Jim did such a great job for our wedding. Very professional and easy to work with. Most importantly, made our wedding a huge success. We can't thank Jim enough. We would highly recommend him.

Jim was a great DJ to work with. His packet of needed information made preparing easy and a quick item to check off the list. He has a great attitude, very personable and my guest loved him. He did a great job following our Playlist as I had different types of music for different times of our reception. Also using his knowledge and know how to make it better with his choice of how the Playlist should flow. Highly recommend having Jim DJ your wedding.

Jim was excellent! He showed up promptly for set up and made sure he was prepared for all outcomes (we were on the fence between inside or outside ceremony until the last minute). He helped us pick out songs and had great playlists. He kept everyone on the dance floor until the end of the night and was great at handling guests bad requests. He emceed the speeches and introductions and was overall just a nice guy.

Our DJ was an absolute rockstar! The dance floor was never empty, and the party vibes were off the charts. They were so professional and easy to communicate with before the wedding, making sure all our music preferences were covered. They were also incredibly accommodating, mashing up songs for us and going with the flow as we changed our minds multiple times on certain songs. We felt like the center of attention, and they made our night so special. If you want a DJ who knows how to keep the party going and respects your wishes, look no further. Highly recommend! 🎵🎉

My husband and I worked with Jim for our happily ever after party (1 year anniversary party after eloping). Jim knocked it out of the park! We had family members who never dance actually on the dance floor, having a blast! The dance floor was still full when he played his last song. Jim also helped us out by providing music for our vow renewal ceremony, our "happy hour", and the formalities during the reception portion of our evening. We had some very specific song choices, and he didn't miss a beat. Jim also helped us out by announcing tables to keep dinner service running smoothly, which was a huge help in getting dinner served quickly. All of his time on the mic was tasteful & didn't detract from the moment. Leading up to our party, Jim was responsive and communicative. On the day of, he showed up on time and ready to go. I was able to relax knowing that Jim was making sure things were running smoothly, which was huge for me to be able to enjoy the day. If you want a reliable, professional, organized, and FUN DJ, book Jim!!

DJ Jim Severance was awesome! He was one of the most affordable options available, but you wouldn't know it based on his service. He showed up early, was not in the way at all, and everything worked without a problem including the mic for our officiant. We had our ceremony and reception steps away from each other, and he was able to move from our ceremony outside to the cocktail hour to the reception seamlessly. He asked us for must-play and do not play songs, offered requests to guests (but said he would only do so if we wanted him to), and really played some awesome songs. Everyone said they had a blast and most people were on the dance floor all night!

We cannot say enough nice things about our experience with DJ Jim! He was so organized, professional, and most importantly kept the dance floor full the whole night. Other vendors told us that our wedding had the most dancing they had seen as well - really no one sat down the whole night. In addition to our reception, he also provided the microphone and speakers for our ceremony and helped troubleshoot amidst a surprise summer rain burst and then a short delay to our outdoor ceremony. He’s seriously the best and great value.

Jim did an amazing job of working with us to make our ceremony, entrance and reception music all that we want it to be! He listened to what we wanted, what we didn’t want and asked great questions to help make the music for our special day all come together! He did a wonderful job including our must play song list in among other great songs that kept our guests on their feet, dancing!

Jim was incredible!! First and foremost, he is so friendly and is a true professional. I immediately knew we were in good hands after our very first conversation. He really listened to us and understood and respected our vision and choices. He communicated with us, arrived promptly on site and was flexible due to the weather, and created such a fun environment. When our reception started, I couldn’t believe how many people were up and dancing during the very first song! Our dance floor was packed the ENTIRE night! I highly recommend Jim to anyone planning an event. He truly made it wonderful.

Jim was amazing! Sometimes when you go to weddings the music is so loud you can’t talk but Jim knew exactly how loud to put the music and when to turn it up and turn down. He was amazing at introducing everything and everyone! He was very easy to talk to day of and leading up to the wedding, he even asked us how everything was going half way through the wedding! 10/10 would recommend! No complaints!!

