They seamlessly read the crowd, adjusted the vibe when needed, and worked in all of our requested songs with perfect timing. Whether it was coordinating with our timeline or making sure the sound system connected easily (which it did!), everything was smooth and stress-free. The planning and prep leading up to the big day was also fantastic — the office staff was incredibly organized, responsive, and professional. They helped walk us through the timeline, song selections, and made sure every detail was covered so we could just enjoy the night. Max brought such a fun, positive presence to our celebration and truly played a huge role in making our reception unforgettable. I really appreciate they took my concerns about volume into consideration, I was able to actually have conversations with people and be able to hear them just fine. We had a great initial meeting where we were able to cover all the details and provide a general timeline. After that meeting, DJ Connections provided a DJ portal for us to add songs, timelines, and must play/don’t play music. It was nice to be able to work on that independently and then check in with any questions. We had a phone call a few weeks before to confirm all the details and they immediately sent an updated timeline with the set songs, queues, all factored in. The only weird thing is I don’t think we actually spoke to the actual DJ until the day of. Because this is a company, they assign us a DJ but I don’t remember actually speaking to them. The DJ did a great job with all the announcements and on the go mic adjustments for speeches since we were seated a bit further from the speakers. He did a great job handling guest song requests and read the energy well. All of our guests had a great time! We were worried that not many people would be interested in dancing but the DJ did an amazing job catering to our crowd. Everyone was on the dance floor and dancing until the end! The DJ had a couple minor technical difficulties but recovered quickly and otherwise everything was flawless. We were very impressed and would recommend DJ Connections for couples looking for a DJ that checks all the boxes: DJ/MC, unlimited time, clear contract details, and the ability to accommodate setup at two sites (given they aren’t too far away from one another).

During the walk of the bride, my stong stopped before I ever even made it to the aisle, leaving me in utter silence as I walked. It was mortifying. The music then picked back up (at the beginning) just as I got to the end. Of all of the things to mess up on a wedding day, the walk of the bride ain't it. To make matters worse, my husband and I's first dance song had an entire verse cut out of it. Now, my husband spent 6 months before our wedding taking dance classes and choreographing a whole number for our first dance, which led to an exceptionally disappointing out come. The DJ himself was very friendly and did his best to make up for the errors where he could, but messing up on the two most pivotal moments of a wedding is just... unacceptable.

What DJ Connections does it takes notes and expects that DJ to take the notes and create the day how the bride and groom want. If we were able to speak to the DJ ourselves before our wedding day, we believed he would have been more successful. The DJ did not say our last name correctly, play our songs for dancing on our list, had to be told to turn up the music and told the schedule by the bride step by step. The DJ was young and did his best to take back feedback as the night went along. We didn't do our last dance because the vibe wasn't there. Guest at the end of the night had to help him backup and move his gear.

The entire playlist was songs that we had requested, each song played in full. There was no mixing of songs or reading the crowd.

We had a finalizing call about a week before the wedding which was helpful in confirming detail and timeline for the ceremony and reception. DJ Jason did a great job with helping to keep the night on track and adjusting the song list to help get more people on the dance floor. Highly recommend!

I had specifically in consultation calls said I didn’t want any “corny typical” wedding songs and we had Love Shack and We Are Family play and I wanted to die internally to where I actually left the dance floor. We voiced this to the company and were told the DJ was following the crowd’s vibe. The DJ mentioned to me that the system wasn’t working to play the songs we had selected in which case I would have preferred to just plug in my own downloaded Spotify playlist and play it off that. They should have a backup plan in case this happens. We still had a great wedding, but it’s discouraging to pay money for a service that isn’t done the way you wanted. Not sure the point of selecting out songs that they don’t even play and why there would be more value over “a crowds vibe” than playing the music that people paid you to play. The vibe would have been even more fun with our playlist since we know our friends and family and know they would have been singing to every song.

t this would be fine as there are many screening questions to match you with your DJ for the event. However, our DJ could not have been more different from what we requested. She was extremely low energy. She also was very unprofessional. We did have inclement weather, but as we were trying to figure out how to move forward she disappeared with my coordinators cellphone and no one could find her for about an hour. We ended up having to use my personal waterproof JBL speaker for the ceremony and she didn't even want to help with that. When we told her she would be the one pressing play and switching to the next song she seemed upset. I had the songs queued up and she still managed to start playing "I'm Sexy and I Know It" by LMFAO as I was about to walk down the aisle!!!! She then came running over to me to ask which song it should be because she couldn't remember. She also got my Mom's name wrong when announcing at the reception. She waited to play our dedication songs until the very end of the night when almost everyone had already left. She also didn't play any requests that guests asked her for throughout the night. She was a terrible MC and had no idea how to get the people on the dancefloor or read the room until one of my friends went up to her and told her what to do. She was clearly stressed out by the bad weather, but lacked any professionalism, energy, or spunk to bounce back from it.

