DJ Joey Hayes

I would definitely recommend Joey to anyone out there looking for a fun and charismatic DJ. He was super professional and very helpful. We had quite a few curveballs thrown our way and he was able to adjust very well. He incorporated our song requests which were a lot and he knew exactly how to keep everyone dancing and having fun. He was also very interactive and his vibe was super positive the whole time. Of all the things that we went through planning this wedding, it turned out better than we ever imagined and Joey was a big part of making that happen. Very professional yet easy to talk to and was always smiling. Again, I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ.

Joey did an amazing job at our wedding on 09/20/2019! He was better than I could’ve asked him to be. He kept EVERYONE (even relatives that do not dance) on the dance floor, literally all night long. Not only did he play songs that kept people on their feet but he was well spoken and most importantly (to me anyway), funny! He had everyone laughing too! It was absolute pleasure to have him DJ for us. I would use him for every event if I could. I know I’m going on and on but he truly was amazing which leads me to one of my favorite things. I told Joey before he came to our venue they didn’t have much of a set up for him. Just a fold out table with linen. Well, Joe showed up in style! The set up was so professional and he even hooked it up with the exact color lighting we asked for plus some! It was absolutely perfect, and I have him to thank for it.

I was recommended to use Joe and while he was super duper professional, easy to get ahold of, and nice.... he kind of let us down at our wedding. Our venue threw a curve ball at him 4 days before our wedding and said that the speakers he has and uses for every wedding have been banned at our venue (neighbors complained about noise and now make all dj’s use a crappy speaker). He handled it super well and I was very happy and grateful. But, night of my wedding, he forgot the Father Daughter / Mother Son dance (and he had a print out of the itinerary in front of him, when the speeches were etc). And while it may not seem like a big deal, to us it was, it was a huge deal. My dad and I had rehearsed the dance, my husband and his mom thought long and hard about a song, all for nothing. By the time we realized that we didn’t do the dance, it was 30 mins before wedding was over, photographer had already left, and everyone was drunk. I just can’t quite seem to shake this huge and special moment that was completely missed on our wedding day, and for that I don’t recommend him.
