Reverend Shirley was amazing! She asked us to meet with her first, and we went over the ceremony which was beautifully worded. She was very accommodating for any changes we needed/wanted as well. The entire ceremony went off without a hitch 😉. She was easy to talk to and communicate with, and reached out to finalize details etc. Would highly recommend!

Shirley was an amazing officiant for our wedding this past November. We live out of state from where our wedding was located and Shirley was super accommodating and made communication very easy. Her script is absolutely beautiful and she took the time to help us choose special readings for the ceremony. She was always available for questions when needed. I highly recommend having her come for the wedding rehearsal, it makes things run so much smoother. Shirley is the best!!

All I can say is WOW. Reverend Shirley gave my husband and I everything we could have wanted and more in a wedding ceremony. We met with her in person several months before the ceremony and realized what an incredibly warm and genuine person she is. We are spiritual but not religious people and Rev. Shirley was able to walk that line perfectly so that we were happy with the amount of spiritual references while also pleasing my Catholic family. The ceremony was the perfect length (18 min) and had so many sweet and personal touches. EVERYBODY came up to us after the ceremony raving about Reverend Shirley. They could not believe that we hadn't known her for years!! I cannot imagine being married by anyone else. She contributed such a large part in making it the wedding of our dreams. If you are looking for an officiant that you can put 100% trust in to deliver a thoughtful and special ceremony, please consider Reverend Shirley!

We couldn't have asked for a better ceremony to officiate our marriage! Rev. Shirley MacFarland was wonderful and so accommodating. We wanted something simple to share with my mom, our children, and three of our friends at my mother's house. We didn't want to write our own vows. Shirley handled it all for us and came to my mom's house. Thank you Shirley! We are extremely grateful for you and thankful we found you! We will forever remember you.

Rev. Shirley did a great job for our wedding. I booked her on The Knot and shortly after we met with her at her beautiful home to go over the ceremony details. Both of us really liked her right away and felt she captured us perfectly. She gave us the idea to do a sand unity which turned out beautiful and our guests really loved it. Those are the pros for us. There were a few cons that I feel are worth mentioning. First, just to explain the background, my wedding was on a Saturday with both the ceremony and reception being at our venue which was a small barn. The venue required the rehearsals to be during the week on Thursdays. A couple months before my wedding, I received a phone call from the venue owner asking me if I would allow the bride that was getting married the day after me to do her rehearsal on the day of my wedding. They wanted to do it in the early afternoon. Apparently that bride did not want to do it on Thursday like we were supposed to, as it was inconvenient for her wedding party. Which, I completely understand, it was inconvenient for us too, we had to ask some people to take off work! The venue owner went on to say that she tried to tell the other bride that they don't allow that and she was embarrassed to even ask me to share the venue on my wedding day, but apparently the other bride's wedding officiant insisted on it. I thought that was very odd, so I asked who it was. Turns out their wedding officiant was the same as ours, Rev. Shirley. I don't know what other brides would have done in this situation, but for me I was not comfortable allowing another wedding party to do their rehearsal the day of my wedding, as it's just an unknown risk I was not willing to take. Plus, I had paid for use of the venue for the entire day and there's so much that could go wrong when allowing a large group of complete strangers to do their rehearsal the day of your wedding. The venue owner said she completely understood and agreed that was the right decision. She called the other bride to let her know and that was the last I heard of it. Months later, when it came time for our rehearsal, when Rev. Shirley saw me she made it a point to bring up that I said no to allowing that other bride to do her rehearsal during our wedding. She didn't say it in a snippy way, but I felt it was unnecessary to mention and I still feel it was very rude to even ask a bride to share her wedding space the day of their wedding. I would never have asked that of another bride. It is just disrespectful in my opinion. I think Rev. Shirley was not thinking about that. Now that my wedding is over with, I am so glad I did not allow it because we were outside setting up for the ceremony the moment we got access to the venue in the morning and we even had issues with our arch falling down, and our photographer also had us out there taking pictures before the ceremony and we were all running around trying to make the place beautiful. I can't imagine trying to do all that while sharing the space with another wedding party who I didn't know. The last con for me was that we asked Rev. Shirley to not use God in our ceremony and say Higher Power instead. It wasn't our idea, it says it right on her flyer that she can do that if you prefer higher power to be used. It is specifically why we chose her, it said that she will accommodate whatever your beliefs are. During our ceremony, she said higher power consistently but then toward the end she slipped up and said God. Which, really sounded funny because she made it a point to not say God the entire time and then randomly said it at the end which threw everyone off! Maybe some people didn't notice. But my bridesmaid walked up immediately after and mentioned it. My husband and I walked away from the ceremony site and looked at each other pretty unhappy about that part. She has done over 400 weddings but somehow managed to not read the correct words? But, overall, I'm trying look at everything overall as a positive experience. I'm trying to not get hung up on the little mishaps. Other than a few disappointing things, I think overall I really liked Rev. Shirley and I don't regret booking her. I just wish a few things went a bit differently.

