Divine Swine Catering

We had a 50 person wedding in September and ordered Divine Swine from the recommendation of our good friends. Divine Swine really came through! The food was delicious. We received many compliments from guests. The portions are very generous, including their tasting portions. We ordered three sides, because they were all so delicious we couldn't choose. They boxed up the leftovers for us, and their staff were very pleasant to work with. When we had to reschedule the food service two weeks before the event due to unforeseen circumstances, Divine Swine was very accommodating!

It was good food but I thought we would be having a whole pig carved on site and that was not the case. So I was slightly disappointed in this. I also thought the potatoes were a little dry. Otherwise it was good comfort food.

Our food was so amazing, and the service was even better! All our guests were raving about how good the food was (make sure to get the mac and cheese!!) and the owner's communication throughout the entire booking/planning process was amazing.

We loved having Divine Swine at our wedding. We got so many compliments about how happy everyone was with the delicious "comfort food." Everyone especially loved the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. They are so easy to work with and were great at communicating with any questions leading up to the big day! I would highly recommend Divine Swine!

So glad we went with Divine Swine for catering. We did their ‘griller menu’ and had burgers, hot dogs, mac n cheese, and a couple cold sides. They were incredibly flexible, like letting us bring our own bags of chips to save money on a side, willing to replenish the Chicago-style hot dog fixings we brought, and several calls back and forth to figure out exactly what we wanted in the months leading up to the wedding. Day-of they worked directly with our venue’s day of coordinator to have everything taken care of, we didn’t have to do a thing. Such a great, affordable option.

THESE GUYS WERE AWESOME! They were so incredibly accommodating when it came to our day, especially since we didn’t know if it would rain or not and they went with it! The food was AMAZING and so many people said they haven’t had wedding food that good ever!! Highly recommend them for an affordable BBQ wedding meal!!!

The food was incredible! Hands down the best Mac n cheese I’ve ever had and I’m so excited we have leftovers! We’d recommend them over and over again!

Divine Swine was amazing! We received many compliments on the food at our reception, as well as the the service from the waitstaff. They were kind and attentive and went above and beyond to make sure our guests who were gluten-free knew what their options were. They offer a good variety of customizable packages that are upfront and easy to understand. They were also very responsive and accommodating throughout the planning process, quick to answer any questions and make adjustments we had along the way. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for good BBQ style food at their wedding or special event!

Yumm! The pig roast and the side dishes (mac & cheese, German potato salad, baked beans, sauerkraut, and more) were simply delicious! Everyone raved about the food, and we still hear about it. The mac & cheese was especially a crowdpleaser. The staff were really really great as well. Thank you Divine Swine!! It was delicious!

the best food ever!!! during our taste testing we loved everything we tried so no matter what you pick you could not go wrong. they were so easy to work with, fast at communicating with us, and everything with them went to smoothly. we ended up having pork, beef, mac and cheese, augratins, caesar salad, pepper slaw, and sauerkraut stuffing. we got so many compliments on the food and had so much for leftovers, which they boxed up for us! would recommend them over and over again!

The food was great and it was a pretty good price! We had the pig roast and pulled chicken! Everyone loved seeing the whole pig with the apple! Only reason I gave one less star is because there was some miscommunication where I was told the server would Chemo cleat the tables. Then two weeks before the wedding they told me they wouldn’t and I would have to hire another person for $400. They did end up bringing it down to $200. But just not what I wanted to deal with two weeks before the wedding! But they did work with me and made it pretty easy!

Food was AMAZING. Loved the Mac n Cheese especially and I’m a Mac n cheese Kraft specific kind of person. Service was great. Being any questions you have to tasting to avoid too much back and forth emailing (tasting was also super fun and yummy).

Our guests were THRILLED with our dinner. We did a pig roast and many delicious sides - you MUST get the mac and cheese. It was phenomenal, every guest commented on the food and said it was the best BBQ they've ever had. It's hands down the best catering option if you want a relaxed mood with food served by professionals. Also, if you bring coolers, you can take home your leftovers! It's super affordable, with packages for every price point.

Food was delicious and fresh! Always fully stocked at the buffet. Staff was on their game and very pleasant to deal with.

