pleasure to work with. He is professional and fun and will tailor your wedding to exactly what you want. We had an initial meeting to go over our thoughts for how we wanted to ceremony and reception to go. He had tons of ideas for music during certain situations or activities during the reception and we got to tailor everything to what we wanted. We could name specific songs and he would build a playlist around them, or just give him a mood or a genre and he would do the rest. Jim needed no guidance or help from us the entire wedding day, which meant we could focus on getting ready and getting married. And it was such a relief to let go during the ceremony and let Jim cover everything. We worked with him to make a pre-set list beforehand of timing and order of activities. Then, day-of, from entrances to parent dances, dinner to dancing, cake cutting to the bouquet toss and more, Jim ran the reception and we just followed along. The pacing was perfect, the music transitions seamless, the reception activities flowed one into another, keeping everyone engaged and partying. He did a great job reading the crowd and choosing songs to keep the energy going. Jim gave us exactly what we wanted and made the day as stress-free as he could.

We did provide a general theme for our wedding- vintage Thanksgiving, and Jim was able to help curate a playlist that fit our vibe. We selected jazz covers and artists to play throughout cocktail hour and dinner service before turning over to popular hits for dancing the night away. DJ Jimbo has a great DJ voice that is clear and easy to understand. He is also very professional and does not interrupt or talk too much during the event (like some other DJs do). We also selected the uplighting package to add additional ambiance to our reception space. DJ Jimbo has great packages at amazing pricing and I would definitely recommend him to everyone!

I were extremely pleased with Jim's services for our wedding reception. Our planning with him was a breeze and we could tell from Jim's experience that he knew how to MC a reception with ease. He was very professional and his sound system was perfect for our venue (101 guests). He really read the crowd and played music perfectly suited for all ages and generations. Our elderly/senior guests heard the classics (at the perfect volume) and our bar tender actually complimented Jim to me for playing awesome throwback dance music like the Backstreet Boys and Trey Songz! He also included surprises that bride and groom LOVED, such as "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast at the moment dinner was served! I was delighted. We literally heard every song we were looking for, and so much more. To top it off, Jim wore a suit and tie that perfectly coordinated with our wedding colors. We were so pleased with his professionalism, experience, and energy. If you want a night to remember, you should hire DJ Jimbo for your wedding! Our guests are still raving about him a month later!

Picking the right music is hard, and not only did Jim give us good suggestions for parts we didn't think of (entrance music, cake cutting), he knew helpful things to announce for guests, timing ideas, took great requests. Best of all... our guests were on the dance floor all night! And this is no easy feat... my husband and I went to a wedding three weeks after where the two of us (as newleyweds wanting to dance more than we were able to at our own wedding) and kids were the only ones on the dance floor. And my husband and I eventually gave up because he only played one slow set and the rest of the music was odd beats you couldn't decide if you should slow dance or fast dance with. Bad. Jim kept it mixed up, played requests and was comfortable on the mic with emceeing.
