DJ Dan Maui

DJ Dan was the best DJ we could have asked for on our wedding day! After the wedding I had many people asking me for the wedding playlist, but I had only sent Dan about 30 songs total split into two playlists. Everyone was ‘upset’ that I didn’t have the full playlist to share with them since Dan really took control and set the mood the entire day. He mic’d us for the ceremony and took requests all night, making sure to fit in all the vibes. Everyone loved DJ Dan and so did we! Beyond being great the day-of, he was amazing leading up to our wedding and was there to meet us during the venue tour as well. We assembled the perfect team for our big day at the Olowalu Plantation House on Maui, ending up with 35 guests there to help us celebrate our love. We had beautiful table arrangements and leis from Val at MauiWeddingFlowers.net, delicious appetizers and dinner from FFTS, a great tone set by DJ Dan throughout the day, and priceless help from Tina at FFTS every step of the way. Despite many setbacks leading up to our big day, our team were all on the same page and able to accommodate last minute changes. We couldn’t have asked for a better day to become one, so thank you Dan so much for being a part of making that happen. I cannot recommend DJ Dan enough for your wedding day or any event, big or small, you will not regret it!

First off, Dan did an excellent job with all of the DJ/MC duties at our wedding but really more importantly, Dan is such a fun and caring guy and that shines through working with him. We delayed our wedding for over two years due to COVID and Dan would send us emails about how excited he was for us to finally walk down the aisle and he seriously was our personal hype man for the big day. He truly felt like he was part of the family. Dan is both an amazing DJ and awesome person and I highly recommend him for your event, you will not regret it!

DJ Dan is simply the BEST! I am so thrilled that we got to work with him for our wedding. The music for the reception was really important to my dad, so DJ Dan worked with him via email for weeks in preparation for the big day. Dad, along with our entire family, had glowing reviews about him! He was so kind to me and all of the guests. He even pulled me aside briefly before the ceremony to tell me how beautiful my dress was—which was so kind and generous and really helped to settle my nerves before the wedding. The ceremony and reception music was absolutely spot on and we were grooving and dancing into the night! Despite my family having super specific requests/concepts for the father/daughter dance and our first dance, DJ Dan delivered our vision into a beautiful reality! Not only is he incredibly professional, but he is also personable, kind, and the most generous soul. We absolutely loved working with him! Thank you for everything, DJ Dan!

DJ Dan was so much fun. As dinner came to a close it was time to transition to dancing and DJ Dan orchestrated that perfectly. He was so helpful in getting the speeches started and keeping them short, as well as helping set up the cake cutting so our photographer could capture the perfect shot. He was excellent at getting our guests on the dance floor, every single one of them, and kept the party going. We are so grateful that he was able to keep our intimate wedding going all night:)

Wow DJ Dan is truly the best! He was an amazing MC and helped guide our wedding reception. DJ Dan is so kind, sweet and sincere and he makes sure that you have the best day ever! He played all of the music that we requested and even played all of the traditional Polish music that I wanted. He was able to access all of the songs that we wanted and curated a playlist that me, my husband and all of our guests loved. Our dance floor was packed the entire night! DJ was great!! He played great music and did such a great job of getting our guests on the dance floor and dancing. Everyone danced all night long! He also was a great MC. I would use him again if I had to do it all over again. Thanks, DJ for helping out wedding dreams come true.

Dj Dan knows his stuff! Like a lot of weddings, we had a mix of ages and generations. He played music that everyone loved and knew! A challenge I assure you! We had our wedding aboard the "Pride of Maui" and it was difficult finding a DJ willing to work on a boat, and harder still to find one that had experience working with the venue already! DJ Dan is so easy to work with! Since I'm from the mainland, I was a little worried about all the people I'd hired, without ever meeting them, but believe me, I'd hire DJ Dan again without question! He kept the party going the entire time! No time for rest, cause it's time to party! Thanks so much for making my wedding so much fun! You're the best!

DJ Dan was absolutely amazing at our wedding! We had a smaller party, and initially I was afraid it would be awkward to have a DJ. Little did I know, DJ Dan was way more than just a DJ; he helped our wedding reception flow smoothly and beautifully! He has so much enthusiasm and is personable, supportive, and encouraging. He was the perfect emcee and we couldn't have asked for someone better! I was unaware of the time throughout the wedding, but he made sure that everything moved according to timeline and facilitated the evening seamlessly. He played the music I requested, but with DJ Dan, you can just relax as he is so experienced reading the crowd and knows exactly the right music to play. I can't imagine our wedding without him! He seemed more of a friend than a DJ, and we all loved him! I am so happy that I chose DJ Dan to be a part of our wedding, and I would work with him again in a heartbeat for any event! Had Dan for my wedding recently. When the bridal party arrived we were supposed to go straight into the first dance. We realized that we didn't fix the bustle for my dress after pictures so we had to do that before the dance... it was annoying that dan had to announce that to everyone. And instead of playing music to distract from it he just left it silent. For dinner time I had requested country music to be played, he played a couple country songs, but mixed in his own stuff. During cake cutting he had to announce to everyone that we had engraved cake knives. All the commentary on the details was just unnecessary.

