Greg was attentive, fun, personable, and so incredibly skilled at what he does. He had the best line up of songs that kept all of our guests dancing all night long and everything ran so smoothly. When we had special requests prior to the wedding such as a mash up for the father/daughter dance, Greg mixed the tracks together and sent it over promptly, helping make our vision come to life! We got married almost a month ago, and our family and friends are STILL talking about how much fun Greg made our wedding. We heard about DJ Greg through another family member who attended a wedding that he DJ'd, and we were sold on the fact that he kept the dancefloor going all night. Fast forward to our wedding, and that is exactly what happened. He was able to include music that appealed to all the guests at our wedding while keeping the energy high and the vibes even higher. Greg took the time to get to know my husband and and I during many email conversations, through dinner and made the effort to ensure everything was perfect (down to the font of our names!) during wedding day. From the song mixes, to the photo booth to the uplighting, it was a perfect blend of happiness. We cannot recommend Greg enough as a wedding DJ - he truly was the cherry on top of a perfect day!

One of the hardest choices we had to make was the DJ, not having seen anyone perform. Greg's easy, but professional manner set us right at ease. he really understands that music sets the tone of the whole event. If there is any part of our wedding that could have been on autopilot, it would have been Greg. He set the entire tone - had a surprise screen on his booth (which took up almost no space) with our names and the wedding date. later in the night, it played portions of old music videos for songs and all the pictures from the selfie booth. you absolutely have to do the selfie booth - was the biggest hit of the night. He did not miss one of our "must plays" (you do have to have reasonable list so he can manage the crowd energy without a 50 song playlist of your own - for that you don't need a DJ). He was also present when needed but faded into the proceedings in a way that let our friends and family shine. He walked us through all our preferences (we had a few quirks with no parents on one side etc). Hire him and just let him do his job and I guarantee you - you will be thrilled. wish i had another night to dance all night with him mixing it up!

Greg was highly recommended by our wedding planner and he did not disappoint! He was super fun to work with, friendly, professional, and extremely talented. He totally nailed the music we wanted during our reception. He even worked with us to figure out logistics so that one of our friends could play the saxophone during our reception. Everyone - young and old - was on the dance floor all night!!

Greg was absolutely fantastic for our wedding! Prior to the day, he was extremely responsive and took the time to understand our vision. On our day, he exceeded our expectations! We felt he understood what we were looking for took that into account when doing what he does best. Almost every single guest was on the dance floor for the entirety of the night! We hired DJ Greg for our wedding, including ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He came highly recommended from another vendor we hired. After meeting with him, I noticed his professionalism, thoroughness, and flexibility. It can be overwhelming to choose music and songs for an event, but he was more than willing to assist where necessary. He answered any questions I had without any hesitation and made sure he understood our style when we met with him. We had an outdoor ceremony in a location that was very important to my husband and me. In the last hour the weather forecast changed to 90% chance rain. I took a gamble and crossed my fingers it would be a light rain, so we could still get married in our favorite location. Unfortunately, it ended up raining pretty heavily but our ceremony went on. We were incredibly grateful that Greg stuck with us through the whole ceremony, while getting poured on. That shows huge commitment and dedication to his customers. During our reception, we also had the social booth which our guests LOVED. They were either at the social booth or dancing the night away. It was important to me that our DJ have a professional appearance as I’ve seen some messy looking set ups with cords all over, causing quite an eyesore. DJ Greg had a beautiful and professional set up that helped put the final touches to the clean look we were going for. My guests remarked how well the DJ was “reading the room” with his playlist, which is an important factor. I would hire DJ Greg again in a heartbeat!

Greg was perfect to work with as we planned our wedding. We made quite a long list of songs we wanted played before the ceremony, during cocktail hour and at the reception. He was so great during this entire process and even helped picked out our last song of the night. The form was so easy to fill out and update as we got closer to the wedding. He even made a custom song for me to walk down the aisle to. We bought the party pack and Photo Booth and they were such a big hit with our guests. It was such a great time and can’t wait to hire him again for our next event.

