What is never acceptable is the mother and stepfather of the bride kept coming on/behind stage after being told repeatedly professionally that access to the stage area after light racks, speaker stands, DJ console and power/speaker cords were set up was not allowed, adding their own smart comments as they continued to do so. The storage closet behind the set up was NOT for use by the wedding party; it stored the event tables and chairs owned by the venue. No one is allowed access to the stage (especially behind it) after set up due to insurance liability and safety reasons. I did not scold anyone. I did tell Francine, in front of the two, that they had to stay off the stage and that I had explained this to her during planning. She acknowledged that and apologized. I told her I wasn't blaming her, but that she, as my booking contact, needed to help me get the point across to her in-laws. No one threatened to leave. Yes, not the most pleasant conversation, but I was not rude. Some people can't handle NO, regardless of how gentle it is expressed. Try walking up on a stage or backstage at any show, night club, concert, festival, etc and see what happens to you. The bride told me to play "booty music" shortly after dinner and the cake cutting. I told her that I had the booty music that she requested on her song list. I was not snarky and I played all of her requests without any comment; which created its own problem when half the room then emptied in the next 30 minutes due to half the guests being over 50. But that's another story. The bride obviously already had a problem with me after the 'please stay off the stage" moment with her parents. On the bright side, Weddingpro says getting reviews like this makes your review list look "more Real" lol. Here's to looking Real. Now that's snarky :-)

the Balcony on Church St. in Fairhope (a beautiful venue). What a partying crowd! They literally danced all night. One of the reasons: Erin took the time to fill out her dance request list. It was a great help in building the perfect dance list for her wedding reception guests.

ng a tropical storm warning. The beach ceremony was moved inside due to the monsoon squalls and tropical force winds. Everyone took the weather in stride and we had a blast celebrating with the bride and groom!

lient tools were. She NEVER completed any of them. Things did not run smoothly, either. Ceremony live playlist was incomplete, Bridal party introduction list left blank, and special dance songs not listed. All of my attempts to secure this info in advance were ignored. The highlight of the evening's end was the bride blaming me for not having her last dance song, which she never listed on the planning form. Amazingly, this is the only song I didn't have, despite her claims to the contrary. I did not argue with her; I asked if anyone had the song and her dad gave me THE ONE song from his I-phone. This all occurred while the second to last song was playing, witnessed by both the venue coordinator and photographer. I mixed it right in and all was well. If I was rude to her MOH, I sincerely apologize. Other than having to ask her to delay her toast at the cake station for 10 minutes while the bride suddenly decided to disappear crying, I had no other dealings with her that I recall. The crying delay was because the bride found out the marriage license had been left at home. After reading the poor reviews she left the venue, venue staff and photographer here, it's clear that Ashley has a problem taking responsibility for not caring enough to give the wedding professionals she hired the assistance and info they needed to give her their best.
