DJ Dave Lawson

Dave Lawson is a joy to work with. He took all of our great wedding songs and mixed in perfect songs that we didn’t even consider. Our guests were on the dance floor for four hours… Book him now, you won’t be disappointed. As the dancing went on one of my guests shouted “This guy doesn’t miss”, and he wasn’t wrong. Thank you Dave for making my most important day even better :)

Dave is awesome! He was recommended to us by our venue and we are so glad we hired him. He was super helpful with the planning process, helping us think through song choices for various moments when we didn't have a clue what we were doing. He made some great suggestions and provided input respectfully. We hired him for both our ceremony and reception, which made everything so smooth. On the day of, he kept our dance floor full all night long. We loved that he uses vinyl too. I would absolutely recommend Dave!

I should have written this review sooner but here we are almost a year later! Dave was incredibly attentive, genuine and great to work with. He set the vibe for my whole wedding. The music was great, he listened well to what we wanted and worked with us on a pretty chaotic day. We had quite a few issues throughout the day and night but not a single issue with Dave, he just went with the flow and kept things going! I couldn’t recommend a DJ more than him, if you’re looking for someone who isn’t your typical wedding DJ.

Do yourself a favor and hire Dave! Great music and person. He set the tone perfectly for our evening and was so patient, kind, and understanding during our COVID planning (and multiple postponements.) Thank you again!

I picked Dave to DJ our wedding because I loved the fact that he is a vinyl DJ, in addition to the fact that he has great music taste. Dave responded to all my communication right away and was extremely flexible throughout my wedding planning process. My entire wedding commented how great Dave was and everyone was intrigued by the Vinyl setup. Dave is extremely professional and just an all around cool guy. Thank you, Dave!

If you want a dance floor that is going all night long, you need to hire Dave Lawson right now! He had everyone on the dance floor literally from the very beginning to the very end (including myself). Our videographer told us it usually takes her the whole reception to get as much dancing footage as she got for us just within the first song - and trust me, that footage is priceless! In my first meeting with Dave, last year, I told him that being able to have a dance party with all of our favorite people was such an important part of the night for us and he really came through for that, we had a blast! Almost a week later and everyone is still talking about how much fun the dance floor was and how we wish it could’ve lasted longer. Dave was so kind and fun to work with from our first meeting to the day of the wedding! You could tell that he truly wanted to be there and was having a great time - this is clearly more than just a job for him. The vinyl also added just another perfect & special touch to the night for us. It’s one of the main reasons we chose him and we’re so grateful that we did!

DJ Dave is amazing. I knew right from the start I wanted something different for our wedding day, and Dave's vinyl records were just what we were looking for. We played primarily motown and music from the 80's and later... and everyone LOVED IT. We keep hearing rave reviews from our guests on the music selections. Please do yourself a favor and book Dave! He plays the music everyone should appreciate more (no more chicken dances and cha-cha slides). Thank you, Dave, for everything!

Not only was Dave an amazing DJ, (seriously, people were busting moves I have never seen before) he was such an amazingly supportive and helpful member of the team on our big day. There were so many moments where we would say "it'd be great if..." or "can someone... " and Dave was right there ready to help. He worked closely with our sound and lighting people throughout planning and he gave us amazing sweet/ thoughtful advice on our planning call. WE LOVE DAVE. YOU'LL LOVE DAVE. HIRE DAVE and avoid all those cheesy/ lame/ chicken dance loving wedding DJs that you've seen at other weddings.

We hired Dave to DJ our wedding and could not have been happier! The music was amazing and we and all of our guests had a fantastic time on the dance floor. It was the perfect way to celebrate the occasion! Dave was also very flexible and friendly throughout the evening; he's the best!

We had an absolute blast with Dave! When we initially met, we sat and talked through what we were looking for and he was able to pick up and run with it! Multiple guests were requesting the playlist for the night because they had so much fun, which we were able to oblige because Dave was able to record the whole ceremony and reception for us to revisit. Can't recommend enough. When the lights came up at 11 everyone was still ready to boogie!