When our wedding planner told us that Greg was the best DJ in Maine, we didn’t think twice before booking him, feeling grateful that he was still available for our date. I’m now convinced that Greg might be the best DJ…ever!? He threw an absolute RAGER for us - I’ve never had so much fun on a dance floor. He read the room beautifully, playing songs and genres that we had requested but also mixing in other jams that totally hit. I can’t tell you how many of our guests told us that DJ Greg was the MVP of the weekend. In addition to an absolutely lit dance floor, Greg spent time getting to know us in the months leading up. He puts a great deal of care into his work and treats his clients incredibly well. When I switched up the parent dance song 5 mins before the dance was supposed to start, he didn’t blink an eye. From our first conversation with Greg, we knew that we were in good hands regarding all things music. He led us through a simple and organized process of picking out all the songs/music that we needed throughout the day. When we needed some recommendations he was more than happy to help and was super fast to respond. The best part of our experience with Greg was the day of our wedding. Once the dance floor opened we didn't leave once! He kept the great music flowing all night and everyone who attended our wedding had the best time because of it. Greg was a joy to work with leading up to our wedding, and kept the dance floor full all night. Before our first planning meeting, we were very indecisive about music for our ceremony, first dance, and parent dances. Greg not only offered up many playlists for us to listen to for inspiration but also helped us nail down a timeline for incorporating those dances into our evening. Greg was a great DJ for our wedding! He worked with us over 2 years thought covid postponements, and worked with me to play a special recording I made for my father-daughter dance. He then kept the evening on fire by reading the crowd and playing what the people NEEDED, let alone wanted! Everyone raved about the music. Greg was professional and even helped make impromptu announcements when we were wrapping up. You won't be disappointed hiring him!

There's a lot to reflect on after your wedding day, and because we hired Northeast Event Design/Greg, my husband and I get to reminisce about how smooth our day flowed and how much freaking fun our dance floor was. From a logistics standpoint, Greg was a pure expert in keeping our event moving right to schedule from the prelude all the way through the last song. He guided guests confidently and easily, making sure everyone knew where to go or what to expect in that next 'phase' of our event, just as planned. But you don't hire a DJ for the logistics craft (although it is important!). You hire them to make sure you have a party fit for you and your person. Getting married in our 30s meant we had been to our fair share of weddings with dull dance floors, so for us personally, it was incredibly important we hired someone who could throw a banger. And damn, did we get our banger. When I say we could not be an ounce of bothered to leave our dance floor, I mean it. Greg took our "love playlist" and "do not playlist" to heart, using those songs we requested but also adding in other songs he knew we'd love based on the style we shared. We loved every second of it, and so did our guests! Our planning with Greg was also seamless. He has an intuitive portal to work from -- to review your contract, pay installments and send information he needs to curate your event to your liking/schedule -- which makes it really easy. Lastly, beyond his DJ skills, Greg is simply an A+ human being - the kind of person you want, not just need, to work with. He's responsive, professional, kind and fun and someone we would often find ourselves chatting with beyond our allotted time to talk about "work", just because we wanted to. It should be obvious by now, but we could not recommend Greg more highly to any other couple. Thank you, Greg, for all you did to make our day magic!

We could tell he genuinely cared about our wedding and it showed in his work. He made sure all the details of our day were addressed; scheduling planning sessions far in advance to ensure nothing was overwhelming. He did a great job listening to our vision and giving his professional guidance. His equipment for both the ceremony and reception were noticeably high quality and sounded fantastic Greg's skills shone again at the reception. He did a great job reading the room and with his beat-matching transitions, no one wanted to leave the dance floor. The compliments on the party his music created keep pouring in - multiple guests wanted his contact information. Greg let his music and our guests be the real show. A great person and great DJ!

We hired Greg to DJ our wedding and the entire process was so professional and thorough. Holy cow I knew Greg would be an amazing DJ but after seeing him work his magic on at our wedding that statement doesn’t even do him justice! I had people coming up asking if we gave him a list of songs because they PERFECTLY captured everything we love! Everyone was impressed by Greg. He is an incredible DJ, so detail oriented, calm, prepared, fun, and might we even add that his voice is perfect over a microphone too? I give him the highest recommendation.

