DJ Doug

Doug DJ'ed our wedding last month. Our wedding was a daytime brunch buffet with lots of kids, seniors, and nerdy academics so we knew it wasn't necessarily going to be a wild dance party, but we still wanted it to be fun and to have people dancing if they wanted to. Doug did a great job combining oldies and new songs for a relaxed summery vibe. Some people danced, some people sat outside, some people chilled and talked. We were also planning our wedding from out of state, so he only had one conversation with my somewhat-music-illiterate now-husband and a Spotify playlist to go off of. There were a few snafus with the microphones during the ceremony (our officiant just ended up ditching the mic) and the toasts, which probably could have been avoided. But these things happen and it wasn't a big deal and no one cared. Overall, we would recommend DJ Doug! Thanks for everything!

My husband and I were initially quite nervous about finding a DJ for our October 2017 wedding. First, it was important to us to find someone who represented our varied, eclectic and alternative music tastes. Second, we were seeking a DJ who was genuine and relatable, rather than superficially friendly, schmoozy and ultimately self-involved and egotistical. After viewing DJ Doug’s sample playlists, we had an extremely good feeling that he would meet our musical needs. A preliminary phone conversation then completely confirmed that DJ Doug was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Doug is personable, attentive and a thoughtful listener. He was receptive, in fact, enthusiastic about all of our ideas. He worked with us in earnest to ensure that our event was exactly as we envisioned. Additionally, Doug is down-to-earth and unpretentious, which makes for an especially comfortable working relationship. He was easy to communicate and coordinate with, and was always reassuring, which was so helpful to me as an anxious bride. Doug took extra care to ensure that the music he played was the music we love--he never surprised us with music outside of our preferences despite how unconventional our requests may have been. As for musical elements of the day, Doug managed our ceremony processional and recessional perfectly, his selections for socializing/mood music were charming and flawless, and with regards to dancing-- we had a blast! I did not leave the dance floor all evening. Also important to note, Doug may not fully advertise himself as an MC, but he was FANTASTIC in this regard. He facilitated our buffet, toasts and our formal dances (including an involved anniversary dance!) with positive energy and ease. We could not have asked for anything more. We are so happy to have worked with DJ Doug, and are grateful to him for helping to make our wedding exactly what it should be--an authentic reflection of us.

Doug was the DJ for my wedding this past Sunday evening. He did an amazing job from start to finish. Working with him before the wedding was easy and fantastic. He listened to my fiance and I and really worked within our eclectic musical tastes. We are a nontraditional couple and did not want some of the traditions for our wedding that most dj's are accustomed to and Doug had no problem working with what we wanted. He made things very special and individualized. Doug was both professional and personable and I couldn't recommend him enough for a couple who is looking for a less traditional "wedding DJ". We received SO many compliments on the music all night from so many different people of all ages and styles. I could not have picked a better dj for the evening.
