There were multiple moments throughout the night where I caught myself thinking, wow, this guy is incredible, and several guests came up to us both during and after the wedding to say the same. He made sure to include all the songs that were meaningful to us and had an amazing sense of timing. For example, we originally wanted to kick off dancing with “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar, but Tim suggested it might be a little intense to start the night with. We trusted his judgment—and he was absolutely right. When he finally dropped that track later in the night, it was the perfect moment and the energy on the dance floor was unreal. Tim’s timing for all the formal moments was spot-on, and he was professional, responsive, and super easy to work with throughout the entire process. He also helped facilitate a lot of little details we had planned and was always ready to lend a hand. On top of all that, his pricing is incredibly reasonable for the quality of work he delivers. I would 1000% recommend DJ ChizZzik to anyone looking for an amazing wedding DJ—we couldn’t be happier that we chose him!

le around our parents’ age (which they won’t let us post here lol). We live in NYC and our friends and family travelled from all over to celebrate with us in Saratoga Springs. The most important thing to us was that they would have fun at our wedding. My husband and I love music and are both creative people. We thought it was important to partner with vendors who have expertise in their field and passion for what they do, beyond the wedding industry. DJ Chizzzik is such a great example of this. He’s not just a guy who DJs at weddings, he DJs because he truly loves music. When we were doing our research, we were drawn to a video of him spinning vinyl, deftly mixing together different genres, eras, and beats. He has been performing around venues in the capital region for years, and also mentors up-and-coming DJs. There’s a lot of stuff to think about with a wedding, and your DJ can serve as a really important guide for your guests. It’s not just about music, it’s also about knowing where to go next, what’s happening when and where to look in a huge room. DJ Chizzzik sent us a thoughtful questionnaire that made it super-easy for us to think through all the choices we had to make, and made the announcements we needed, without any of the cringe-y stuff a “traditional wedding DJ” tends to lean on. In the questionnaire, we also had a chance to fill in some of our favorite music (we shared a playlist of some songs we love), define the “vibes” for different parts of the evening (cocktail hour, pre-ceremony, songs for specific moments, etc), and add in a “do not play” list. When we chatted live before the wedding, DJ Chizzzik reassured us that we would not feel like we were at a high school dance, which is exactly the vibe I think most couples want to avoid. On our wedding day, everything felt effortless and most importantly, FUN. Our ceremony music was perfectly cued, and went off without a hitch. During the reception, our dance floor was busy from the time it opened to the very last song, when all our guests gathered to celebrate with us. DJ Chizzzik did an impressive job of extrapolating from our initial list of songs, building out different segments that made people want to keep dancing. Reggaeton, disco, hip hop, new wave, Yung Lean, Chaka Khan, Tame Impala. All of these songs came together, invoking memories of the life we’ve been building together, and it felt so special to be surrounded by our closest friends and family. Weeks later, our friends and family are still telling us just how great the music was and how much fun they had. My one piece of advice: If you book DJ Chizzzik, wear shoes you can dance in, because you won't want to stop.
