My Name is Damien Williams, alongside my wife Lori Williams. I'm Owner of DJ Damien Events. I've been a wedding Dj for the past 10 years. After serving in the U.S. Army for the past 17 years, I finally retired (yeah) and became part time wedding Dj. I don't need to bore you with the typical Dj pitch, I've done these many events, I have this type of equipment (Blah Blah Blah) my reviews can tell that story. You want the real reason why you should book me to be your entertainment? The answer to that questions is simple, peace of mind, knowing you've hired someone with a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to weddings and private events. I treat every wedding like it's the Super Bowl. It's one and down, you can never recapture important events during a wedding or any private event. Attention to detail is very important. Making clear and concise announcements. Being able to bring the soundtrack to any event to life. Connecting with client and their guest.

lay most of the songs we specifically requested, and only a few of our “must play” selections were actually played….at the very end of the night, after nearly everyone had already left.
It’s one thing to curate a vibe, but it’s another to disregard the bride and groom’s song list and guest requests altogether. Typically at weddings, when guests or the couple make song requests, they’re played fairly soon to keep the energy up. That didn’t happen here. The timing and song choices felt out of sync with the flow of the night. My husband and I feel robbed of the energetic and fun reception that we had always dreamed of with the music. Of course we made lemonade out of lemons and managed to make it a good time, but that was no thanks to the DJ.
Going forward, I’d encourage Damien to be more attentive to the couple’s requests and timing rather than relying solely on his own preferences. Music sets the tone for the entire reception and unfortunately, this time, it really missed the mark.

e loved hearing a mix of classic 80s with a dash of country and love songs thrown in. My mom and I danced to a mashed up song which we had sent to Damien, but he had most of the other special songs in his repertoire.
We did our best to outline the kinds of music we wanted to hear and what our guests requested which for the most part he played, but my husband had to remind him to play certain songs that we had said were “musts”. The only song he didn’t have was the song we requested as the last dance, which if I had known I would have sent to him as well (Eddie Money – Take Me Home Tonight). Damien did play music that kept the dance floor going the entire night, but there were no slow songs to break up the energy which in retrospect I wish we had asked for. He was very reasonably priced and after meeting with us at the reception location, suggested up-lighting which was pretty in the space.
