Initially working with DJ Dave’s was a wonderful experience. We met with Dave for a consultation and he made the contract and service easy to understand. An important thing to note is that Dave hires other DJs to help with the workload so you may not have him behind the table at your wedding. After hiring him he sent us a link to a somewhat outdated spreadsheet/website to notate our song choices for important moments and update our playlist. For the most part, this was easy to use and understand. We were assigned DJ Josh for our wedding and the experience left us feeling conflicted. For an event that has so many moving pieces you want to feel like you have all things in order and Josh’s “go-with-the-flow” attitude left us feeling like we weren’t on the same page. Overall the DJ’ing for our wedding was pretty great. He listened to our requests during our ceremony and reception events and the mix had our guests on the floor all night. Our biggest complaint stemmed from the fact he only seemed to listen to requests (operational) if they came from the groom, which left the bride and our day of coordinator feeling frustrated, ignored, and disrespected. Overall, the experience could have been better but everything turned out fine.

DJ Dave was great! We provided him with a few spotify playlists so he understood our "music vibe" and he went with it! He did a great job moving the music around our venue as we transitioned from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception, and dancing. Our venue had a dance floor that was not central to the venue and DJ Dave had great techniques to get everyone around and on the dance floor!

DJ Chris was really nice and easy to work with. Very communicative, and flexible with us providing direction and song requests. It’s worth noting that his style was more 2000s Usher/Lil John songs. We created a Spotify playlist and shared it ahead of time, and he did pull from that, but I do wish we could have discussed some of the other choices he was going to make prior to the wedding. Another personal preference on our side is less of the “hype man” style (think “scream if you love __ and __”) so that felt awkward for the general vibe of our wedding. He also did a shout out to each of our vendors like members of a rock band… Separately, and I’m sure there are always snafus/word mixups at weddings, but he referred to us as husband and wife when announcing us at our lesbian wedding. And probably our biggest wish was for him to have left more time for toasts. He cut them off pretty quickly and our families weren’t able to say something, which would have meant a lot to us. Again, a lot of this is subjective to personal preference, but there were a couple hiccups that were tough to look past.

DJ Dave did an AMAZING job for our wedding. He had everyone dancing all night. He was also very helpful in getting the audio linked up for the livestream of our wedding!! Wonderful job and rolled with the punches when we had to move the ceremony inside due to rain.

Dave was great and so helpful to work with! His online form is so helpful to use to make sure that he has all of the information/song requests that he could possibly need for each moment of the night. We met with him first when we were considering his services and as soon as we finished talking with him we were confident we wanted to go with him. He made sure to meet with us again a month out from the wedding to go over all the information that he had and make sure he had all the details he needed, which was really nice to get a chance to talk to him and see how well put together he had everything already, and he was also super flexible with getting us special songs that we requested even up to a day before the wedding. He did a wonderful job hosting/running the reception and keeping everything going and everyone entertained, and we were impressed by his ability to read the room and keep music going that got guests of all ages out on the dance floor.

0/10 for hype. DJ was a quiet nice young man. I'm sorry because he seems so sweet but a DJ should be out going, loud, and get a group hyped up. I left music options were pretty wide open only real request was that there were 3 Turkish songs for family to dance to but those were not played until they were requested, AFTER the photographer and videographer were gone. So my cute little foreign parents are seen only dancing once during my wedding by a couple cell phone pics. I'm sitting 3 tables over from the booth and I don't hear words to music no idea what the songs are but I can hear the instruments so I don't know if that's a equipment issue or something that is a bass/ treble issue that a DJ should find during a sound check sort of thing? What I do know is my husband and I had been taking classes for a month for our first dance so the steps are memorized to the exact song and that our first dance song was not started from the beginning and threw us off so thank you for that wedding memory. I really expected much better after speaking with the DJ over the phone I was feeling at ease but was really disappointed in the end. Did not RUIN my wedding by any means but seems more appropriate for a middle school dance.

Initially we were planning on going the "playlist on an iPod" route but at the last minute decided we wanted a DJ. We reached out to Dave and found out he was available on our wedding day, so we booked him two weeks before the wedding! We filled out a questionnaire all about our wedding where we provided the information about what things we planned to do during the reception and what songs we wanted to accompany them if we had a specific song in mind. We decided that we wanted to play the shoe game and Dave came prepared with questions to ask and did an amazing job hosting the game. It was a blast to play and was a big hit with our guests. Dave did an amazing job emceeing the evening and ensuring we knew what was coming up. Our families are not very big dancers, but Dave did an amazing job with the music selection and getting everyone out on the dance floor! The biggest surprise was that Dave brought along a tv and was taking pictures of the guest throughout the evening and playing a slideshow of these images during the event which added a nice personal touch to the evening. Dave did an amazing job and I'm so happy we decided to go with a DJ! I would recommend Dave to anyone seeking a fun and amazing DJ!

DJ Dave is the BEST! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ. what really put it over the top was he took and displayed pictures of guests throughout the night! All my guests were very impressed!

DJ Dave did such an amazing job! We had 150 guests and there was not one person that didn't step onto the dance floor. We paid him for the full day and he was present at the venue before we had even arrived to finish getting ready. He made sure that he played all of the music we requested and kept the flow of the wedding going. All of our guests raved about how well he did and how much they loved our wedding entertainment. We would highly recommend him.

Loved having DJ Dave at my wedding! He did a great job getting music that he didn't already have, and catering to my nerdy requests (Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and Final Fantasy). Since I was having an Indian-American fusion wedding, Dave was able to get some Bollywood music, to which my guests loved and loved dancing to! Dave is awesome, every vendor that asked who my DJ was told me "Oh you have the best of the best!" Highly recommended!

