Our dance floor musicians use wireless mics which allow them to interact with and better entertain your wedding guests. We also offer services for every part of your wedding day, including but not limited to ceremony strings, cocktail hour jazz combos, uplighting, stage effects, photo booths & more! We are a husband and wife team that run DJ Hybrid Chicago! Mike originally started on the band side of the business as a musician himself and while Marisa worked in event planning. We developed the DJ Hybrid concept giving couples the versatility of a DJ while still keeping the interactivity of Live Musician. You'll hear from one (or both!) of us as you start your wedding journey.

We booked DJ Hybrid Chicago’s Almost a Band package (DJ + sax, drums, and violin) for our backyard wedding, and it was a huge hit! Cliff, our DJ/MC, was fantastic — professional, f...

un, and kept everything flowing smoothly. For dancing - we started with the Sax + Drums who got our dance floor started (at one point I think the sax was leading a conga line) — we then had the Violin jump in an hour into dancing to add a super fun surprise to the dancing. The dance floor was packed all night, and our guests are still raving about how unique and fun it was.

r and drummer prior to the wedding, but my concerns were immediately put to rest when the entertainment started! The energy, professionalism, and talent of the artists was phenomenal! Our DJ did a great job engaging our guests during introductions and toasts and the live musicians blew away our guests. Everyone was on the dance floor having a great time! I highly recommend DJ Hybrid Chicago!!!

than a band as you get the original songs that are greatly enhanced with the added musicians. Better than most wedding bands. Highly recommend.

our grand entrance into the reception and it was amazing! Our guests are still talking about it. Marisa and the entire team were so great and easy to work with, I would 100% recommend DJ Hybrid for anyone looking for a band or DJ for a wedding or event! It truly was the best of both worlds with the upbeat hype of a DJ and amazing instrument accompaniment.

perfect solution. We also really wanted to work with a team that had experience with weddings, and DJ Hybrid’s expertise truly showed. They were familiar with our venue and worked with both the DJ and musicians to offer insightful suggestions that helped the day run smoothly.   We had a few “must-play” songs in mind but were unsure about curating a playlist that would resonate with everyone. The DJ Hybrid team guided us with song recommendations that not only aligned with our personal taste but also complemented the instrumental selection (We chose electric violin). The DJ onsite did an incredible job blending oldies with more modern hits, creating the perfect vibe all night.  Overall, we couldn’t recommend them more highly—they went above and beyond to ensure our day was everything we hoped for and more.
