DJ Gene Lovin

DJ Gene Lovin is extraordinarily amazing! He and his wife work together as a duo to capture everything you could wish on your wedding day. They answer emails quickly, met with us for a consultation, attended rehearsal and kept us on track the day of the wedding. I could not have asked for a better DJ!!

Gene and Brenda Lovin are awesome! My daughter was married in August 2015, and I can truly say they want you to be able to sit back and really enjoy your wedding. Not only were they able to help with music suggestions, but Brenda helped to organize and coordinate the wedding party. From the first phone call, to the emails, face-to-face meetings, and finally the rehearsal and wedding day, they were always eager to help and easy to communicate with. Not only did they keep the party going, but they also sent us DVDs with candid photos and a video of the wedding itself. I would highly recommend them!

First, I should say that DJ Gene Lovin & Brenda are sweet and kind people. My daughter and I communicated with Brenda through email and both of us became concerned that Brenda couldn't keep our wedding details straight right from the start. I spoke with Gene Lovin on the phone and he answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly. We went with them for 3 reasons: [1] Experience with being DJ. [2] Provided dance lighting at no extra charge [3] Brenda helps act as a day of wedding coordinator We meet the day before for a walk through and I had extremely detailed notes/timelines. We talked extensively about what was to happen and left nothing to question. We were extremely pleased with the walk through. My daughter had a specific and detailed music list to play during the cocktail hour, dinner & dancing. The cocktail hour and dinner DJ Lovin played much of his own music. We approached him several times through the night as we recognized the DJ wasn't playing from the list provided . Secondly, Brenda got the timeline confused, which was disappointing, as we went over in great lengths during the walk through and provided a very detailed timeline. DJ Lovin did not bring any dance lighting , which was an aspect in choosing him over other DJ's. Then lastly, they cut us an hour short at the end of the night. Our timelines were on paper and no time discrepancy was ever brought to our attention during the walk through or emails. The bride and groom had planned on dancing with friends for the last hour. That last hour was to be the bride and grooms special hour with their friends. Their time was cut short.

What a great wedding reception!!! Gene and his wife are unbeatabl. Very personable and easy to work with. World class music catalog... takes the pressure off. Give them the itinerary and they'll take it from there. Keeps the crowd entertained... competitive price...Sent a gift DVD that was awesome..