I had been to another wedding where Jim was the DJ and based on my experience it was a no brainer when planning my own wedding. Jim was awesome to work with and made our wedding so much fun! He played the best songs, kept the dance floor busy all night and entertained all ages. Our guest raved about him and had so many compliments. My aunt has catered and worked at many weddings, she said by far his PA system for our ceremony was the best she had ever heard. Jim was a wonderful DJ for our wedding! He was very easy to communicate with in advance and did an amazing job from the ceremony through to the reception on our wedding day. DJ Jim Severance was so kind and flexible for our Halloween wedding! He made sure everyone was dancing throughout the night and was so flexible when we had a last minute song change. Jim truly made our wedding experience run smoothly and was great with suggestions. Even with some last minute changes, he didn’t make us feel stressed about changing things. Jim was outstanding! With covid happening we had to cancel our first ceremony. Not wanting to there as no choice, Jim was super flexible and was able to accommodate our second date! He as professional and courteous from the beginning. He was always there for our daughter and future husband! He did exactly what they wanted. He spoke to them a few times before the wedding to make sure they had everything they wanted. At the venue he was fun, energetic and just made the day so much fun! I called him at the last min after my DJ wasn’t able to do it. Jim went above and beyond with such short notice. He kept everyone dancing, not only on the dance floor but over by the fire. (It was cold). He really did an awesome job!

We could not have asked for a better DJ than Jim! He completely exceeded our expectations (and music is a huge deal for us) so that's saying a lot! He was easy to communicate with during the planning stage, he helped us structure the "order of events" as we weren't sure what was best, he arrived plenty early to the reception to make sure he was ready when our guests arrived, and he helped rally everyone into the tent for our entrance. The songs he played were perfect for all ages.. our dance floor was full the entire night! I would recommend him to everyone!!

Jim did such an amazing job with our un-traditional venue! We were worried about the way the venue was set up (multiple-rooms without audio running throughout) but Jim rose to the challenge, setting up multiple stations as needed depending on what was happening at that time. While our guests tended to mingle and there wasn't much dancing (although we enjoyed a lot of our time on the dance floor), Jim kept his energy level up and did a fantastic job from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Jim was absolutely amazing fun and professional! He got all the guests involved and honestly helped walk us through a lot of the wedding procedural stuff that we had no clue about. Jim had our guests on the dance floor all night! I had many guests tell me they loved the music. Jim was great to work with and he listened to what we wanted in a DJ/song choices and did an amazing job. He helped keep the night on schedule but wasn’t on the mic too much he.. a perfect balance. My Husband & I highly recommend Jim. He did an AWESOME job & we would be pleased to hire him for all our Dj needs. Through emails and a meeting prior to the wedding, he really got a sense of the music we wanted for the cocktail hour and reception. Jim made sure the dance floor was never empty, and was one of the easiest vendors we worked with!

I would give Jim 4 1/2 stars, he was responsive and attentive with the pre planning and fairly priced. I did feel as though our bouquet toss was very late in the night and there were a few song on our must play list that were not played but I know we had a lot of guest requesting songs.

Jim was great! We were never able to meet up face to face before the wedding but he was great with going over details via telephone. He is detail oriented to ensure your big day goes as planned and really thinks of everything when it comes to background music during cocktail hour and dinner. He was really great at reading the crowd and playing music that fit with our wants as well as what our guests wanted. We would highly recommend him. It was wonderful not to have to worry about who was keeping the party going so we could dance and mingle!

Jim was great! He was very easy to work with from a distance (we live out of state and weren't able to meet in person before the wedding) and accommodated our diverse music interests. We were able to submit favorite songs for the cocktail hour/dinner music as well, and all generations had fun dancing until the end of the reception! He arrived early and was very nice and reliable. Jim was a great DJ for our wedding. He was easy-going, flexible, and personal. My husband and I met up with him and discussed the overall feeling and tone of our wedding. He took notes, made helpful suggestions, and made a real effort to get to know the two of us and just we wanted for our wedding day. We instantly felt like we had chosen a great DJ; he made us feel at ease right away and we left the initial meeting feeling confident and worry-free about his services. We left a lot of the dance music decisions to him, but requested dinner music from Disney movies and he picked all the best songs. He had a wonderful energy during the reception and he got everyone dancing. Really, everyone. There wasn't an empty seat. He read the crowd, played all the right songs, and kept the energy high the entire night. He was a great vendor through and through.

Jim Severance was our DJ at our wedding reception recently. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and that he was willing to work with me from over 1000 miles away as I was planning my wedding from a different state. I can honestly say I loved every song he played during our reception, and he was so accommodating to a few special requests that I had! He did a superb job, and I could honestly tell that he loves what he does. Highly recommend!
