Also, he was very supportive of my husband's service in the military, which is admirable. I decided against giving this review five stars because I had very high expectations of this service and I didn't feel as though it met those expectations. Without going into too much detail, I would like to share some of my disappointments as I feel it is appropriate to share both the good and bad in a review as such. The sound of the microphone was not loud enough during some important announcements. In particular, no one in the room heard the announcement of the cake cutting. To be honest, I didn't even hear it, but knew it was planned, so I grabbed my husband and we approached the table to cut the cake. We looked around, kind of dumb-founded, and waited a minute for guests to notice we were cutting our cake. In hindsight, we could have approached the DJ station and asked for him to announce it again, but it was just an awkward situation. In addition, some of the songs we had requested for ourselves and the bridal party introduction were incorrect, which was just a bummer. Another disappointment was the fog machine we requested. Because we were the first couple to ever request a fog machine, Joshua had to purchase the machine (which was very kind of him to do), but we paid a very hefty price for it. Understandably, because he wasn't sure how often it would be rented out in the future. The true disappointment with the fog machine was its lack of use. We had agreed, initially, to use it for the first dance and also throughout the night of our reception. Unfortunately, it was only used during our first dance, to which it leaked on the floor thereafter. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I was approached before the speeches, by Joshua, who voiced his disappointment about a dance floor malfunction which ultimately resulted in his inability to record a video of the fog during our first dance. This behavior was not desired and upsetting as our reception began. There were a few other mishaps throughout the night, which were minor and I don't feel need to be highlighted in this review, because after you have a wedding, you understand that mistakes happen that you just have to roll with. The intent of this review is not to damage a reputation that has been built by Joshua and his team. Clearly, there are many five star reviews on this site and many people who were satisfied with his service. I do feel that this review is important and I feel as though it would be a disservice to others if I wasn't completely honest.
