His music selection was spot on, keeping the dance floor packed all night long. He seamlessly blended our favorite songs with crowd-pleasers, ensuring that every guest had an amazing time. What really stood out was his ability to read the room and adjust the music accordingly. He made sure that every moment, from the ceremony to the last dance, was perfectly timed and memorable. We had DJ Darby for our wedding day and he was so awesome. He sent out a planner before hand where we were able to write every song we wanted as well as share any playlists we made. Then we had a planning meeting over the phone to finalize it all. When it came down to wedding day, he only took requests from the bride/groom which was great because we had previously discussed we had a certain goal for our songs so we didn’t want random requests. He kept the dance floor alive and we all had a great time. Highly recommend him for your event!

DJ Darby did an amazing job at our wedding at Knotted Roots on the Lake. Submitting the song requests for each phase of our wedding was simple and DJ Darby didn't miss a beat. Everyone enjoyed music and he played every request we had! We would absolutely hire DJ Darby as our DJ again should we need one.

Did an amazing job with our wedding. I was so late in getting my questionnaire back but still everything I wanted happened flawlessly. Made sure I was there for all the songs I wanted. Even came to find me and let me know when the song I wanted to dance to was coming up! Would have Darby as my DJ if I had to do it all again.

Darby was absolutely amazing for our wedding! We were two brides and I loved that he had paperwork for that. He was so accommodating and had great suggestions on certain things. We had a few changes day of that needed to be made and he just went with the flow. It was 100% stress free! During our ceremony, we were doing the parent trap handshake and he was on queue with the music for us! The dance floor was popping all night and our guests said it was the most fun they’ve had at a wedding in a long time. Highly recommend using Darby. Dj Darby made our wedding EXACTLY what we wanted!! We had a postponed wedding in March 2020 due to Covid, and rescheduled for November 2020. From the beginning Darby was very responsive, easy to work with, and can tell he really enjoys what he does. He's extremely organized and a true Master of Ceremony. He'll make sure multiple times that he has everyone's name correct, has all the requested songs you want, and have you feeling confident in your wedding day from ceremony to reception. He provides pages of songs to choose from if you so wish, and makes sure to give you the *vibe* you want during all parts of the wedding day. The groom and I mingled a lot throughout the reception, but anytime my feet hit the dance floor, Darby would play a specific song I requested. His attention to detail and ability to keep everyone dancing/fit the mood was outstanding. 10/10 recommend hiring DJ Darby!!

Darby was a pleasure to work with. He took into consideration every song we wanted and didn't want and we got just that for our wedding. Every song he played was great and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Not only was the music phenomenal, he guided the day and all of the events that needed to happen such as cake cutting, dances, and getting people excited. Darby was the DJ at our wedding. He was very professional and reasonably priced. Darby is one of the most competitive priced DJ's I have seen in the market. Not only that he delivers value and exceeded expectations on showmanship. I've seen DJ's get paid and not do anything at weddings when they arrive. That is not the case with Darby. He will make any event memorable.

Darby was absolutely amazing! We were hesitant because of the lack of reviews, but we are so glad we chose to go with him as our DJ! Everything went smoothly from the introductions to the music choices! We weren't sure exactly what we wanted for music and he gave us great suggestions and created a playlist that suited exactly what we envisioned. I would absolutely recommend him!

We really enjoyed working with DJ Darby from DJ by CJ. My husband and I are more into podcasts than music, so making music selections that everyone would enjoy and would be meaning for to us felt like a daunting task. Darby made excellent recommendations for us based on descriptions of experiences and feelings we were going for. He was also happy to buy music on the spot when my dad made a song request for the anniversary dance. He was very flexible with day of changes.

My husband and I HIGHLY recommend DJ Darby! He was hard working, punctual, and accommodating to our specific requests on our wedding day. After meeting him and witnessing how invested he was in providing a top-notch DJ service, we were put at ease knowing he would take care of us on our big day. We requested that the music not be too loud as to allow our guests to be able to have conversations but loud enough that those dancing would have a great time. He executed this perfectly! We did not have a specific song list in mind but instead gave him genres of music and artists we like and through his artistry, he was able to produce the perfect soundtrack for the evening. We also appreciated his attention to detail in pronouncing everyone's names in the wedding party correctly. Overall, we are so very happy we booked DJ Darby for our wedding day!! He exceeded our expectations!!

Darby did an amazing job at our wedding! I can't say enough good things about him. We had a music request line on our RSVPs and asked Darby if he could play at least our top 20 from the list and he said he could absolutely play all of them- nearly 100 songs! Everyone loved hearing "their song" and it helped bring everyone out to the dance floor. He did a great job mixing up the fast and slow songs as well as newer and classic songs! The dance floor was busy all night and everyone raved about how great our DJ was. He was very easy to work with and had a great reception planner sheet to help you think of everything. His personality was also great- he kept the show going without trying to steal the show! We loved him and would recommend him to everyone!

Darby was great!! He even had my grandmother on the dance floor. He also provided us with a bunch of extra lighting for ambiance. Super friendly and not the type to steal the show, which was perfect. We were able to create a list of songs and he filled in the rest and we loved it. We have a very laid back style, but also like to bust a move and he was a perfect fit.

DJ Darby was recommended to my mom by someone who had been at another wedding he had deejayed and gave him rave reviews. He was very easy to work with and has a great sense of humor and personality. We opted to prepay for the option we selected and received a $100 discount which included 4 hours of music, cocktail hour music and uplighting for the venue. The time was up for our reception but the party was not ready to stop and Darby was willing to stay an additional hour for $50 and we greatly appreciated that!