Rev. Shirley created an amazing personalized ceremony for our wedding in Sept '23. She listened to what we liked and how we wanted to include our family. She even went along with our crazy drink mixing unity request. We got several compliments about how lovely our ceremony and wasn't too long. Overall very professional and friendly.

Shirley was an amazing officiant! My husband and I wouldn't have had anyone else marry us. She I kind, caring and a sweet woman. She is very thoughtful in explaining the process and very helpful!

Shirley was great to work with, she was very comforting, informative, and professional. I highly recommend her for your big day, she will make it extra special and there won't be a dry eye in the group!!

Reverend Shirley was absolutely amazing. We had an instant connection and she planned the most beautiful ceremony. Her kindness is so evident and the most sincere. Finding LGBT ally wedding vendors is difficult and she made our biggest decision so easy!

Shirley made our wedding ceremony incredible! She is very professional and tailors everything to you. She was punctual and met the entire wedding party before the ceremony, and made sure everyone felt included. She even took the time and energy to make sure she was pronouncing all of our family’s Polish names correctly! So many of our guests have reached out to wish us well, and every single one has mentioned how incredible our ceremony was! We could not have asked for a better ceremony, thanks to Shirley.

On our wedding day we entrusted Reverend Shirley to make it a flawless day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Shirley did not disappoint in any meaning of the word. The both of us have never been to a wedding before ours and Shirley made sure every point and question was answered clearly and smoothly. We really can't say how much it ment to us that Shirley was there and helping every step of ceremony. Highly recommend to anyone who is planning their wedding day. 10/10

We booked Reverend Shirley after reading her website on what type of service she offered. After meeting with her, we fell in love with her program. Unfortunately, the day before the rehearsal, an emergency came up for Shirley and she was not able to officiate for us on our big day. She did not leave us hanging and was able to have another friend of hers step in last minute. We had the wonderful Karen Shepard for our rehearsal and wedding day. Shirley emailed her the program that we fell in Love with and we cannot be more grateful to both. We’ve gotten so many compliments on how beautiful the program was. Karen learned Shirley’s program last minute for us and did a spectacular job! I absolutely recommend this company for your wedding day. You will not regret it!

Wow! Shirley made this entire experience wonderful. Her ceremony is so beautiful, everyone commented on it. She is flexible and attentive. Allows you to fully customize your experience while giving great input. She made both my fiance and I feel very comfortable while preparing for our special day!

We had our wedding on 10/14/17 at La Centre. We had a truly amazing experience with Rev. Shirley. She worked with us to create the ceremony of our dreams. She had excellent communication and kept us involved in the planning process. We continue to receive compliments on the beautiful words she spoke at our ceremony. We highly recommend Rev. Shirley.

Reverend Shirley did an absolutely amazing job officiating our wedding ceremony. She is so personable and really makes you feel special. The ceremony is very well written and was by far my favorite part of the day. Everyone keeps commenting how wonderful she was.

We didn't spend that much time with Rev. Shirley before the wedding, but we didn't need to, because we immediately felt comfortable with her! She picked up on my husband's and my quirky personalities and brought that into our ceremony! Everyone had fun and several people told me that they didn't want to fall asleep during the ceremony! (You have to admit, the ceremony is always a little boring!)

Rev. Shirley did an amazing job with the vows and prayers for our ceremony. She is an interfaith minister who will gladly work with her clients create the right atmosphere. Definitely would recommend her services.
