Daryle and his team were great! They had multiple setups for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Their process was very organized and they helped us figure out the perfect vibe. They were even able to help coordinate with our videographer to deliver a live stream for our big day!

It was a pleasure to work with Ty Hussell! There are very few people I've worked with in any field who conduct themselves with Ty's level of thoughtfulness and professionalism. He listened carefully to the mood we were trying to express during cocktail hour and wedding reception and nailed it. Of the genres and artists we discussed, he was also excellent at reading the dance floor and choosing the best song for the moment. I had a few specific wedding ceremony audio processing requests for Ty, and he was patient and very easy to work with. Due to a family emergency, we had some last-minute modifications to our event and he was incredibly supportive and helpful there too. Ty is one of those rare people that you just know after talking to him that you can trust 100% to do a great job, and we would recommend him without reservation to anyone. He was a valued member of our team, and a gracious and kind human to boot! We really loved working with him.

We cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about our amazing DJ. DJ Ty was just perfect for our wedding. We wanted to have a great reception with people dancing and having fun all night, and that is exactly what we had. The songs were just perfect and they appealed to everyone and all their different styles. Just an absolute wonderful experience!!

We used DJ Stylus and had a fabulous experience! He was polished and professional leading up to the event, and he did a fantastic job creating the mood we wanted. Most importantly, he had the dance floor packed all evening. Every song he played was a hit! I would strongly recommend him for any event. Also, Daryle (the main point of contact) is extremely professional and responsive. All around great experience!

We had a great experience with Daryle (DJ DMAC) & Steven (DJ Stereo Faith)! When we first began searching for a DJ, we were turned off by many vendors who seemed like cheesy wedding DJs. When we found Daryle & Steven, we realized they were totally different, and more in line with what we were looking for. Steven was willing to share some venues he was playing in DC, so we actually got to scope him out at a club beforehand. I think it was definitely to our advantage to have a DJ who is current and still active in many venues in the area, and isn't just limited to weddings. We had multiple phone calls with Steven before the wedding, which really allowed us to fine-tune exactly what we were looking for from our DJ. When we asked for advice, Steven had really helpful suggestions as far as the flow of the night. The only thing that was less than ideal during the event planning was being made to use Basecamp for communication - you get a lot of redundant emails from this system, and it was annoying to search through every individual thread on the platform to find part of a previous conversation. However, I do understand why they use this system - so all of the information is in one place if a backup DJ needs to step in. Steven was very aware of our schedule throughout the wedding reception - we appreciated him prompting us when things were coming up (such as cake cutting and parent dances), and checking in to offer us more time when we fell slightly behind schedule. On top of all of that, Steven absolutely crushed the music for the night! It was a perfect mix of classic songs that get everyone on the dance floor, in addition to some more modern music that we wanted. In addition, Daryle & Steven were flexible and helpful when we wanted to add ceremony sound services just a couple of weeks before the event. Also, their pricing was completely reasonable. We truly had a great time dancing with all of our family and friends, & are so happy we went with DJ Stereo Faith!

Mutual friends recommended Daryle (DJ D-Mac) and I'm so glad they did! I knew I wanted my wedding to be an epic dance party, but had no idea how to research a DJ. Working with DJ D-Mac was low-key and easy, and his quick style of mixing was so unique to me. He had friends and family from so many walks of life basically losing their minds on the dance floor. The dancing portion of my reception was on the shorter side because of time constraints, yet he made it feel really substantial.

DJ D Mac and Associates were an absolute pleasure to work with, and they did an amazing job with everything from the ceremony to the reception! KC was an amazing DJ to work with, has great taste in music, and did a fantastic job pulling together a full nights’ playlist based off the song and genre input we gave him ahead of time. They were also great professionals in the pre-event work; KC was great in keeping in contact with us ahead of our wedding, and was on top of getting all the information he needed from us (schedules, event songs, do not play songs, and specific pronunciations of names) to make sure the event moved smoothly. We couldn’t have hoped for a better experience with DJ D Mac and associates, and would definitely recommend them!