We selected Divine Swine for our caterer because we wanted to keep the mood fun and upbeat without having a cheap looking buffet or a served dinner. They have a few different options for plating; nice plates, silverware, and glasses all the way down to compostable everything! After dinner they brought out the actual pig that was roasted, they wrote our names on it with a heart, put some fun sunglasses on it, and left it out for a couple hours before leaving. The food was awesome, their servers were super friendly, and I am very happy with their service. .... the price wasn't bad, either!

All the food at Divine Swine is delicious! It's the perfect food if you're looking for a laid-back, comfy vibe. Also, they have vegetarian options and most of their menu is gluten free. There was a lot of leftover food that they boxed up for us and we ended up eating it the week after the wedding (we never got sick of it... seriously, it's that good)! Also, the staff is extremely professional and fun. We would highly recommend them!

Divine Swine ROCKED. We had at least 15 people within the week after our wedding comment on how great the food was! They all especially wanted more of the cheesy potatoes :) We had plenty of leftovers (that we were able to pull out the next day when we had people over for a post wedding celebration) and got all the food for a phenomenal price. Our venue let us use dishes for a very discounted price so Divine Swine was able to put together the bronze and silver package for us to make it work for us and use our venue's dishes, at a very reasonable price!!! I would eat Divine Swine again any day (with or without a wedding!!!) THANK YOU!!!

Divine Swine Catering was a great find at a local wedding fair. They were very generous and enthusiastic for us to try their foods and had excellent pricing and buffet options. Our tasting with them was a lot of fun and gave us a taste of a wide variety of everything they offer. Day of, they were prompt and professional and went above and beyond what was on our contract. All our guests could not say enough great things about their pork and BBQ sauce and how much they loved that German potato salad! I recommend them for any event you have and need great catering!

Complimentary tasting. The food was amazing. We had the beef and the shredded chicken. We also had two types of potatoes. The on-site staff wasn't the most friendly. He seemed annoyed to be there. But very happy with the food!

THE BEST FOOD EVER!!!!!! The wedding is over and people are still asking me about the food! it was wonderful! the portions were huge and there was plenty left over, some guests even ate 3 plates. Every single item we ordered was great. The pulled ham was an absolute HIT!!!! The staff were fast and professional. The set up looked great. You get a food tasting before booking your event and they are so helpful. Not a single bad thing I could say about this company. EXCELLENT JOB!!!

Absolutely amazing. We were confident in hiring this company to cater our wedding (10/7/16), when we went for a taste test in early February. We chose two main dishes, and four sides. I was blown away by how beautifully everything went the night of our wedding, and everything was set up perfectly. The staff was incredibly accommodating and so nice to everyone that went through the line. This was also the most affordable catering service I could find, and everyone was impressed with the meal.

Amazing food and so great to work with! The tasting was fun and quick and they were very communicative. They answered all questions quickly and we're very courteous. They catered our wedding this past weekend and everyone is still talking about how great the food was. Those mashed potatoes are to die for. Not only do they let you keep the leftovers, they packaged them up in to go containers for us. The catering staff was very professional and extremely helpful if we needed any little thing. And so fun to have the whole pig outside! Our guests raved about it and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommended. We opted for the silver package and everything looked awesome. Fed almost 225 for under $6000 including the extra for the China dishes. We would book them again in a heartbeat!

Divine Swine was amazing! The caterers were fun, friendly, and professional. The food was delicious (all the guests are still talking about it the week after the wedding) and served on time. There was plenty of food for our guests to have second and third helpings, and we ended up with leftovers! We got our cake through Divine Swine as well and it was SO good (and decorated nicely too!). We got the full roasted hog and the caterer came to find us before dinner to let us know we could take a photo with it - so nice! Divine Swine was a HUGE hit at our wedding and we highly recommend them!

Divine Swine was a huge hit at our wedding on September 23 at Day Block Event Center. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly, attentive and hard working. We received so many compliments! I would highly recommend Divine Swine for any event!

Fun and Tasty! Divine Swine is definitely a family-oriented business, with their friendly staff and great communication it's hard not to love them! The pork is tender and delicious and the turkey is a great option too! Definitely don't skip the potato salad it was a crowd favorite!

The pig roast was awesome, but the roasted beef was even better!