DJ Dan was amazing for our wedding! He worked closely with us before and during the wedding. He calmed us with great advice and coached us through the reception dinner in addition to being a DJ. We felt 100% comfortable with DJ Dan.

DJ Dan is nothing short of amazing! He has such a great personality and really know how to work the crowd. We were so happy to have him as a part of our wedding day. He showed up early and even took some pics for us. Ah so amazing! I love his easy going attitude and guidance. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Book him for your wedding, you won't be disappointed.

DJ Dan was our wedding DJ, and emcee. He played music for part of our cocktails, then throughout dinner and the reception. He is fantastic to work with, very accommodating, helpful, responsive to inquiries, and friendly. We sent our music list a couple of weeks before the wedding, and he did his best to play as many of our songs as possible (the list was very long), and played all of our specified songs (entrance, cake cutting, garter/bouquet, first dance, last dance) with no problems. We also asked Dan to be the emcee and he did a great job! He was very professional but was still funny and helped everyone enjoy the evening, made all of our requested announcements about special things, moderated our shoe game and garter/bouquet tosses, and kept us on schedule. He accepted requests from our guests, and was very easy going with time changes and additions/removals of services prior to the wedding as we finalized things. One thing we really enjoyed and appreciated was during our cocktails, Dan came over to my Husband and I and introduced himself and had a really genuine chat with us about himself and marriage and wished us well. Our wedding ended up being on US Thanksgiving (we are Canadian, so we were unaware of this during planning), and Dan had no issue with this and did not upcharge for his services due to the holiday. We highly recommend Dan for a seamless evening of fun/appropriate music. You will not be disappointed if you book Dan to DJ your event, and will leave the event with a new friend made in Dan. Amazing!!!!! Dan was the DJ for our wedding and from the first contact he made with us we felt at ease. He reassured us that he was there to make our day stress free and fun and he did just that. He played a wide array of music and fulfilled all of our guest's requests. If you are having an event on Maui I would highly recommend DJ Dan!!!

You can't go wrong with DJ Dan! He is laid back and truly enjoys his job! It was an easy choice for us to pick DJ Dan, but we did meet with him when we were on a brief trip to Maui, which confirmed he was the right choice for us. We instantly felt like we were friends and gave us some suggestions of types of music to request (and to make a list of any songs that we didn't want played during our wedding). All of our guests had a blast dancing and requesting songs. DJ Dan also acted as our MC for the night and made us all laugh and enjoy the evening. My cousin and his wife even requested a special song to tango to... DJ Dan was able to find the song and played it for them. If you want a relaxed DJ that really enjoys what he is doing and will make you and your guest have fun, go with DJ Dan! :)

We feel very fortunate to have had DJ Dan at our destination wedding at Sugar Beach Events in Maui. If you like very positive, happy, upbeat, responsive, flexible, accomodating, motivated people, you'll love DJ Dan. My husband and I work very, very full time jobs in Seattle and have 3 kids and 2 dogs - extra time is not a common luxury for us and DJ Dan was supportive, encouraging and patient with me both before and during the wedding. I spent months collecting song titles through Shazam, Spotify and requests from the kids because music means so much to me and I wanted it to be "perfect" . DJ Dan said he could accomodate any music requests and would do whatever I needed. My coordinator encouraged me to relax: "you don't need to give DJ Dan a specific playlist, he knows how to read the crowd and he knows music. Just tell him what you don't want and a few songs that you do want and trust him." So I let go (very hard for me) and I didn't even give him my ceremony music choices until the morning of our wedding!! He was so supportive and encouraging, I felt like I had made the best choices on the planet. :) I think I received compliments about DJ Dan and the music from just about everyone who attended our wedding. I can't say enough good things about him and highly, highly recommend him. Our ceremony music: Marry You by Bruno Mars while the wedding party danced up the aisle, Thunderstruck by AC/DC right before I walked down the aisle because 2 hurricanes were supposed to hit Maui on the day of our wedding , I walked down the aisle to I Choose You by Sara Bareilles. Our recessional was Best Day of My Life by American Authors, first dance was I Wanna Grow Old With You by Adam Sandler in the Wedding Singer followed quickly by a group dance to Macklemore's Can't Hold Us. He guided us during the cake cutting and took song requests like a champ. He was a critical part of our special day and is a wonderful person. Mahalo, DJ Dan!!

DJ Dan knows how to keep the party going. He is not only a great DJ, but this guy know how to MC too. He is amazing! He feeds off the crowd and does not stop. He is such a nice guy and offered his help all along the way of our wedding planning. He can make great recommendations and knows most of the vendors you will probably be working with. I want to go back to Maui just to find another reason to hire Dan and jam to his tunes.