Wow! Greg Young was amazing to work with! I experienced Greg at my friends wedding and was ecstatic that he was available for our New Years day wedding. Greg was very professional and personable. He checked in every few months during our planning and offered many helpful suggestions through our the planning. Greg took the time to get to know us on a personal level vs a business level. DJ Greg Young is simply the BEST! Since day 1, he was always unbelievably responsive, organized and he is just so down to earth and so kind. Our wedding was postponed due to Covid and Greg ended up connecting with my family to put together a little video with photos and videos from friends to commemorate the little backyard ceremony that we had last year. And he did this amazing gesture simply because he wanted to see us smile! Our wedding day was unreal - he had everyone on the dance floor the entire night, he knows how to read the vibe of the crowd and this combined with the awesome photo booth (his photo booth attendant was also amazing) and the up-lighting throughout our barn venue - it made our night that much more memorable. 12/10 stars for Greg - I can't say enough good things about him, so whatever event you are planning, please connect with him - it'll be one of the best decisions you'll ever make!

If it were possible to give 6 stars I would. My wife and I are very laid back people and not overly enthusiastic about planning anything so you can imagine a wedding was a daunting task. Greg was phenomenal throughout the entire process. He walked us through every one of his services, and helped us visualize how each would look and feel on the day. He never pushed us in any direction and maintained a level of excitement that was both professional and energizing for the two of us. As the event approached he worked with us to get every detail correct and to really get a feel for what we wanted musically. Again, my wife and I are not big on detailed planning so we gave him some general ideas, but for the most part trusted him to curate something amazing. To say he DELIVERED would be a gross understatement. The ceremony and dinner service was flawless, neither my wife nor I had to think about a thing and Greg’s MC-ing and song choices were amazing. When the dance floor opened up, the guests practically RAN to it and they remained on that dance floor until the final song of the evening. Our families were adamant that they had never seen anything like it. Not only did the two of us love every selection he made, but we heard endless stories of how great he was from practically all of our family and friends. Greg, thank you so much for being such a huge part of our special day and for absolutely crushing every aspect of it.

Simply put, Greg is the only DJ you need to consider. My fiancé (now wife) and I had to unexpectedly bump up our wedding date and knew the truncated time table would be a challenge for anyone…or so we thought. Greg was on it! He traveled to meet us and took his time to listen and understand not only the type of music that we liked, but also what type of experience we wanted to have. Greg's professionalism, experience, friendliness and energy made us feel comfortable making the choice, and he did not disappoint. He followed up with us several times, kept us on track and even spoke with the venue and other vendors to coordinate the timing and details. Personally, I was a little nervous with the timing of transitioning between the various ceremony songs. However, the transitions were flawless, and I was worrying for nothing. He made sure to play the specific songs we wanted to hear but also had tons of hits ready to go. Something we really appreciated was that he modified the play list depending on the age of the crowd. As the night progressed and our older family members began to leave, the music began to get "younger" as well. The crowd had a great time and there wasn't a single occupied seat. If you want the chicken dance experience, he can probably do that. If you want a modern or custom experience unique to your day, he can do that too. You will not regret hiring Greg.

Greg performed at our wedding a couple of weeks back and killed it. He was incredibly consultative, supportive and flexible. We had a few transitions from building to building (we got married at Linekin Bay) and he was calm, cool, and collected throughout it all along with a few different set ups. Would highly recommend him.

He offered so many options beyond just playing music, such as uplighting, photo streaming & a photo booth. We took full advantage of almost all of it & our ceremony/reception went far beyond our expectations. I’m a straight shooter and I never go out of my way to provide feedback unless it is completely warranted. In this case I felt a need to write about my amazing experience with Greg over at NorthEast Event Design. Let me begin by saying planning a wedding is not easy and at times can be very stressful. Greg made everything so easy..not once did I stress about anything DJ or MC related. He made us feel like we were his number one priority every time we spoke. Any request we had or advice we needed he was there for us. I can say he bent over backwards for us and went above & beyond for all of our needs. He was friendly and professional..he made us feel at ease and less stressed for our wedding. His uplighting was beautiful and it made our reception look really good. We gave him a lot of control over what songs to play and he got people on the dance floor! We had a tiny wedding of only 36 but there wasn’t a moment the dance floor wasn’t packed. There’s not enough kind words I can say about Greg and how incredibly happy we were with choosing him to be our DJ. Great guy..made our lives easier and less stressed..professional & takes his job very seriously...provides superb entertainment..would highly, highly recommend his services!