We originally spoke to Daryle when booking with DJ D-Mac & Associates and he asked us some great questions to narrow down exactly what we needed even though we’d never hired a DJ before. We decide to book a lighting package too and I can’t imagine our reception without Daryle and Neal there to keep the party going. They kept the dance floor packed all night long and it was awesome to have the LED uplights pulsing to the music while the records were spinning. Our guests had so much fun and were talking for weeks about how great the DJ and lighting was.

We are so happy that we booked Daryle of DJ DMac and Associates for our wedding! (He is the owner of the company/ head DJ). He was referred to me by my sister, who happened to attend the wedding of a friend who had hired him as their DJ. My sister raved about how much fun they had and how she loved his music choices, so I was sold. From the beginning Daryle was professional and responsive. We met him once before the wedding, and then had various conversations via Basecamp and email. Basecamp is a really easy to use project management tool that allows you to store all conversations, wedding playlists, samples of songs, etc in one place. We gave some direction as far as the "do not play" songs and also the "must play" but other than that we left it up to him. He did a great job at reading the crowd and changing the music based on the vibe of the room. As the bride, I remember looking around and seeing so many people on the dance floor toward the end of the night and it was so exciting!! I had a few comments from friends/family that it was the best wedding dj they had heard. Thank you again to Daryle!! I would highly recommend!

We hired DJ Stereo Faith from DJ D-Mac and Ass. for our DC wedding. The online platform they use (Basecamp) was very easy to use to organize our event. Daryl, the owner, was very responsive. DJ Stereo Faith was accommodating for the kind of wedding style we wanted. He was also very good at getting to the venue and set up on time even though almost all the streets were closed leading up to our venue because of protest marches. We really enjoyed the quality of the speakers. The music sounded amazing. However, there are many things that we did not like. The microphones cut out every now and then. We put together music we wanted to definitely be played during our cocktail hour, along with song suggestions that the DJ could use to get a feel for our type of music. However, we heard the same songs played twice during cocktail hour, so I think he might have just taken my play list and put it on repeat. DJ Stereo Faith was also not a great MC. Although we asked him not to talk too much, he was average at best when it came to announcing the different events that took place during the wedding, such as wedding party entrances, first dances, cake cutting, etc. Also, he was not make smooth transitions between events. For example, after he announced us and we entered the room, it took him several seconds to start playing the song for our first dance, making for a really awkward 10 seconds in the middle of the dance floor. And then after the end of our first dance, there was another 10 seconds of no music, before he got back to playing cocktail music. These made for extremely awkward moments in the evening. We also had asked for only white uplighting, but once the dancing started, he had the uplighting change colors, making it feel more like a night club, which we did not want, nor did we ask for. Overall, if you are really picky about the sound and speaker quality, DJ D-Mac and Associates are top notch. However, DJ Stereo Faith was not as great of an MC for the price.

Daryl and Steven were a pleasure to work with. We began discussion with Daryl and he set us up with Steven who would be the DJ for our wedding. We met with Steven in person and discussed expectations, music genres, and our reception as a whole. Steven is very knowledgeable about everything and we knew we could trust him do a great job (which he did)! He took the pressure of running the reception off of us, it was great. Not only is he a great DJ and knows how to keep the party going but he also helped us figure out the main events of the reception (first dance, father/daughter dance, cake, etc.). Big thanks to Daryl and Steven for helping to make our wedding a success!

Neal Becton (DJ Neville C.) DJ'd our wedding in June 2016 and was fantastic. Huge repetoire (he owns Som Records in DC), spins vinyl (obviously can go digital if he doesn't have a particular record) and knows how to read a crowd. He had the dance floor packed all night. Multiple guests told me they were shazaming stuff during cocktail hour and the rest of the night was a massive dance party. Also, DJ D-Mac & Associates was the most affordable option by far. But make no mistake: the five star rating is for the music. That they were also the most affordable was just an added bonus. I'm confident you can stop your DJ search now, save a few bucks while your at it, and cross this off your never ending to do list.