Having this option really allowed us to set a mode for the evening, as we did 1940-1960s for dinner and 1940s-1980s during dancing. Our DJ was very kind, however he wasn't very personable. If you would like someone that is more outgoing, I would make sure to mention that! The only thing that wasn't ideal during the evening wasn't really DJ Connections fault, but I feel like I need to mention it. We had two rooms at our venue, a cocktail room and a dinner/dancing room. If announcements were made, those in the cocktail room were unable to hear what was being said. Besides that, everything was wonderful. They even sent us a card after our wedding!

s we had for many of the songs. They played the wrong first dance song 4 times while we stood there. Our coordinator even wrote out what should be played and it was still messed up. The MC had a really awkward and unmotivated energy. They sent us a young girl who seemed inexperienced. She didn’t announce our speeches, and missed out on all of the announcements we asked to be made. Even though we had our customer service call to confirm everything the week before, it was disastrous. Topping it off, she played the same cascada song 5 times, and most of our playlist, dedications, etc were forgotten. While the night was still very memorable & fun, DJ Connection was the worst part of it. The only saving grace was that some of our music played, and our processional song was at least correct, and their pricing is affordable. I guess you get what you pay for.

ut when I put my deposit down they said I would be able to talk to the DJ a week or 2 before my wedding and that didn’t happen. Instead it was another representative from the company. During the last call I told them my mom wanted to add a song that I wasn’t to know about. The representative said that was fine. When she contacted them they gave her a hard time. I feel like that is where it went down hill. Me and my husband didn’t meet our DJ until after the ceremony and before walking into the reception. We had DJ Diallo and even after just meeting us, when he called us into the reception he called us by the wrong last name. I don’t understand how that happened it wasn’t even close.. During the whole event I had to keep coming up to him to make sure he was on track because he wasn’t announcing the next events. For example he didn’t give my guest warning when the toast were. My dad was outside helping someone so we had to skip him until the end. My videographer was eating on her break and didn’t have enough time to set up her camera for my maid of honors speech, so now all I have is the voice recording and a black screen in my video. When I talked to the representative a few day prior to my wedding and at the initial call I said I wanted a song where I went to every table for a picture. And most likely due to confusion from the company and my DJ he had everyone group together for a picture. During the group picture he wasn’t playing any music at all? After my wedding is when I saw that a lot of people in Colorado are having issues with this company and giving them bad reviews. Which I had seen them sooner. I now know that a DJ can make or break the event and unfortunately there were a lot of mess ups during our wedding!

the reception, he didn’t play a mix of music. It was basically all oldies which we aren’t even a fan of. I felt like I had to guide him through choosing the music all night.

There were only about 70 people at my wedding but the dance floor was full all night! Can’t beat it for the great service and great price.

n time and played just about every song on our list! I would hire him back for sure. The day went fairly smooth, though there were some technical difficulties on a couple songs. I was a bit disappointed that we couldn’t get our private last dance song to play on the speakers, but ultimately I’m glad the DJ improvised to play it on his phone. Better than nothing, and we still soaked in the moment! There is a couple things I wish were planned differently to avoid some disconnects that happened throughout the evening. Firstly, they have a wonderful portal for you to input all the songs you want played throughout the evening. It is organized in categories that make sense like MUST PLAY SONGS, First Dance, etc. However, gathering all this information means nothing if it isn’t translated to the DJ in a way that ensures perfect execution! I don’t blame the DJ as it seems he was just following instructions. I think the gaps could have been filled by a change in their system. We were scheduled to speak with a representative of DJ Connection about a week before our wedding. We were asked questions about our wedding timeline and solidified the vibe we wanted as well as the details of how everything would happen. As I said before, it was very detailed and well thought out. We requested to have this conversation with the DJ, but they told us they don’t typically do that. I think that’s a big mistake! I think it would be a good idea to have this conversation maybe 1-2 months before the big day and then have another meeting scheduled with the DJ the week before the wedding to solidify everything that was planned out. At the very least, the final meeting should include the DJ. Overall, it just seems there’s a disconnect between the DJ’s and the company. I feel a simple step like this could possibly bridge that gap as it’s not usually as simple as the DJ executing what is written down on a plan. Some things get lost in translation that way and a face to face meeting or a phone call looping in the DJ would prevent those, I feel. It also gives us an opportunity to get to know the DJ, which I feel is important for a great experience! Ultimately, if I were to do this again, I would request to meet with our DJ beforehand and make sure they are clear on our wants and desires. They need to hear it from the couple, not just the company!