We were looking for BBQ buffet for our wedding and Divine Swine was recommended by our venue coordinator. Even though our schedules didn’t allow us to do a tasting before booking Divine Swine for our big day we could not have been more pleased. The service was wonderful, the prices were great, and everyone absolutely LOVED the food. It ended up being the perfect dinner for our June wedding. Anyone looking to have some delicious BBQ should seriously consider Divine Swine Catering for their event.

We fed close to 200 guests for under $6,000 and had leftovers to feed our family in town for almost a week! Great variety of side options, and nice to have different add on service arrangements. We chose their gold serving options with full service and stainless steel serving dishes, which made our buffet look so elegant. We both have extended families from rural Minnesota, whose diets mainly consist of 'meat and potatoes.' This was perfect for everyone!! Excellent BBQ sauce to go with the shredded pork and beef, along with potato salad and more.

Divine Swine catered our October wedding this year, and everyone raved about the food! It was a classic BBQ/picnic style pig roast complete with all the fixings! The pork and beef was delectable. We chose garlic mashed potatoes and gravy, beans, Caesar salad and pasta salad as our sides. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was amazing! It tasted even better the day of than it did during our tasting. The owner, Bruce, is great to work with! He let me pick up our utensils and napkins the week of our wedding, so I could wrap them how I wanted. Book them. You will not regret it!

Divine Swine really went above and beyond for our wedding. They were just fantastic! We had a tasting with This Little Piggy as well, and we thought that the pig itself was more succulent and flavorful at Divine Swine, also the dishes and utensils at Divine Swine were of much higher quality than This Little Piggy. But even more importantly, they were more than willing to do a number of custom items just for our wedding. We didn't want a normal "casual picnic pulled pork sandwich" dinner, instead we wanted to create the effect of a Bavarian chalet in winter with a wild boar with an apple in it's mouth (we couldn't get wild boar so a pig was as close as we could get), and the meat torn into larger pieces, meant to be served on a plate not in sandwich form. They also custom baked a recipe we gave them of apples with red onions in olive oil with balsamic vinaigrette to be placed onto of the pork (kinda like a pork loin dish with baked apples). How many wedding caterers would go through so much extra work?! Also, they offer a number of different packages for tableware from disposable picnic style to porcelain dishes with linen tablecloths for a more elegant look--so you have a number of options based on the desired look of what you're going for. It was incredibly affordable! Many of our friends spent upwards of $50/person for food at their weddings, we paid about $13/person for super meat, a vegetarian option, and a number of sides including our custom apple/onions side! Additionally, they were happy to co-cater as we got gourmet salads from Cafe Latte to really dress up the dinner. And the service in the planning process and the day of was just great! Lots of our wedding guests commented on how friendly and helpful the servers were.

Our guests have still be complimenting us on our food choice! Divine Swine was great, and we were able to still make our wedding classy (not like a picnic) Don't overlook them when picking a caterer!!

We used Divine Swine for our reception. They did an awesome job. The food tasted awesome and the presentation of the pig was great! They were very responsive when connecting with them before the wedding about the total head count and menu. They did get a little frustrated when we had to delay the start of dinner because of the pictures but they did a great job overall.

Divine Swine has spectacular food for a price that you will not find anywhere else, trust me I looked! We received many compliments on our food and one guest even told me it was the best food he had ever had at a wedding!

For our wedding we chose Divine Swine to cater food. We had the whole roasted hog as well as turkey with sides. Both meats were delicious! Also, the sides were amazing! The green beans are the best I've had. The best part is we got our picture with the hog!! I'd recommend them to anyone. All my guests are still talking about the food.

We highly recommend Divine Swine if you are looking for a fairly priced, deliciously prepared, and worry-free buffet! We got compliments for weeks on the delicious food at our daughter's wedding reception. The server had the buffet set up quickly and began serving our guests a little earlier than was planned, which was wonderful - they were hungry!! Divine Swine guarantees to have plenty of food, and it was evident. Everyone got to eat as much as they wanted and we still had leftovers. We had planned for 125 and we were pretty spot on with our guest count, so it's not like there was a lot extra because people didn't show up. DS truly had plenty of food for everyone. We had one family member with dietary allergies, and DS made a separate dish for this one person. It was wonderful and we truly appreciated that they did this. After reading all the good reviews about Divine Swine and then going to our tasting, we knew we had found the right caterer and we were not disappointed!

