I am absolutely FURIOUS and HEARTBROKEN as "Jimmy" from Dixon's ruined my wedding and all of my pictures. Months before my wedding when I put in my order, I came with a picture sho...
wing him exactly what I wanted for my bridal bouquet so it matches all of my artificial florals for my wedding. Fast forward to last weekend on 9/20/24, my wedding coordinator goes to the shop to pick up my flowers at 12pm when I told them we would pick up and they told my coordinator the bouquet WASN'T MADE YET. My coordinator then had to wait for an HOUR, then almost making my wedding LATE, WAITING ON THE BOUQUET. When the delivery person brought them to my church which was only a mile away, the flowers weren't even fully bloomed, most of them were still buds, and they were the WRONG COLOR and WRONG FLOWERS!!! The owner said he would give me a refund which great, thanks I suppose. But I never wanted free flowers, I wanted my wedding pictures to be perfect and I will never get my perfect wedding pictures because "Jimmy" couldn't do his job correctly and the people the day of couldn't either. Utterly disappointing, as you only get married once in your life.
Gail and all the employees at Dixson's Florist made my dream wedding decor come true!! Gail was a pleasure to work with and she gave honest and helpful feedback as to what we could...
do and what flowers would work best to create my wildflower bouquets and Lego-character boutonnieres. She eased all of my nerves and quickly answered all of my questions. When we were in the planning stages she even brought out actual flowers that she had on hand to show me quick examples of what everything would look like! I would recommend her to everyone without even thinking twice!!
I grew up in Highland and went to Dixon's for all my HS dances, so naturally they were the first choice for my wedding. I'm living out of state but planned on meeting with Gail on ...
my trips home before the wedding. I left two messages with her receptionist prior to getting a return phone call for initial meeting. We met, picked out flowers, and I signed the contract that day. 5 months before wedding, I attempted to email her (easiest mode of communicating pics/ideas since I'm out of town) and discovered that her email was not listed on her business card she had provided me nor on her website. I called (after business hours) but couldn't leave a voicemail since they have no voicemail setup. I called again the next day and they gave me the email address, and I left a message with the receptionist for Gail to look for my email. I waited a week after sending an email with no response. I sent another email and left another message with the receptionist a week later, figuring she might be busy. A week later, I called again and was told that she wasn't in but would call me back that afternoon. She didn't. I called the next day (2 1/2 weeks after initial email) and was told again that she would call me back that afternoon. I said that if she didn't return my message then I would seek another florist. She called back 10 min later. She was unapologetic regarding the 2 emails and 4 phone calls across 2 and a half weeks of trying to get ahold of her. With a very condescending attitude, she told me that we had plenty of time before the wedding and denied receiving any of my prior messages. Her excuses: the receptionist never passed on a message, her Apple account was hacked and she couldn't receive email (I was already sending mail to her alternate email account as instructed by receptionist), I didn't use a capital letter in the email address (email addresses aren't case sensitive), and the email was going in her junk email and she didn't know to look for it there (I'd left three messages about the email). With her poor business and attitude, I decided to go with a different florist (too much hassle for me living out of state). I ended up shopping around and found a respectable florist who could do the same flowers for $400 cheaper... If you live local, Dixon's might work out for you but if you are unable to make in person appointments, consider another florist!!!
I love Dixon's florist. I have been using them since high school so of course I was dead set on using them for my wedding. Working with Gail was a Dream. She's the must calm, lovin...
g and patient woman I have ever met. She listened to what I wanted and our next appointment she picked out the perfect blush and ivory flowers I've ever seen to show me what would be used. I was swooning over her ideas and they turned out to be perfect options. My bouquet was astounding and my bridesmaids were just as perfect. The flowers for the centerpieces were constantly talked about all night. She set everything up for us and it was perfect. I wanted peonies for my bouquet because they remind me of my grandfather whom just passed but they were out of seaosn, but Gail said she would try to get some if possible. She searched far and wide and found some. I didn't know this until my bouquet showed up and there they were, beautiful pink peonies! It brought tears to my eyes, Gail did it like she said she would! So thank you Gail and Dixon's florist for helping create my dream wedding and making it happen!
Dixons did an amazing job! Bouquets were beautiful
Our wedding flowers turned out very nice and they were great for the price we paid for them as well. There were a few liberties that the they took and substituted some things that...
were a little different than what we intially agreed upon but I supposed that happens and they still turned out very nice.
Dixon's florist provided beautiful flowers for our wedding! Gail Dixon works one on one with her brides & gives her all to provide the best floral experience! We also rented a ...
beautiful cast iron gazebo beautifully decorated by Gail's team. The only downfall about the entire experience was that the florist did not give the groom & groomsmen their flowers for the ceremony. Most floral shops, pin the flowers on the groomsmen but this must have been an honest mistake. The groomsmen forgot about them & it wasn't until after there ceremony they got put on. They also placed the grandparents & parents flowers in a different room & they were not found until after the ceremony. Again, I think this was the an honest mistake of miscommunication between the florist & the venue. If this was the worst thing that happened, it's no big deal! :) I would still highly recommend Dixon's!!
Dixon's was referred to me by a friend, so I went there after only seeing a few of their bouquets from a few years ago. However, they did an incredible job. The woman did not enc...
ourage me to spend more money and gave me some money saving tips. Everyone arrived and look gorgeous and was exactly how I wanted it.
I know I'm biased, but out of all the weddings I've ever been to, the flowers at my wedding were the most stunning I've ever seen. Gail Dixon works one-on-one with the bride to ge...
t her ideas as well as contribute her own to what the flowers should look like. They are accomodating in delivery to both church, house, and they even take the flowers from the church to the hall and set up everything in the hall themselves. They really are invested in each client and they truly want every wedding to be breathtaking.