I was lucky to get DJ Dave for my wedding on 10/9/16 through Memories of Music. Dave was fantastic! Very responsive and easy to work with. Played awesome music for dancing, and was flexible. It was so fun I didn't want the party to end! Friends and family commented about how great the DJ was. I would highly recommend DJ Dave!

DJ Dave was wonderful. He only played the songs we wanted and kept everything running smoothly. We didn't have to worry about the timing of everything which made the night be completely stress free.

DJ Dave was everything we were looking for and everything we didn't know we needed. His website is easy to use, and he is flexible for meeting times, he was great entertainment and kept the party going. The only qualm I would have is he had an issue with one of the songs we wanted to play as our recessional. He was professional in asking if we were sure that was what we wanted (and it was) and still played it for us. He was worried it was too big of a change and would be a shock to our guests, but they all laughed and loved it- it was totally us. The problem then? He vocalized his disdain for the song to our friend who was marring us and word got around. It may not seem like a big deal since the song was played, but we were kind of miffed that he would do that especially since he had already talked to us and we made it clear we wanted it. Overall everything was great and we are happy we went with someone who had so much experience in keeping the wedding flowing because nothing felt rushed and we still did everything we wanted.

DJ Dave is AWESOME! He was incredibly organized, professional, and helpful in the time leading up to the wedding. The day of, everything ran so smoothly and he did a wonderful job of reading the crowd for music and involvement. I can't thank him enough for what a wonderful job he did. I would HIGHLY recommend him.

Dave was amazing. He is a genius at judging the crowd and keeping the party going. We had many guests approach us and ask us who he was. Everyone had a wonderful time and we saw people dance who we never thought we would see dance. He def ran the show and was amazing at it.

Our DJ was Dave from DJ Dave's. We picked him because my husband works at a wedding venue as a bartender and has seen pretty much every DJ in the Boise area. Dave was hands down his pick for our wedding. He gets people dancing, he dances, he doesn't just sit up there like a human ipod! He looks like he is genuinely having fun and got excited to see people participating and dancing. He added lots of little touches surrounding our grand introducation, first dance, father/daughter and mother/son dance. WE GOT MORE COMPLIMENTS ON THE DJ THAN ANY OTHER ASPECT OF OUR WEDDING! We also purchased can lighting from him-we had I think 10 cans of blue and pink lighting and it added so much to our space! We also had the starry night effect on the dance floor and I think that was also a great touch-this is something that adds a lot of ambiance without a huge price tag-I recommend this to anyone with an indoor/tented venue.

We were very happy with Dave! Our first impression of him was perfect, we were surprised by his professional attire and thrilled by his presentation. He was very accommodating when I chose very specific music for our ceremony. In the end the ceremony music was perfect, everyone loved how personal the music was and said it was beautiful. I loved that he let me choose my own songs and I didn't have to do the traditional wedding march. We rented him for the Unlimited Wedding Package. He also did our reception, which was a huge success. From our grand entrance music, to music during dinner, cake cutting and the toasts. I loved the special touch of playing my best friend and I's song after his toast! It was perfect and made him cry! Everyone said it was the best party they have ever been to! The music was fun and he played just the right songs to keep the party going. Guests stayed until we kicked them out! I highly recommend Dave!

If I could give Dave 10 stars I would!! He is absolutely incredible. My sister and I both had him DJ our reception and he is extremely interactive with everone and very receptive to the bride and groom's needs. He filled up our glasses before the toast even! He is amazing! Everyone that attended our weddings said they were the most fun weddings they had ever been to. Book him!!

DJ Dave was so much fun and he really was the entire facilitator of the reception. He played all the music we wanted and executed everything flawlessly. Honestly he is everything you want in a wedding DJ, and he even played music that wasn't in his collection by downloading it ahead of time, he went above and beyond to make our day unique.

DJ Dave was vital to our wedding. Meeting with him helped me piece together how the whole event should flow. He did a great job of keeping things moving without things seeming rushed. He even managed to get the "non-dancers" at our wedding out onto the dance floor. Dressed for the occasion, was courteous and just a lot of fun to work with.

If anybody is considering not hiring DJ Dave for your wedding, you're crazy! Dave is AMAZING and fun! He made my reception a blast- the dance floor was full, even though I thought nobody would be dancing! He is super friendly and has a lot of experience! He provided equipment for the ceremony and the reception, including lighting and a special light-up monogram for us! It was beautiful, fun, and energetic. Every other vendor I hired was ecstatic that I had hired him, they all agreed with me- He's Awesome!

i loved working with dj dave! he did a spectacular job! the lights, the music, and everything were so well done. he goes above and beyond. everyone had a blast and everyone was dancing. he definitely knows what he is doing and is not afraid to have fun. i would highly recommend him!! he is very professional and organized and that was something that i loved. he likes cheesy stuff, but if you don't want it, he won't do it. he doesn't pressure you and his pricing is so reasonable! go with dj dave! you won't regret it!!!

Dave had wondeful suggestions in our initial consultation. He's very experianced and knowledgable in what he does. He kept the party going all night and almost EVERYONE danced! The people at our venue said that that was the most fun and dancing they've ever seen at a wedding! He accomplished what I wanted was for everyone to have a good time!

Our DJ was great. He made our wedding personalized to our taste of music. He did a great job at getting our guests up and dancing as well as keeping everything that needed to be done like the cake cutting and bouquet toss, announced.

My DJ was Rory. He was amazing! Everyone said they had never had a better time at a wedding. Everyone was dancing and involved. He did an amazing job of choosing the right song at the right time to keep people happy. Rory was extremely helpful with planning too. I feel my money was well spent. Highly recommend him.