These guys were great and the food was fantastic and such a great value. We did a whole pig and I must say it creates a buzz. It was the perfect thing for our outside barn wedding.

These caterers were the most amazing people! They took care of all of the guests and went above and beyond their call of duty! We will recommend this company to anyone who asks! They were WONDERFUL!

Our guests raved about the food served at our wedding. We knew early on that we wanted some quick, easy, and buffet-style. Divine Swine was the perfect fit! We searved both pulled pork and pork ribs but then also included options for the barely meat eaters and non meat eaters. The staff helped transition people from their tables to the buffet lines and all 315 of our guests were through the lines in less than 20 minutes which is incredible. They also helped with the clean up which was smooth and easy! We were thrilled the our experience with Divine Swine and highly recommend them for whatever event you are planning.

Divine Swine was by FAR the most affordable option hat still had incredibly good food! We got the package with the most side dishes (The Big Buffet they call it) and with 95 guests came to just under $2k, including cake cutting fee! Bruce was extremely helpful and when we did our tasting, even sent large samples home with us for my mom who couldn't make it! Our guests loved the food, and Divine Swine even packed up the leftovers for us- we still have some of their awesome baked beans in the fridge 2 weeks later! They also cut our desserts that came from another vendor and plated them too. Their servers did an amazing job!

My Fiance was in charge of this portion so of course he got a whole pig... their food was good and came in large portions - enough for the gift opening on Sunday!!

We had a backyard wedding in August 2012 for 205 guests. We chose Divine Swine catering because we knew we wanted a backyard barbeque. Divine Swine exceeded our expectations! The food was AMAZING (especially the cheesy scalloped potatoes) and so many people went up for seconds that we didn't have any leftovers! The food was fresh, hot, and tasty. We chose the room-set up option and they set out their napkins and silverware before the serving time. They were efficient and did a beautiful job with presentation. The servers were literally RUNNING to their grill in the front of the yard to refill the food as needed. Bruce was very helpful with food selection, accommodating our changes in guest count, etc. It was great food and the price was unbelievable! We paid less than $14/head and we got amazing service (some guests said it was the best wedding food they've had!). The buffet style was beautiful, organized, and clean. The food was way better than typical chicken/steak/fish plated dinners for banquet halls!! We had pulled pork, pulled turkey, scalloped potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, salad. There were no leftovers because many of our guests went up for seconds! They did an amazing job and my husband and I are extremely happy with their service!!!!!

My husband's family had used Divine Swine for other events, and since we knew we wanted hearty fall food, they were a perfect choice. They were fabulous to work with- they customized a service package and even ordered special bamboo plates for us, and on the day of the service could not have been better. They definitely went above and beyond what we expected. We got so many compliments on the food too, and you really cannot beat their pricing.

My guests are still raving about the food (and we are still eating some of the leftovers from the freezer)! All of the people we worked with at this company were fabulous. The servers at the wedding were super courteous and friendly. The one thing I most appreciated was the kindness and patience of the guy that had to collect the payment at the end. The payment envelope had gotten moved and he just stood off the the side and patiently waited for us to locate it. He totally understood how crazy things get at the end and was cool as a cucumber while we hunted down the payment envelope. I would definitely recommend this comany to anyone!

We were so happy with Divine Swine! We were so excited about having a full pig roast at our wedding, and they came through...the guests loved it and the food was awesome. They took care of all the set up and cleaning and even packaged leftovers in the fridge so we could enjoy the next day (a BIG perk!). I highly recommend the Rootbeer Keg, we got it for the kids but tapped out the adults loved it so much!

If you're looking for REALLY good, down-home type cookin', look no further!! This is barbecue at it's best! You don't HAVE to use the bbq sauce, but why would you skip it, it's one of the best and if they'd bottle it and sell it they could make a mint!! The cheesy au gratin potatoes are to die for!! Service: before the event, helpful and wonderful, my Mom dealt with the server the day-of and she said he was great. Bonus: you get to take the leftovers home with you - yummy!!! If I could give the value category 10 stars, I would...

the food was great. They did leave a bunch of grease on the side of the building that i had to pay to get cleaned up the next week.
