Music was something I was very particular about for our wedding and so it was probably the things that felt the most overwhelming as well. Pete has a great website set up that made the planning process not only soooooo much easier, but it actually made it a really fun experience for my now husband and I. He played acoustically and sang for our ceremony and our cocktail hour which was such an amazing touch and our guests still rant and rave about it to this day. Then he was able to completely switch gears into DJ mode for dinner and dancing and we never had an empty dance floor after that. Overall he was so easy to work with and such a sweet guy. We love his versatility and he was the exact touch we where looking for to make sure the entire ambiance of our big day was always dialed in exactly where we wanted it. His website made the planning leading up to the wedding convenient, and he made sure to check in with us periodically to make sure everything was on track. He reached out directly to our vendor to coordinate timelines and really took the pressure off of me to make sure the day would flow. For the wedding day, he and Jeremy were there early and set up on time to play while our guests were arriving. We chose to have him sing and play guitar before and after our ceremony, and he sounded great. Several of our guests commented on how impressed they were with him. Further, he worked with our venue coordinator and photographers to make sure our wedding went smoothly, and improvised when certain events took longer than expected. I valued his opinion so much that I even called him to get his take on decorations one day and he talked through it with me. His whole approach was to make sure we had the night of our lives, and I could not have been happier. He made sure he played the songs we specifically requested, and improvised his playlist for certain songs the guests requested during the reception. He even played one of my favorite songs that I hadn't requested, which was very special to me. It's super important to choose a musician/DJ that is experienced and will keep you calm for your big day; Pete is that guy!! One last thing that stood out to me... when we asked him which meal he preferred, he let me know that Jeremy would be there to help him, and that he would prefer Jeremy received the meal if there was only one for them. Of course we made sure they both received meals, but I was so impressed with how considerate and selfless he was. Honestly, I'd hire him again and again based on our experience.