If you are looking for a guaranteed way to keep your wedding guests on the dance floor, go with one of the amazing talents at DJ D-Mac & Associates. My husband and I hired DJ KC for our wedding cocktail hour and reception music and it was the BEST dance party we have ever attended! We had to move our cake table out of the way because the dance floor was overflowing--guests from ages 2 to 90 were out there dancing! KC was involved in the music selection and paid key attention to the genres we wanted (ex. 90’s rap, early 2000s, top hits) to make sure that every song was a crowd-pleaser and he did not disappoint. Highly recommend!

DJ D-Mac (Daryle) is the consummate professional and made our wedding celebration amazing! Not only was he incredibly easy to contact and thorough during the planning for the wedding, but he was exceptionally prepared and arrived early the day of the ceremony. Additionally, Daryle followed all of our requests perfectly while also seamlessly transitioning between the diverse genres. Our guests were sorry to leave at the end of the night as everyone thoroughly enjoyed dancing to his DJ talents. I am still surprised with how reasonable his rates are given how good he is and the many laudatory reviews he has received. Please accept my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION for Daryle - make the easy choice and call him!

Daryl is awesome, not your nightmare disk jockey. He helped us plan out our wedding and music to set the mood we wanted at each point of the night. Daryl was even able to get everyone up and dancing (which I thought for sure would never happen)! He's professional and prepared. No way you could go wrong!

We hired DJ D-Mac & Associates for our wedding in June and they were absolutely awesome! My husband has specific music tastes and DJ Jayclue was able to perfectly balance our preferences with classic dance tunes. The cocktail hour and reception were in the same location and he kept the party going throughout! He was incredibly professional ensuring everything from all possible equipment needs to the correct pronunciation of names. The dance floor was full all night long! Highly recommended!

I first got to know of DJ D-MAC & Associates while attending a friends wedding in DC a year ago. I loved the DJ they had (Neal Becton). He was friendly and read the crowd so well. I didn't stop dancing the whole night, and neither did the rest of the guests. When it came time to plan my own wedding, they were the first company I spoke with and I'm so glad we went with them. From my initial consultation with the owner (Daryle) to my subsequent conversations with Neal, I felt like I would have nothing to worry about the day of the wedding. They were very prompt with all communication, were always nice and professional, and even offered us a military discount (my husband is active duty). I did look into other companies to compare prices and thought they were slightly more expensive that some others in Fairfax County/Washington DC but the value was completely worth it. Neal had never been to our venue before but we met a few weeks before the wedding for a walk-through and he knew exactly where to put things and how the sound would impact the space. The day-of the wedding, he was where he needed to be on time, had everything set-up and ready to go and had the crowd going all night (even the older generations). When it came time for the 'last call' he went out of his way to find my husband and I and ask if we wanted anything in particular to end the night (on top of our 'must play' list). It was the perfect ending and I would wholeheartedly recommend Neal for any wedding or event. I'm sure the rest of the staff there would be amazing as well. 5 stars!!!

We recently celebrated our wedding in Washington DC even though my husband and I reside in Nigeria. We communicated with Daryle through phone, email and his preferred planning software and never actually saw him in person till the day of! Regardless, we felt 100% confident in his services from start to finish. He catered to our 50%+ Nigerian crowd with a range of music selections he found largely on his own accord. He was the perfect emcee as well: helping make only clear and relevant announcements to guide our reception along. Finally, Daryle and his associate also provided our microphones/speakers for the ceremony and the lighting for our reception. Again in all regards, we were completely pleased with his services. I would highly recommend DJ D-Mac. They are professional, reliable, motivated and will meet (or in our case, exceed) your expectations.

