception. His equipment was set up (indoors/outdoors) and prelude music was playing in the background well before the wedding guest arrived. His transition from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to the reception were seamless. And as you can see from the pictures, our guest had an absolute blast! Darren easily read the vibe of the room and made sure the dance floor was never empty. My husband and I would like to take a minute to thank you, DJ Cruz, for making our night more than perfect. You were extremely professional and answered all of our questions leading up to our wedding. Best DJ I could have asked for!! We had a lot of divorced families at the wedding and Darren made it very light and fun! Great music and so many people were on the dance floor. I really wanted to leave a review for Divine Creations, even though we did not hire them. I had a few brief interactions with Darren and he is an absolutely wonderful human! When I was first looking for a Dj, Divine Creations was fully booked. However, they ended up having an open slot during the time of my wedding later and reached back to me letting me know they could schedule me in. We ended up going with a different Dj because they had past experience with the kind of music we want at my wedding (Bollywood music). However, Darren was really helpful and delightful during all our interactions!! Upon telling him that we were hiring someone who was a better fit for the kind of stuff we wanted specifically for the wedding, his response was a genuine 'That's great news, I wish it was me but Best Wishes regardless!' which was really sweet! I would hire him for any future events and definitely recommend him to friends and family or even any of you reading the comments! :)

For couples who care about providing their wedding guests with both a classy reception and a fun dance party for all to enjoy, Darren is your guy. To give you a sense, our wedding party consisted largely of our family, and college friends in their 20s and 30s. At one point or another, almost our entire party of 150 guests were out on the dance floor - even our 80 year old grandmother and our 3 year old ring bearer were dancing! From our first in-person meeting, Darren was a consummate professional throughout the entire process, keeping in touch with us often, and also accommodating special requests of ours. He was an expert at feeling the mood of the room and playing music accordingly, and clearly has a passion for music and entertainment. Couldn't be happier with our choice of DJ.

Darren did am amazing job! My guests said it was the best music they had ever heard at a wedding. Everyone from the kids to the grandparents were happy!

Darren from Divine Creations Entertainment was amazing! He was very flexible before the wedding on our initial sit down and then also as the wedding approached. He was very well organized and made the decision making process easy. The company's uplighting display was ideal and accented the already beautiful reception room perfectly. As far as the music itself? Let's just say the dance floor was packed all night! We left song selection up to Divine and they knew exactly what to choose to get our guests moving. Darren and his staff were very professional and everything went off perfectly. I would HIGHLY recommend Divine Creations Entertainment for your next event!

Darren was AMAZING!!! From the moment we first met him till the actual day of our wedding reception he was so accommodating and helpful! My husband and I are very laid back and we left Darren with creative reign for the most part and he did an amazing job at getting people on the dance floor and reading the overall vibe! He and his assistant did beautiful lighting to match our color theme and a lighting design on the dance floor. My husband and I literally danced till the last song and we received tons of wonderful compliments on how great our DJ was! I was not expecting any of this when we were booking a DJ, I didn't think we could afford all of these beautiful things a quality DJ had to offer but Darren was so accommodating and his prices absolutely could not be beat for us! If I have any events in the future I will not hesitate to call Darren of Diving Creations Entertainment. Thank you Darren for a night to remember!!!!