As follow up, he even sent us a recording of the music played at the cocktail hour for us to review since we missed out being there. There were so many details that he asked about, that I wouldn't have thought about until the wedding day. These go way beyond "just music", including detailed timelines and special events throughout the night. Having all of these details planned and decided early on is a lot of what I found to be the reason for an almost completely stress-free wedding that I just got to thoroughly enjoy by the time the day came. He helped with advice on suggested music, kept our tastes in mind while ensuring that all of our guests enjoyed their night. He pays such close attention, that songs were changed nearly immediately upon a song leading to less dancing (per one of my ladies- I didn't even notice). We were able to make lists of desired music, which I heard many of and fit perfectly into the rest. No song was unavailable, he made what we wanted happen. In addition to the incredibly helpful organization, easy to work with personality and program, and amazing song lists/banks, my highlight with Pete was his wonderful talent for both the DJ skill and musician aspect. For most of our special songs, we had Pete perform for us. He performed for our ceremony and mother/son and father daughter dances. His talent was incredible and added such a special element to our wedding. We would recommend him to anyone that is looking for a DJ/musician. I would never have realized what a crucial role this is to the flow of the event, and appreciated the support throughout the planning process. I knew I wanted live performance as well if possible, and Pete was beyond our expectations. If the idea of having his planning portion as well seems unnecessary (our venue provided a coordinator), I want to encourage you that he works so seamlessly that it is only an incredible benefit. The time he took to phonetically spell out my sisters' eccentric names for their announcements to the songs chosen to play during cake cutting/garder-bouquet toss, every single detail of the day was covered. We had a sound snafu the day of our wedding where the venue did not provide the necessary microphones for our wedding, but Pete saved the day by bringing his own equipment as back up. I've never seen anything like it! All our friends and family talked about the days after was how fun the dancing was and how they couldn't believe how everyone including the grandma's never stopped dancing! Our entire wedding day timeline needed planning. Thankfully, we had hired Pete Goslow. When hiring Pete, we never expected him to play the most significant role in planning our day. In the days leading up to the wedding with friends and family, my wife and I would joke that “the DJ planned the wedding.” As silly as the statement seems, it is free of all exaggeration. Pete was indispensable. We started with a blank sheet of paper and over the phone put together our dream wedding timeline. Pete’s knowledge and experience were remarkable. He arranged our events, paying particular attention to time buffers to ensure nothing felt rushed or stressful and created detailed timelines for both our ceremony and reception. He helped us fit it all together. All of our vendors on our wedding day were operating off of Pete’s timeline, even the coordinators! Everything went off without a hitch on our wedding day. The timeline Pete created was perfect. We are so grateful to him for all the work he put into it! On our wedding day, we had Pete play the acoustic guitar during our ceremony. His acoustic rendition of the song we chose was beautiful and could not have been better. He is a brilliant guitarist. During cocktail hour, we asked Pete to play the acoustic guitar and sing. We left the song choices up to him. There is something classy and beautiful about having live music. Pete’s performance made the cocktail hour more memorable and enjoyable for our guests. As the cocktail hour was finishing, many of our guests came over to us and complimented us on both the song choices and the musician. It was a great feeling! We learned the importance of having good music and a good emcee/DJ. Pete kept the day flowing just as planned through gentle announcements and directions to our guests. I have been to events where there is dead time and guests are unsure what is next or what to do. Pete made sure our day flowed like an absolute dream. Music sets the mood. We gave Pete a list of songs from a specific genre to play during dinner. He added to our list with great songs from that genre. As my wife and I went around to various tables to say hello, almost all of our guests complimented the music. We loved the collection Pete put together. While Pete’s passion for playing live music is undeniable, he is also a great DJ. During the dancing portion of the evening, Pete kept the dance floor going. My wife and I had no idea what types of music were best for dancing. Just like during cocktail hour, we gave Pete total control over song choice. He masterfully mixed today’s popular hits, yesterday’s classics, and the exact number of slow songs needed to ensure everyone at the wedding, young and old, had a great time! Pete provided great expertise and helped us iron out details in our planning that undoubtedly would have caused stress on our wedding day without his help. Pete allowed us to pick songs we wanted to hear, blacklist songs we didn't, and brushed up on songs from his portfolio we wanted him to play when we walked into the ceremony. I can't say enough about how important it is to have a professional to run music and emcee your wedding, and I am so grateful we found Pete. We especially appreciated Pete after attending other weddings leading up to ours without a professional DJ/emcee. Pete kept the day on track, kept the guests engaged and entertained, and removed any stress related to keeping the schedule. Pete was fantastic when the big day arrived. He showed up on time and managed all his setup perfectly because he had scouted the location before the big day so that everything went smoothly (Wow!). Pete was prompt to respond to our online inquiry and worked with us through the entire wedding planning process, even bringing our attention to potential issues that we didn't foresee as novice DIY planners. He helped us develop a perfect timeline for the ceremony and the reception. During the reception, he did a fantastic job of guiding guests to be in the right place at the right time and subtly emcee-ing without making his personality the center of attention (something we'd seen some DJs do and we were wary of). Pete learned two custom songs for us, and sang and played guitar for most of the ceremony and some of the reception. Our guests were impressed and remarked over and over again what a fun and personal wedding experience it was. I know I'm biased, but it was the best wedding I've ever attended and if we could do it all over again, we would hire Pete for round 2!

I've also realized through this process I am somewhat picky when it comes to song selection as my wife and I preferred more nontraditional wedding music. While we mixed in a few classics, I was able to select many songs which weren't in the online software's library and Pete built a perfect setlist from them! The dance floor was going all night!!! Lastly, one of the most incredible things Pete did for us was perform our first dance song live. What made this special for us was not only the amazing performance but the fact that he took the time to learn an unknown song by ear because it had no sheet music available and he mastered it! We had so many compliments on his performance and even a few people who didn't even realize he was performing live because it sounded so good! Pete really went above and beyond for us and we will be forever grateful. He is a true professional and most definitely worth every penny. Pete made our wedding truly unforgettable!

Everything had to be done over the phone. My husband is a drummer and music is very important to both of us. We wanted someone special that could understand that and also be able to get the crowd up and enjoying themselves. We looked at several different DJ's. Yes, there were others that less money, but as the saying goes - you get what you pay for. What impressed us and caught our attention was Pete's website. It was extremely professional AND he is also a musician. We sent Pete a note that we were interested and explained our situation. Pete was more than accommodating. He scheduled our first phone meeting and we were hooked from there. We knew immediately that he was the man for the job. Pete is more than organized and his professionalism is over the top! Don't tell Pete this, but he is also a wedding planner - he put the whole timeline together which honestly I don't know what I would have done without him. Pete’s work was seamless. The only negative thing I have to say - prior to the ceremony he sang and played guitar to our guest as they waited. We didn’t have a video of it so I could be blessed by his amazing voice! Seriously though, with all of Pete’s work it was like he had known us for years and knew exactly what we wanted. We picked some of the music but also gave him the freedom to be creative. Pete's services are slightly higher priced than what we saw as the average price for a DJ BUT with the musician side of things, and just his general demeanor throughout the wedding night, hiring Pete was worth every single penny. Jake and I were not very much help to Pete in regards to music selection. I think we may have filled out two "Do Not Play Songs" and one or two "Must Plays." From there Pete took the reins and perfectly captured our personalities on the dance floor and during the ceremony. We tapped into all of Pete's talents and had him play guitar and sing during the ceremony and cocktail hour; and then, DJ during the reception. I cannot stress enough how easy and nice it was working with Pete. I didn't have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day (ie: sound set up, moving equipment, the sound itself, timeline,) Pete made it all happen. Highly recommended!!

