We had Dj Allen for our ceremony and reception and was honestly very disappointed. His online forms were honestly very easy to use. But we never met before hand to actually go through everything and I think that was very bad on his part. Although he seemed very nice when we spoke on the phone we didn’t even meet till after our ceremony was over and we were walking into the reception getting introduced which he never asked pronunciations of name for the wedding party and messed up on my moh/sisters name. Was super annoyed the whole time at my reception because I feel like the Dj is supposed to guide the night along and the only way he would do anything was if I specially told him and I don’t think I should have to be worrying about that when I’m supposed to be having a good time with my guests. Also was VERY unhappy with his music decisions I had put about 20ish songs on our playlist so he should have had some idea what we wanted but instead played a bunch of old songs I didn’t even know. When people would request songs he wouldn’t play them until I would go and re ask him myself. Was extremely disappointed to say the least. The music is really the biggest part of the wedding and makes me very sad I have to look back on our special day and remember it this way. Sorry if this sounds harsh but I want people to know if you hire him ask him for more time and attention to details. If he’s so experienced he should have been guiding us through the whole process and that absolutely was not the case.