Absolutely perfect! DJ D-Mac did an amazing job. He was very responsive, flexible in scheduling times to discuss the event with us, and listened to our many (MANY) specific comments on the playlist. One of our concerns going into the night was that we made a point of excluding certain wedding dance favorites (e.g., YMCA, the Electric Slide, etc.), and we feared this could inhibit our guests from dancing/enjoying the evening. But our fears quickly subsided as D-Mac gave life to what we believed to be a fairly low-key playlist, transitioning seamlessly between songs and playing everything at just the right time. Overall, we didn't want a DJ to narrate the night and D-Mac did a great job of focusing on the music and making sure everyone had a great time. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Several of our guests even complimented us on the music that evening (asking if they could get copies of the song list), and many guests who we didn't expect to dance had to be dragged off the floor at the end of the night!

We were a little hesitant about using a DJ, since they are often cheesy and slightly awkward. However, DJ D-mac proved us wrong! He was AMAZING. He did a great job incorporating our must-have songs. We loved how he overlapped the songs, so there was never a lull. He really turned our wedding into a full-on party! People were dancing their hearts out, until the very end. We received so many compliments! It was more than we could have hoped for. You can't go wrong with these guys! Truly excellent!

DJ Micah Vellian was fantastic at our wedding! We had a small set-up in an art gallery, and he managed to blend in seamlessly for the cocktail hour and reception, and stand out (just enough!) for the dancing afterwards. Working with DJ D-MAC & Associates was very simple and straightforward. We had an easy time matching a DJ to our tastes and got to meet with him to review how we wanted the wedding to proceed. I would highly recommend DJ D-MAC and especially DJ Micah! We had such a marvelous night and he played a big role in that!

I had been to a wedding where D-Mac was the DJ and the dance floor was packed all night. Knowing that this is what I wanted for my wedding, I booked him right away. We were not disappointed. He customized his play list to our taste and he added a little of his own flavor in there too so there was something for everyone. Our guests were on the dance floor all night - it was packed. If you are looking for the cost of a DJ with the energy of a band, you should hire D-Mac!

DJ D-MAC was great to work with. Their staff were very responsive and professional, and there was a great selection of different DJs--we had no trouble finding one to suit our tastes. We especially appreciated that many of the DJs work in a variety of venues--including bars, clubs and lounges around the DC area--so we knew we were getting someone with more range and experience than a traditional wedding DJ. We worked with DJ Neville C. He met with us before the wedding to get a sense of our music tastes and discuss our vision for our wedding music. We provided a list of “must play” and “do not play” songs and DJ Neville C. did the rest. He did an amazing job of seamlessly blending the music from dinner to reception and kept our guests on that dance floor all night long. We loved DJ Neville C. and we would definitely recommend him and DJ D-MAC associates to anyone in the DC area.

Rusty B was our DJ for our wedding! He did both our outdoor ceremony and our reception. I thought he did an amazing job for our outdoor ceremony and it sounded exactly like I imagined. He kept our reception going and did a great job of keeping our timeline. Thank you!

DJ Atticus did a great job at our wedding. My husband knew DJ Atticus was for us after our first meeting when he let us know he could easily mix my love for Top 40 music and my husband’s love for Dropkick and the like… He originally had to set-up two systems, but that changed when rain threatened and our cocktail hour was moved inside. His introductions were on target and he didn’t pronounce one name wrong! We heard almost all the songs we wanted during the night and he did a great job keeping everyone on track. He was making edits to some compilations up to 3 days before the wedding and took great and meaningful recommendations from our guests (we encouraged this!) My only complaint is that I wish dancing could have lasted another two hours at least!!! It went way to fast!!!!!

DJ D-Mac & Associates are not your typical cheesy wedding DJs. They really keep the party going. Our DJ, Rusty, was fantastic. He didn't miss a beat, and did a great job of weaving in our requests with other great songs that matched our taste. This organization believes in making it about the music and the dancing, and not about them, which is so refreshing. Our guests had a GREAT time - the music never stopped - and Rusty kept everyone out on the dancefloor - even my grandparents. Rusty also took the time to meet with us ahead of time just to get to know us and our tastes, which was great. He got a really good idea of what we were looking for in our wedding DJ, and he exceeded all of our expectations. If you choose a DJ from DJ D-Mac's group, you won't be disappointed. Forget those weddings where you spend the night doing the cupid shuffle - these guys will really keep you partying all night long.