ood musician/DJ/emcee was one of the most important things for us because we knew that a good musician and entertainer would help set the tone for the day, keep the energy flowing, and keep our guests engaged. Instead of looking for a separate ceremony musician, cocktail hour musician, and DJ/emcee, we were lucky enough to find very positive wedding website reviews on Pete, who happened to fill all those shoes. We checked out his website and immediately fell in love with his classical guitar music samples. We knew right after our initial phone meeting that we wanted Pete to be part of our wedding day. We could tell that he was polite, professional, informative, and most importantly passionate about his work. The planning process was extremely smooth. We spoke a few more times on the phone, but we were able to do a lot of planning through email exchanges. He helped us develop a music timeline and worked with our coordinator to make sure the timeline ran smoothly. He provided a website for us to make our music requests. We requested live performance of "Leather and Lace" for our first dance, and he learned it. We made our own wedding slideshow, and he even went beyond our expectations by helping us with some last minute AV issues. He was very organized and prepared, which gave us a lot of peace of mind heading into the wedding day. On the wedding day, his live music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and special dances sounded even better than advertised on his samples website! We actually had a few guests approach us throughout the day to comment on how amazing the live performances sounded. During the reception, he kept the crowd very energized and kept the party going on the dance floor all night. Highly recommended!!

d DJ our wedding. We thought that was very unique, and it was for sure. He was also very unique in how closely he worked with us on planning out the details. He cared so much, and took time to chat with us on the phone multiple times to make sure everything was perfect and what I had in mind. Our wedding was also different because the reception was a 2 floor venue. I was so worried about the transition, but Peter handled it like a pro. It was sooo seamless. He also killed the classical music at the ceremony and cocktail hour. His classical skills are beyond words, and he made our day seem like a dream. If anyone is in need of musical needs I recommend Peter above anyone!

event in general. It was so thorough, I sent out that timeline to everyone--photographers, venue, bridal party. It was amazing; everything was planned right down to the minute. Second, he coordinated amazingly well with the venue and other vendors. He did a walk-through of our venue a couple of weeks before the wedding, and was so kind to the venue staff, we received an email from them complimenting him. When there were hitches in event timing (we were very behind due to late relatives that got lost), Pete helped make adjustments that kept the event alive. Were we listening solely to our other vendors, we might have inadvertently killed the event early. But Pete, with his years of experience and expertise, knew exactly how to best keep the party going. He got so many people on the dance floor! I don't think I've been to a wedding that had that many people dancing! Third, Pete ensured that we approved each specific track (multiple times). After we selected a track (by name), he would put the song in a file so that we could double-check that he had the correct version. This process of drafting and approving was done multiple times, until we reached a finalized setlist. This level of detail and professionalism was impressive at first, but then proved to be even more impressive later when at the wedding, someone tried to get Pete to change the song mid-play, saying that he was playing the wrong song. Other DJs may have folded under that kind of pressure, but not Pete. He politely told our guest that the music was correct and kept cool and focused. Fourth, Pete is the best bang for your buck. Between his expertise, his experience, his flexibility, his DJ AND guitar playing skills, he is probably one of the best choices we made for our wedding. There are many things that I wish I could have changed about our day, but Pete is not one of them. I would choose Pete for our wedding a million times over. Thank you so much for everything, Pete! I will continue to sing your praises and refer you to anyone and everyone I know.

The whole process with Pete is easy (every brides dream with the crazy planning process). He has a website for all your planning/music needs and was always quick to respond to any questions. Pete is not only an amazing DJ/MC but he is also an amazing singer/guitar player. We had Pete play acoustic for our ceremony, including a Sara Bareilles song for me to walk down the aisle and he nailed it. He then proceeded to play for our cocktail hour before transitioning into the DJ/MC role for our ceremony. We are so happy we chose to have Pete at our special day because he went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect. He is the best at what he does.