DJ Dan is a great emcee & DJ. He was funny, dressed for the occasion and very professional. He is also very easy to communicate with and played all of our favorite songs. He definitely got everyone up and dancing and kept everyone in great spirits even up to the last song. I would definitely recommend him.

Dan is a blessing! I have never met anyone who loves his job more than Dan. His passion for weddings is magical and his professionalism is reassuring. You cannot go wrong with Dan. He will put your nerves at ease, keep things moving along, make all your announcements, provide lighting, as cell as all your ceremony music needs. Dan is NOT on island time. He operates like he is on the mainland and responded to all my emails within a day. I cannot stress enough how important it is to be able to get a hold of all your vendors. Choose wisely as many are slow to respond to calls and emails. Dan is not one of them….he basically allowed us to relax and enjoy the night without having to check the clock every few minutes. He lifted a major weight off our shoulder. He also knows his stuff and can get you any song on site since he brings his Mac with his for the reception. You cannot go wrong with DJ Dan.

I'm a big music guy and I was VERY hesitant to hand the reigns to a man I'd never met, to run our wedding playlist. But Dan was great from word one!!! I gave him some songs for each portion of the night and he wrapped his playlist around the moods and songs I wanted him to evoke. Top notch in all aspects!!! I highly recommend him!!!!!

DJ Dan was part of our wedding reception at the Sheraton Maui Black Rock. From the first time I made contact with him via email he was very professional & prompt- always responding to my emails within a day. The day of the wedding I literally only gave him 3 songs that were of importance (Bride/Groom, Bride/FOB, Groom/MOG songs) and a list of songs that guests had requested on their RSVP's. With that DJ Dan was able to keep the night hopping and the dance floor full. During the dinner hour I felt like he was playing my very own Pandora channel - playing songs that I love that aren't part of mainstream music -- how he did that I have no idea but was so impressed!! We felt so much love at our wedding and Dan definitely helped with that! Strongly recommend him to anyone wanting a quality, professional DJ!!

I had a destination wedding in Maui, Hawaii last week. I looked for a DJ that had great reviews and a great price and found DJ Dan. I was still a little unsure of my decision when my Wedding Coordinator told me that she had worked with DJ Dan before and highly recommended him. It's hard to plan a wedding from far because everyting feels a little unsure. You don't really know what you are getting yourself into. But let me tell you- DJ Dan is the real deal! He was awesome! Many of our guests commented on his music selection. He pleased such a diverse group of people. He not only had great music but he kept the wedding reception running smoothly with his prompt announcements. He was great to work with. In the beginning process of planning the wedding I thought that I wanted to have great input on the music that was played at our wedding. He was very welcoming of my opinion and my 'wants'. With time I found that I just had ran out of time and let him do his thing. He did not dissapoint! To any bride and groom out there planning their wedding- rest at ease, you are in good hands. DJ Dan will not dissapoint you!

Dan was great ~ very professional, courteous and fun. He stuck to the songs requested by my daughter and son-in-law and added some other fun misc dance music. He kept us on our timeline and kept the party going! Highly recommend!

Working in customer service I can TOTALLY appreciate great SERVICE!!! Dj Dan not only provided us with great attentive service, but a wonderful wedding experience as well! After a few phone calls I felt like he totally understood where I was coming from and what I wanted, even though I didnt. Two completely different family styles and he found music that was appealing to ALL!! Several guest commented on how great the song choices were! I was actually bummed while we were taking pics bc I was missing GREAT songs! We used him for the ceremony and reception - he knew just how EXACTLY I wanted everything - with lil direction :) I gave him a list of some must plays...and some must not play and he filled in all the blanks perfectly. He even was working with my sister (MOH) which I didn't know about, to help her put together a lil rap/speech that was amazing!!! DJ Dan let us pick any music we wanted/didn't want for our wedding and actually played it. I have heard so many horror stories about djs not playing the requested music, but DJ Dan listened to us and followed through. He made sure we were happy. I would not use any other DJ. DJ Dan is the best.

DJ Dan was great. He had a great mix of music that my husband and I loved, and when he found out my husband was getting a UNC groom's cake, he found the UNC fight song. He had everyone dancing all night long!

DJ Dan was amazing! He always found the perfect songs to play and was able to announce every special moment so perfectly. Such a wonderful nice man too! We were extremely pleased.

We could not have picked a better DJ. DJ Dan was very professional, but down to earth and personable. He had a pre wedding phone call, then met us at the location a few days before to walk through everything. We only told him a few songs that we absolutely wanted, then left the rest up to him. DJ Dan is the best DJ I have ever experienced! He was willing to play any songs we wanted but leaving him to select the right songs was the thing to do because he picked the most percfect songs! He picked out songs for us better than I think we could have picked them out for ourselves! Every single song was so much fun! He really got a feel for the crowd and everyone enjoyed themselves on the dance floor. He also did a great job of introducing us and keeping things flowing seamlessly throughout the night. I couldn't have asked for anyone better to be the DJ! He was so much fun so nice so professional. I want to book him again in the future for some type of even just to be able to have that much fun all over again!
