The best decision we made while planning our wedding was hiring Jon Gill. During planning, the most important part for both of us was making sure that the music was amazing. Our guests have been RAVING about the music ever since. Jon is easygoing and detail oriented.We provided him with a list of musical preferences and told him it was just a starting point to give him an idea of what we would like to hear (not a playlist). Jon hit every single thing on the list, and simultaneously played to the desires of our guests all night. We gave him a timeline of the wedding with the important songs and moments and he not only hit every single one, but he kept the momentum of the event going. (An under-appreciated role of the DJ is to keep the wedding moving along. Trust me, you will get distracted and need this...). Jon is flexible enough to adapt to last minute changes. He even added a personal touch when he recommended a song for the recession at our ceremony. In the heat of planning we had forgotten to pick a song for this integral part of the event. He pointed it out the day before and we both sat like deer in headlights at the brink of despair. He immediately recommended the perfect song. This guy is the real deal. If you want your wedding to have the special feel that it can only have when the music is right, the timing is good, and everyone is smiling then SERIOUSLY look no further. Jon is the additional factor that turned a beautiful venue with good food into a wedding celebration that was really reflective of our personalities and dreams.

Jon Gill is a professional. He was by far my favorite person to work with while planning my wedding. He was easy to work with and just a pleasure to have announce my husband and I as Mr. & Mrs. When I contacted Jon about the date he took down all the details and ensured that I had everything I needed (contract, specs for equipment, etc.), he made amazing suggestions which made for flawless ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception audio and music. He worked with my adventurous playlist for the ceremony and my do-not playlist, he even managed to incorporate all of the traditional Dominican songs I sent a list of into the evening which made for the most meaningful and authentic father-daughter dance ever. If you are still thinking about who you will have DJ your event look no further! Jon has the experience and the natural ability to make your wedding or event timeless.

We cannot say enough about just how wonderful Jon was. Jon honored all of our specific requests, including a bunch of Hindi songs. He also handled requests from the guests with perfect judgment. But he was at his best when he was making the selections, playing all sorts of songs that we hadn't thought of or wouldn't have expected, but all of which were smashing successes on the dance floor. He kept the dancing going strong for hours, until the very end of the night, when everyone was literally chanting for more. Our families, friends, and family friends all commented on how fantastic the music was. We cannot recommend Jon more strongly.