Pete composed an amazing timeline that we were able to rely on for the event generally, and he coordinated amazingly well with the venue and other vendors. When there were hitches in event timing (late relatives are always amazing, am I right?), Pete helped make adjustments that kept the event alive. Were we listening solely to our photographers, we might have inadvertently killed the event early (though the photographers had the best intentions in light of us losing photography time before the ceremony). Pete also ensured that we approved each specific track, and he could of course modify tracks as needed. He delivers everything you need, and the price was reasonable as well. Unless you are going to rent your own equipment and run the iPod/computer (which likely requires someone to manage it for the night, or at least ensure others don't tamper with it), Pete is likely your best choice out there.

it is to have a great DJ to set the "tone" for your wedding. Pete did not disappoint! He was very professional and made it easy to choose the songs on the "play" and " Do not play" list. He also had an extensive list of songs which was great!!! We had recently moved to Ohio from California and so we could not meet him in person to talk about the planning of the wedding and songs etc. As the bride i was freaking out planning everything from a distance but he could have not been nicer and made it so easy to plan everything, over the phone and via email, while we were in Ohio! He did a sound check before the wedding with 1 of my bridesmaids who married us which was helpful for her as well. After my wedding i found out that a few of my friends tried to request some songs that were on my "do not play" list and he held his ground and did not play them which is AWESOME!!!! LOL!! We also asked Pete to introduce each of our wedding parties into the reception with inside jokes and bios on each of them and he had no problem doing that and did a great job! He worked very well with all of our other vendors and planned a flawless timeline with me and them! I heard nothing but great reviews from our guests after our wedding!! Everything went on without a hitch! I would definitely recommend him!!!

Over our phone calls he also learned about us to get a feel about our taste in music to ensure the dance floor always had people on it. He has a very relaxed demeanor to him which on a slightly stressful day makes him great to work with. Finally, Pete was very professional and punctual which was very important to us on our important day. I would highly recommend him to anyone getting married in the area.

Pete was the perfect solution-- he was able to play & sing acoustically for our cocktail hour to create that intimate feeling, but then smoothly transitioned to lighting up the dance floor with hit after hit. He did a great job of blending the songs we chose beforehand, following the guests' lead, and taking into account they style of music and my husband and I like (early 2000s boy bands & country for me, 90s hip hop for my husband). My guests are still raving about how much fun they had on the dance floor and how fantastic the music selection was. Prior to the wedding, Pete did a great job of helping us pick our music and was so easy to work with. He did an hour long Facetime session with us and even came to scope out our venue 1 week prior to our wedding. Pete played a huge role in the success of our wedding day. Our guests had such a blast and we're thankful to Pete for being a big part of that. HIRE HIM, you won't regret it!

Our wedding was at the Harvest Inn which has four site locations, one for ceremony, one for cocktail hour, and although dinner and dancing are close to eachother one is inside and one was out so the set up was different. He spent time going over the lay out with me and went into specifics for what would be necessary for the venue, he has so much knowledge and experience and was so easy AND FUN to work with!! He isn't only a DJ but also MC and he plays beautiful guitar!! He played live music for the pre ceremony seating and the cocktail hour! Dinner music was perfect and when it came time do dance he kept the energy level up all night! Pete really went above and beyond to make us happy, he was so great! Would love to use him for another event, Pete has it all!!

Once we hired him, he was always available for any questions we had and made sure he kept in touch with us about things he needed in order for us to have the best wedding. To be honest, before him, we didn't realize how important good music and a good DJ are to a wedding, but once we really started getting into the meat and potatoes of it, he showed us how involved he would be, and how invested he was into giving us the greatest wedding ever. Once we did the timeline with him, he organized it into a very helpful sheet that we sent out to the rest of our vendors to use. Without that, things would have been a lot more disorganized. He understood all the requests we had and made good on them. On the actual wedding day, he was there early and set up everything perfectly, and he made our wedding a wonderful, wonderful event. He kept everything on track as possible while constantly gauging the mood of the crowd during the reception and always keeping them interested. We were so very lucky to find Pete to do our wedding. I wouldn't have wanted any one else doing what he did on that day, and it showed as everything went so smoothly. Pete is the MAN!!!!!!!!! Thank you, Pete!
